  • The BEST, Ask for "Anthony"

It was fabulous we arrived at around 6:15 and then were able to get a window seat. We watched the Sunset before dinner and then after dinner when the lights on the STRIP came on we took pictures and had a drink or two while sitting on the outside couches. Anthony was the "BEST" and most attentive and knowledgeable waiter I have ever had. Ask for "ANTHONY", he will not disappoint.

Sexy set up. Great menu. Courteous staff. Wine was marked up as per Vegas likes to do. My steak was overlooked and lobster was previously frozen. Mashed potatoes tasted processed and premade. Asparagus was excellent. Enjoyed the bread selection. The Truffle macaroni was good but not great. For fine dining I was a little disappointed, but I'd try it again for sure.

We go to Vegas every year & always eat at Voodoo. I have never had bad service or food. The steaks are always cook to perfection, I like my steaks med rare & they are never over cooked. My wife had the lobster & it was also prefect. The lobster bisque is some of the best I have had. If you are a wine drinker you wont have a problem getting a good bottle of wine. I would recommend Voodoo Steakhouse to anyone!!!

My expectations were high. The results were horrid. Slow service very inattentive almost forgetful. The view was awesome and the seafood plater was great. Was hopi g for more of the same but the wheels fell off the bus after this. The seafood pasta was bland, seafood was overcooked and rubbery. The past was clumpy and the taste was bland. My wife had the scallops which were way over cooked and like chewing on rubber. Must've been a new chef. I wouldn't recommend doing the place bUT I may give it another try next time I'm in Vegas. Everyone can have am off night. But for $200 it shouldn't happen again.

Husband and I shared the beefsteak tomato app, Caesar salad and lamb loin wrapped in prosciutto. No sharing charge. Everything was prepared perfectly. Menu has been streamlined with basic items. Enjoyed the outdoor patio and the zipline adventure while finishing our wine.

I ordered the prime 14 oz. NY strip steak. It was the best strip I have eaten. It was flavorful, tender and lean. I ordered it rare, so it will change as it is cooked more. The steak cost $58. It was my birthday and the waiter surprised me with a decadent slice of chocolate cake. It was a pleasant surprise, as I would not have ordered it on my own. Menu items are ale carte, so be prepared to pay for the excellent dinner.

The view from the top of the Rio sets this place apart. Enjoyed walking up on the roof before and after dinner. Zip line is amazing! Food is very good, but a bit overpriced -- about $90 pp in our case, without alcohol. We all had the filet, which was cooked to order and very tender and tasty. We do not recommend the desserts...at least the overly rich, somewhat dry carrot cake. Aside from the view, the ambiance was just ok. A large noisy group was at the table next to us and we could not have a conversation without yelling.

    Dined on 9/8/2014
The view is breathtaking, especially if you are there as the sun sets. The food is very good, but everything seemed to be priced about 25%-30% more than what I would expect for a meal of the same quality elsewhere. If you are splurging, or visiting the city for the first time and want the view, or are going to see Penn & Teller, it's an excellent option. But reconcile yourself to the sticker shock before you go. And bring your camera.

The decor had reached it's peek and we were not fortunate enough to be seated on the side of the room that offered the view of the strip but rather the beam that supported the roof; even though the room was semi empty. The menu is very pricey but the staff try to make up for the owners opportunity to charge more for the view. I would not visit during the day as the room shows its age but would suggest you visit at night because it is a prime spot to see all of the strip lights. The staff makes this dining experience and provided my wife a birthday slice of cake at the end to make up for what could have been a disappointing evening. We are grateful to the staff.

  • My new go to steakhouse in Vegas...
    MrSaturdayNight
    Dined on 8/30/2014
My usual "go to" steakhouse in Vegas was the Steakhouse at Bally's. Since it's closure, I opted to try the VooDoo Steakhouse at the Rio (where I was staying). It took one time for me to be hooked, and this steakhouse will be on my agenda every time I am in Vegas. The land/sea combo is spectacular all the way around. A great filet, a huge lobster tail, at the best price in Vegas. The foi gras was superb, as was the steak tartare. A great wine list to boot. The service was second to none, and I was able to establish a great rapport with one of the servers. Now, after dinner, get a cordial and head out for one of the best views on the strip.

Not impressed. Our group of 10 requested a scenic view and got a long table at the entranceway. With little view, bad service and mediocre food. Our group in general was very disappointed. Manager on duty was accomodating and took a few late arriving entrees off our bill and further reduced the bill by 20%

This was our third or fourth visit to Voo Doo. We have always had a good meal there, and the view is fabulous! Our waiter, Tony, was the best we had in our week in Las Vegas. When we had to contact him to get our bill, so we could make our show date, he offered a discount on our meal because we had to find him instead of him coming to us. That is good service. A good waiter makes a restaurant experience--even if the food is only average. Of course, our meal was not average, it was quite good. We will go again to Voo Doo the next time in Las Vegas.

Went on a Thursday for dinner. Very few people in the place so nice and quiet. We sat right on the glass and had a great view of the Strip. The food was very good. The steak was very nice. The kitchen accomodated our vegan friend and created something just for him. The waitstaff was excellant and so was the hostess. They made for a very enjoyable meal.

The food is excellent, the view magnificent, and the value for the meal is far better than what can be had on the strip. We had the same exact meal on the strip and the Eiffel Tower and paid 125% more for the same meal and less service. The view from the Voodoo can't be beat and the service was exceptional. We have been to Vegas over 100 times and have eaten at most of the fine dining restaurants on the strip which have now become all too pricey for most people. The Voodoo lounge is a nice alternative to the strip with quality service, pricing, and romantic views. Bravo

Steak , view and service were great. However they changed their drink menu and it's not that good anymore. Also it's annoying to have people walk by to go to the zip line while you are in a steak house. They need to keep people from out of the restaurant area.

Very unique in that you don't dine at the 2nd floor mall entrance like the other restaurants. You are taken by elevator to the 40th floor where you then get a view of the city and mountains. Food quality was very good, service happened to be excellent. Don't forget to take a walk out on the patio area where they have couches, a Zip line (which you can do while waiting for your food), and an outside stairway to the night club on the next floor up.

I took a date for her birthday and had no problem booking a table (fact that it was on a Monday I'm sure helped). Get a great view of the strip on the way up the elevator to the 51st floor where the restaurant is located. The moment we sat down, we had a server bring us water and bread. Our waiter Cristian was amazing. I put a note on the OpenTable reservation that it was a birthday dinner and they got the message! I ordered the rib-eye steak and it was cooked perfectly. My date had salmon and did not complain about it. Mac & cheese could have been better. Cristian made my date's birthday dinner more special by bringing out champagne and a slice of birthday carrot cake; both were delicious. Great service and food!

Our dinner items were great. 20 Ounce Ribeye was cooked perfectly and my wife's 10 oz Hangar Filet was "awesome" according to her words. We would recommend a later evening dinner so that you can see the view from the strip with the lights on as we were there early evening and the view was not as exciting as it could have been.
