Diner Reviews
  • "The Las Vegas view is outstanding. Food is ok, but expensive. Service is done by old amateurs, with absolute no intention of providing a descent experence."

  • "We were in Vegas visiting recently and decided on the VooDoo Steakhouse for our anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food and the views and the wonderful wait staff immensely! Definitely get the Witchdoctor 2 person drink when you go! It's a fun experience and delicious cocktail! And we returned late in the night to the rooftop night club which was also very fun and had great views and vibes! Can't say enough good things about our experience here! It was a truly unforgettable experience that we would recommend to anyone!"

  • "I reserved a table for a late night business dinner. The restaurant's located directly below the night club and we were seated near the stairs leading up to it. Although the view was spectacular, the noise from the club made it very hard for us to hear one another. This may not be a problem earlier in the evening, but it was quite annoying and in my opinion, unavoidable regardless of where one was seated. The food itself was okay and my steak was a bit fatty, a little undercooked, and only warm upon arrival at the table. If I weren't with clients, I would've sent it back. The sides were plentiful but again, only average in taste. I might give VooDoo another try in the future, but only around "normal" dinner hour."

  • "Food is a little on the pricey side for our taste, but the view around sunset is certainly spectacular. Had the 12oz Filet which was cooked as asked, with the truffle mac and cheese (each side is $8). The side was huge, but I would have preferred have two smaller sides. Nice that they offer a 20 or 25% discount if you have tickets to one of the show as the Rio."

  • "12 oz. filet ordered medium rare, arrived well done and tough as a boot. Time constraints prohibited waiting for another one. Very disappointing."

  • "We chose this restaurant before going to see Penn & Teller in the same hotel. We'd never even been inside Rio before, and with good reason. It's off the strip and not convienient to either Downtown Vegas or typical strip hotels and activities. The food was good, not great, the view was good, not great. I've had better food and views at the Stratosphere for about the same price (possibly less). If you're going to be at Rio for a show, it's not a bad place to eat, but there are many better options."

  • "We enjoyed tremendous service, great food, and a fantastic view of Las Vegas."

  • "steaks were outsatanding and the view cannot be beat. we were there early and the service was great. wine list good and prices are reasonable. great place for touriste to view the city from 50 stories high. if you are not into steaks, other options are available . prices are competative to other quality steak houses."

  • "The view is great, the service was good but the food was bland and left a lot to be desired. Ran into a few others who had the same response."

  • "I met my Daughter who was in from back east. We had a great time and enjoyed the whole evening. We were not pressured to leave before we were ready, which was wonderful! HIGHLY Recommend."

  • "Our server John was the shining gem to this wonderful meal. The food was great.. When we get the chance to go back we will make this a must do on our trip plus make sure John is our waiter... If you can request him, do he is extremely helpful and funny. I don't normally do reviews but thought because of John I would give it a go."

  • "Dissapointed. Requested a window seat for 10th Anniversary. Request denied. Vacant seats everywhere in restaurant by the windows. For the massive bill would have been worth it if this simple request had been met. Won't be back"

  • "The view from the restaurant is truly beautiful. Even better when you get a table at the window. Service was just ok. I don't think I saw our waiter after our order was taken until he brought our check. The bus people seem to be the better at providing service."

  • "After making a reservation.....got seated the staff was real quick to get a drink.....not wanting any booze yet they didn't want to wait on us anymore.....after waiting 20 mins for the menu....then 15 min again to order....the food finally came out......the ribeye was terrible....not cooked to order tuff and stringey.....i asked for the manager and refused to pay for this meal.....never to return"

  • "We dined here on our recent trip to Vegas after it was recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. Beginning with the awesome view, and followed by an equally awesome waiter (Jose), we were waiting for something to follow that might be a bit disappointing (as many referrals can be). The disappointment never happened! Jose recommended that I try another dish when I asked about the veal, saying that I may well be disappointed by the entrée. He approved highly of my second choice (a scallop dish), and he was absolutely correct. After traveling 6 hours from the coast of VA, I found the best scallops I have ever eaten in the middle of desert (go figure)!"

  • "We had reservations at 7:30. The service did not take our drink order till 20 mins after we sat down. Waited 15 mins for our drinks. Then did not return to take our order for another 15 mins . We did not get our food till 9:15 and 2 of our 4 meals were prepared incorrectly . The steak was supposed to be M/W and it was M/R and the lamb was supposed to be Med and it was well done. We asked the waiter to send a manger over . After waiting another 10mins and no one came we got up and found on our selfs . The manager said no one asked him to come over. Our total dinner bill for 4 people was over $400 . I recommend you take your money to any other Resturant in Las Vegas. Do not go unless you like to wait, bad service and over pay for wrong food."

