"The absolute slowest service I have ever experienced. Luckily we were not in a hurry because we were there for about 3 hours for dinner. My ahi salad was generous, but just ok. Apple tart desert was just ok. Will probably not go back."

"I had a great breakfast at Vu with 2 clients. I had an omelet that was fantastic. The ingredients all seemed very fresh. One of my clients had pancakes with blueberries inside and he raved. My other client had pancakes, eggs, and sausage. He said the pancakes were among the best he's had and that the sausage was quite tasty. The service was friendly and nice. I can't wait to go back."

"Valentine's day first visit. No problem with on-line reservation 2-days before. Nice view out windows across marina. High ceiling, low noise.Causal dress. Service knowledgeable and friendly but wait-person had a couple of tables too many. Good distance between tables. Easy non-valet parking. Food delightful, more than basic, less than cutting edge. Broiled artichoke very tasty. Sashimi not too fishy. Alaskan cod excellent taste and texture. Chocolate/expresso cake desert memorable.Specialty cocktails cute, $12. Will return but won't be regular."

"Dined at VU restaurant on a beautiful clear day in the Marina. As the name would suggest, the view from the restaurant of the beach and marina are fantastic. I had a delicious hamburger topped with cheddar cheese served with thin crispy fries that were amazing. My companion had the VU Salad topped with seared ahi. The salad featured interesting ingredients like nuts and dried blueberries that she really enjoyed. She said the ahi was of top quality and perfectly prepared. The service was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I will definitely return. The outside patio has amazing views and I look forward to eating out there when the weather gets a little bit warmer."

"What a pleasant surprise, Vu was! I found it through Dine LA and had their three-course menu special. The food was delicious (and good-sized portions!), the ambiance was great (we sat outside overlooking the water), and the service was amazing! Everyone from our waiter, to the manager to the server was so friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely go back! The interior was beautiful and modern too. It'd be a great place to have happy hour - great bar set-up. And to top it off, the parking was simple and free! Who'd've expected that in Marina Del Rey?"

"Food was beyond expectations, absolutely wonderful. We were worried when we realized it was a hotel restaurant, but the chef really came through. The manager is planning to revamp the menu but we told him to keep the dishes we had. We'll definitely go back."

"Mixed drinks were amazing! Bartender knew what was good. Drunken Goose is a drink you will not be disappointed with. Wow! Trout and burger dishes were delicious! We weren't expecting such a great experience. Food, drinks, ambiance, knowledgable staff. All made a great experience. Thanks Vu! Would have never noticed you from the aight out front though."

"We were told that they're "between chefs" right now. Service was awkward, food was medicore. It felt like an overly-corporate-designed hotel restaurant. We had heard great things, but apparently that was only praise for the previous chef. Very disappointed."
