Diner Reviews
  • "The food is excellent, the view magnificent, and the value for the meal is far better than what can be had on the strip. We had the same exact meal on the strip and the Eiffel Tower and paid 125% more for the same meal and less service. The view from the Voodoo can't be beat and the service was exceptional. We have been to Vegas over 100 times and have eaten at most of the fine dining restaurants on the strip which have now become all too pricey for most people. The Voodoo lounge is a nice alternative to the strip with quality service, pricing, and romantic views. Bravo"

  • "Steak , view and service were great. However they changed their drink menu and it's not that good anymore. Also it's annoying to have people walk by to go to the zip line while you are in a steak house. They need to keep people from out of the restaurant area."

  • "Very unique in that you don't dine at the 2nd floor mall entrance like the other restaurants. You are taken by elevator to the 40th floor where you then get a view of the city and mountains. Food quality was very good, service happened to be excellent. Don't forget to take a walk out on the patio area where they have couches, a Zip line (which you can do while waiting for your food), and an outside stairway to the night club on the next floor up."

  • "Pricy, great view, ok food. Pedestrian wine list, unless you consider something industrial like Silver Oak a great wine. Much b Etter experience at Hugos."

  • "I took a date for her birthday and had no problem booking a table (fact that it was on a Monday I'm sure helped). Get a great view of the strip on the way up the elevator to the 51st floor where the restaurant is located. The moment we sat down, we had a server bring us water and bread. Our waiter Cristian was amazing. I put a note on the OpenTable reservation that it was a birthday dinner and they got the message! I ordered the rib-eye steak and it was cooked perfectly. My date had salmon and did not complain about it. Mac & cheese could have been better. Cristian made my date's birthday dinner more special by bringing out champagne and a slice of birthday carrot cake; both were delicious. Great service and food!"

  • "In all the times I've stayed at Rio, I can't believe this was my first time dining here! Anthony was amazing giving and recommending such good eats and drinks! For my friend and I we spent about 250 total for a bottle of wine, great appetizers, and excellent entrees. Definitely coming back here!"

  • "We had a horrible experience. The front desk girls were rude and our waiter was rude. After talking to the manager, our waiter all of a suddenly was friendly. I wish i had it in my not to tip, but we left a $10 tip on a $100 bill-if you ask me he didn't deserve one cent."

  • "Went here based on reviews from Trip Advisor and we were also going to see Penn & Tellar at the same hotel. The ribeye I had was as good as it gets and Judy;s salmon was fine. Tony our waiter was terrific but the Matre'de was never present other then just walking around staring out the window at the zip line."

  • "Our server David was a little late to our table upon arrival, but was attentive after first visit. The pork belly appetizer was amazing. Our dinner items were great. 20 Ounce Ribeye was cooked perfectly and my wife's 10 oz Hangar Filet was "awesome" according to her words. We would recommend a later evening dinner so that you can see the view from the strip with the lights on as we were there early evening and the view was not as exciting as it could have been."

  • "This restaurant is a great find. Located on the 50th floor of the Rio, it boasts an awesome view, great food, and attentive service. I would recommend this spot for a special night out to dinner. Although pricy, the food was well worth the cost! I've already been raving about it to family and friends."

  • "My boyfriend and I ended our 4 day Vegas trip with a nice late-night, Sunday dinner here. He had the flat iron steak, and I had the menage trois, which included lobster, steak, and shrimp with a mashed potato side. We shared a side of asparagus. The view was beautiful, and the outdoor lounge is worth a trip in itself. Our server, Armand, was very attentive and kind. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Overheard the table next to us complaining it was "the worst thing she ever tasted", which was appalling to me - ours was amazing and we had nothing but wonderful things to say. We will definitely be returning!! We ate at 10pm on a Sunday, which is late, but not for Vegas. Only 3 other tables, so it was quiet. Not an issue for us though :)"

  • "We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday at this restaurant on the 5th of July. The food was outstanding and we can't wait to come back to Las Vegas to eat here again. After dinner we enjoyed the outside lounge and loved the views of the strip. We were talked about the food for our whole trip after we ate there."

  • "Very dissapointed..I went to celebrate my anniversary. The bar was so loud it was difficult to hear. One of our guests meals was undercooked and the service at the end of the meal was not good."

  • "The best thing about the meal was the amazing views from the 50th floor of the Rio. The food and service were both very good. Prices are what you would expect at most Las Vegas steakhouses. Be sure to enjoy the outdoor patio before or after dining. Amazing views and you can zip line over the next tower for a fee."