  • "My third visit and was highly disappointed. 8:30PM reservation, seated about 9:30PM. The wait for our meals was very long and when it arrived was not hot, barely lukewarm. The prices are very high, but I am willing to pay since I don't visit Las Vegas that often. I do expect to be seated withing 15 minutes of my reservation time, be served my meal in a timely manner and my meal to be hot. I suspect it was sitting in the kitchen for a while, since it took so long to arrive."

  • "very expensive ( overpriced ) birthday celebration. We went expecting a great experience and left very disappointed by the overall quality and pricicing of the food. Just to mention two items creamed spinach & ceasar salad. The creamed spinach was probably the worst I've ever eaten and the ceasar salad I'd rate as a 1 on a 10 scale and all of us at the trable said we should have gone to Monterano's, ( also in the Rio Hotel ) for the best ceasar salad in Las Vegas. We're Las Vegas locals."

  • "Billy, our server, was incredible as he helped guide us through what would be one of the best dining experiences of our lives. The appetizers and entrees were cooked to perfection. Did I mention the view yet?"

  • "Overall, pretty disappointed in the food. Salmon was very bland; my friend's steak was average, at best. The service was very good, however, and you have a great view of the city. All in all, seemed overpriced for what we got (even factoring in the "Vegas" cost basis)"

  • "The Voodoo restaurant affords a unique combination of attentive service, quality drinks, delicious food options and a romantic atmosphere that is difficult to top. A visit to the observation deck results in a magnificent Vegas view which is best described as a "Wow"! If you want to impress...this is the place!!"

  • "I was in Las Vegas celebrating my wedding anniversary and we decided to eat at Voodo before going to see Penn and Teller. The food was bland and needed some type of spice. The steak was dry and overcooked. The servers were almost non existent. I had to flag down someone to get a refill on my drink. For the food quality and service, it was completely overpriced. The only good thing I could say is that the view was amazing; a panoramic view of the sunset over Las Vegas. We will not be returning to Voodo and would not recommend it to anyone."

  • "I love everything about this restaurant...the views, the service, the romantic atmosphere. However, I have eaten better cuts of steak at other steak houses. I just felt that my filet wasn't very flavorful. With that said, I love the restaurant and will eat there again"

  • "The view is amazing and we so appreciated the offer by our waiter to step onto the patio for a better look while waiting for our appetizer. He came out to the patio to let us know when it arrived. We enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip. It was plentiful and delicicious. My husband choose the house salad and I had the Caesar - both large and tasty. I ordered the braised veal and my husband had the sea bass. I think his meal was better but just by a bit. Both were prepared excellently and the creme brûlée topped it off perfectly."

  • "This restaurant has a great view of the strip, food is very good, although sides are al a carte. Great atmosphere - nice wine list. I would recommend this restaurant if you don't mind spending a little more for dinner - great for anniversary dinner or special celebration. Nice friendly staff!"

  • "This was my third time eating at the Voodoo and yet again you guys exceeded my expectations! I will never visit Las Vegas with out stopping by for another great meal!"

  • "The views were outstanding and the overall ambiance was great. Unfortunately our service was not good. The waiter got one order wrong and it took a very long time to get him to come back to correct it. It was corrected but took awhile. We received more attention from the bus service than the waiter. Our seating section was also very cold and when we asked about it we were told everyone else in the restaurant was fine! Quality of the food was very good."

  • "Overall everything was great. I made a reservation ahead of time and when I arrived there was no reservation, they couldn't find it."

  • "The view is spectacular from this restaurant. I wouldn't be very happy if I didn't have window seat though. The waiter did not smile once but repeated his name at least 4 times to us. Who cares. Then a photographer with a very high pitched voice came up to our table and "told us" she was taking our picture. Caught us off-guard so let her take it. We laughed it off but when paying over $100.00 per person for a fairly average meal, this was very tacky. We would not go back to this restaurant again."

  • "Had reservations for Sunday after Valentine's Day (wanted full menu vs. limited menu on Valentine's Day). Staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. The view from the 50th floor was spectacular (one of the reasons want to eat there). Food was pricey but worth it. You are paying for atmosphere and the spectacular view of the strip. Took time to step out on the outside lounge and enjoyed the view. ."

  • "Went here expecting great things and was let down. Asked for a window seat but was told that was only for their "players" even though there were empty window seats. The food was mediocre at best. Onion soup tasted like dishwater. The steak was tough and chewy. With so many better steakhouses I would avoid this one."
