Vue on 30AWe had a wonderful dinner.We had a wonderful dinner. Great food and great service. We sat next to the windows for a beautiful view of the ocean. Vue is a new one but it rocketed to the top of our list of places to dine when we feel like having a really special meal. The ambiance inside is quite modern and beautiful; very light and airy, Florida-style. The service was friendly and efficient both at the bar before the meal and at the table with our waiter from Louisiana. But it was the food above all that rocked. As good as any you will find in the area and we know from years of experience. This restaurant is equal to any ... The one criticism we had was that on the night of our maiden visit, there was an extremely loud singer/band on the outdoor patio.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a vue!!There are many good restaurants littered along 30a, but very few sit right on the beach side as does the Vue. Along with the phenomenal view of the sunset over the water, the food and service were perfect compliments. The Lobster Trio was our favorite appetizer. Everything was delicious!
A great view and delicious food would be good enough. But the service at the Vue was impeccable. Relaxed, crisp, efficient and appropriately attentive, yet unobtrusive. We enjoyed their honest assessment of the warbling of the "entertainment" on the patio--that "entertainment" was the only downside to an outstanding evening.

A friend recommended the Vue, which I had not heard of. We sat out on the terrace, which gave us a beautiful ocean view. The staff couldn't have been more courteous. The food was incredible. I tried one of my daughter's scallops, and it may be the best scallop I have ever eaten. I had the steak special of the evening. I can't recall the cut, but it was large, cooked properly, tasted great, but too much. I couldn't finish it. The Vue is a great find. They were very accommodating. Good service. I had the scallops and my wife the pistachio encrusted grouper. Both were excellent. With soup, 2 entree's and 1 glass if wine, tab was just over $100 with tip. A little pricey, but worth it for the view alone. I had oyster benedict with only three fried oysters....which was a bit of a disappointment but the dish was very tasty. The ambience, service, and food were amazing. Both my husband and I had steak and they were cooked to perfection, served over mashed potatoes, but started with a goat cheese salad. Of corse, we couldn't skip desert so we ended our meal with the key lime pie....it was unbelievable. I travel for business and steakhouses are standard fare for dinner. Most do not compare with what was served at Vue.
The only thing I found odd, and trust me, it won't keep me from eating there again, was the amount of bread served. We were given blueberry muffins for a starter, then the Benedict came on biscuits as expected, but it was served with a side of toast. A side of fruit would seem more fitting. Again, I will absolutely continue to eat here. My husband ordered the seafood omelet and practically licked the plate clean.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOMEVery simple.....a totally AWESOME experience. Have been to several mediocre and generally overpriced restaurants in the Sandestin, Santa Rosa, Watercolor area. Stumbled upon Vue 30 by sheer luck (Opentable). Brooke the manager and the entire staff made this a memorable evening for the wife and I. And of course, the Gulf view is spectacular. Much more of a local atmosphere instead of touristy, which was a huge plus for us.

The staff was very mindful and aware of our special moment and gave us the privacy that we needed. We look forward to returning to Santa Rosa and the Vue to celebrate our engagement. Had the fruits de mer and the pistachio grouper and both were excellent. The view can't be beat and the bar/restaurant had a modern vibe with live music. I was worried it would be stuffy or old based on some other reviews and that wasn't the case at all. The ambiance is outstanding. We have eaten up and down 30A as well as Destin and I will say Vue is one of the best. 5 star food and dining for a reasonable price that the everday person can afford at any time.
I picked this restaurant for my 40th B-day dinner and I WILL BE BACK and CANT WAIT!

The beach view at sunset is great, and there are few fine dining restaurants on the beach in this area ... this is the one with a "Vue"! We were able to get a reservation one day ahead, even during "spring break", and when we arrived the restaurant seemed full, but we were seated immediately, and at a requested window-side table.