  • "Celebrated our 41st anniversary at VooDoo Steakhouse. Amazing view, awesome food, drinks and staff. Our waiter Anthony went to great lengths to make sure our night was perfect. The duck pate, sea bass and chicken were cooked beautifully. Desserts were wonderful. After our leisurely, delightful dinner we went out on the deck to see the lights of the city. Perfect!"

  • "What else can I saw but amazing. I took my wife to this fabulous resturant and it was incredible. Would have to give it 5 stars. I will be back every opertunity I get. Thanks for the great food, outstanding service, and a scenic view that is hard to beat."

  • "The restaurant has a gorgeous view of Las Vegas, but that is about all I can say. The food was not good at all. We ordered a couple of cocktails, oysters, salmon, scallops, and a side of broccoli. All of the seafood was overwhelmingly fishy, and the side of broccoli still seemed raw. The cocktails and service was fine, but we only had a couple of bites of the entree so unfortunately we paid for an expensive dinner that was hardly touched."

  • "The view of the strip from the terrace in this place is simply amazing. The food was good; my gf had a New York T-bone steak which was delicious and I had a salmon which unfortunately was overcooked. I wont give this place a higher rating because I asked for a table with a view if possible in my reservation. I know the hostess saw this, since she read the reservation details once we arrived and congratulated my girlfriend for her birthday (I also mentioned that in the reservation). The place was far away from half full and there were many tables with good view available, however she gave us a table far away from the window and right in the entrance where the strip can't be seen. I know she could have done better and help a newbie out."

  • "Ordered the filet mignon medium. It arrived very well done tasteless and tuff. My wife ordered the flat iron steak medium rare and it also arrived very well done. This was a very disappointing experience on an evening that was supposed to be a special 24th anniversary for my wife and I and it was our guests birthday to boot. Would not set foot in this restaurant ever again!"

  • "I was not happy that I has viewed the menu on line just days before our dinner, only to find out that they has a price increase and not just a small one my steak that was $40 was increased to $55. That is a very large increase and since I was buying dinner for 6 people that increased by bill more than I thought the food was worth. When I ask for a table with a view they said or they all have view well they don't. They also do nothing to accommodate children and they didn't seem to happy to see that we had one with us I think that is why we didn't get the table I wanted."

  • "We were very pleased with both the food and atmosphere at the VooDoo Steakhouse. The most pleasant surprise was the outstanding service by our waiter! We were there to have a celebratory dinner for two recent college graduates, and when the reservation was made through Open Table, we had asked if it was possible to have a "special" dessert decorated for them also! We were so appreciative of not only the chocolate cake that he served to us, but he also comped celebratory champagne for our family and told us he knew how special it was to have them graduate since he was putting two kids through college also! We really appreciated the extra effort shown by him and enjoyed the atmosphere-especially fun was the view of the zip-line outside!"

  • "We went to Voodoo Steakhouse for the start of my now sister-in-law's bachelorette party. I am very impressed with the restaurant. The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend the Filet Mignon! Best filet I have tasted, and the Truffle Mac and Cheese is a must have!! One of the main reasons that we chose this place was the Witch Doctor drinks. Dang! We each got one (instead of sharing like most people do), I do not recommend it! The drink is heaven but with all the food you eat, it is nearly impossible to finish. They also let us go out on the balcony while we waited for our food to arrive. Overall I am very happy with the experience and it was a great way to start off our bachelorette party!"

  • "Have been to voodoo a number of times and food was excellant. Five of us all ordered steaks. Three ordered rib eyes and all were tough. A fifty dollar steak should be tender. Disappointment. Took one off the check, but will think twice about returning."

  • "We dined at Voodoo Steakhouse last week. We had gotten a few recommendations from people who had dined there in the past and raved about the view and the food. Our service was great, the food however left a lot to be desired. When dining at a steakhouse, where the steaks are $50-$60, I expect a filet to be so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. My filet was not very tender, and even though I ordered it medium rare, it came out medium to almost medium well. My husband ordered the Prime NY Strip. His steak was so tough- he sent it back. Our server was very apologetic but, in my opinion, you should not have to send back a stead at a restaurant like that. We were disappointed and would not recommend Voodoo Steakhouse. "

  • "The Lobster Bisque is the best I have ever had. The steaks and seafood are also quite good. Go around sunset so you can get a view of the strip in daylight before your meal and the lights afterwards. There is also now a zip line if you are adventurous. "
