    For a wedding reception, social affair or corporate event, we offer the possibility of exclusive use of the restaurant. We can accommodate up to 70 guests for a seated dinner and 175 guests for a cocktail reception and provide the full attention of our entire staff.

A word from VOLT
VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. “The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques.” said Voltaggio. VOLT’s relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color pallet that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.Continued

We have never had so many people waiting on us. The only downside is the cost. I am sure it rivals DC and New York in quality, but it is certainly the most expensive meal we have ever had. As wonderful as it was, dinner at Volt will have to be relegated to a once a year event. We would like to try the Sunday brunch which friends have told us is terrific....and a far more economical way to enjoy Volt's delicious food."

  • "Another fantastic trip to Volt. My wife and I tried the 2 different 6-course tasting menus with wine pairings. There was lots of sharing and everything was superb. I ordered the protein based courses while she ordered the nuts and berries themed dishes. I started out certain that she made a major tactical error and I was prepared to gloat, but every course served was tasty. The dishes were satisfying yet left one eager to reach the next selection. The wine pairings: While we both thought the selections worked very well, this is my only negative comment; the somm (or sometimes the server) merely poured the wine and read the label. I can do that - I wanted to know why each wine was selected. The service was very attentive, but a little rushed"

  • "The meat and vegetables were of so-so quality and the attempts to infuse new and creative flavors failed for most dishes. The setting and furnishings were quite bland as well. The service was the only aspect which came close to measure up to fine dining standards. I had the tasting menu and five of the six items on the menu were the same offerings on the a la carte menu, with three of the items being tasteless seafood dishes. It seemed to us that the chef was trying to get rid of kitchen food items that would probably go bad soon. The tasting menu should have featured the best a la carte dishes or entirely new items not on the a la carte menu. The entire experience, minus the service, was very disappointing."

They were attentive without being overly so. The food was interesting and beautiful, and tasted exceptional. The win pairings were perfect. Utensils were changed between each course. There were some interesting pieces as well. A surprise before dinner, after dinner and to take home were presented and just added to the experience. Water glasses were never empty. No detail was too small or overlooked."

  • "The food and ambiance were lovely. The problem arose from the menu itself. To have a tasting menu that leaves you wanting to go next door for a pizza afterward is unfortunate. The food was delicious but to walk out after spending close to $500 on a dinner for two to have only tasted food, to have order one round of mixed drinks, and to have a wine pairing with dinner, left us wanting. Ultimately I have eaten at comparable, if not better, restaurants for half the price."

  • "We got to Volt at 6:30 and they sent us to the bar. We ordered drinks and did not even get them when the hostess asked us to go to the table. We no sooner got our drinks and they started the food and wine pairing at about 6:40. The first 5 courses came out so fast that we just barely finished the previous course and the next one was coming. This was supposed to be a romantic special evening and I was a little disappointed considering it was $150 + $90 more for each of us for the dinner and wine pairing. If it had been paced out like it should have been over 3 hours this would have been a fantastic experience."

  • "We are so glad we did: the staff was gracious and accommodating. We sat in the kitchen view area, the staff was well informed, welcoming, and skilled. The food we ordered, from the prix fixe menu, gave us both something we liked at a good price, especially considering the level we were expecting. The room is sparse, but clean, well appointed, and welcoming. They even sat us on the same side of the table since I had mentioned we wanted to have a view of the kitchen: this is something small and easy to do but is often overlooked. The food was amazing especially for a brunch. The menu was varied and broad, and while I dont keep track of what I ordered, ever, my daughter could recite the menu chapter and verse she liked the options so much."

  • "I wanted to go someplace memorable and special for our 20th Anniversary. VOLT fit the bill. I am not a foodie and I am normally anti-fancy restaurant. Food taste is what matters to me, not ambiance or presentation. The food was delicious and despite the small portions, I struggled to finish the food. By the time they brought out the third dessert selection, I said "No mas!" Highly recommend for special occasions and doing something different. The biggest surprise was you made me like liver. I may not be able to forgive you for that."

The decor is modest and practical not opulent, a tremendous asset. The service and attention to detail is impeccable. Each of the servers and all of the staff were courteous, friendly and equally attentive. A+ quality and service. The food and menu are exquisitely direct and leave little to question except the execution which was impeccable at every turn. The bar and lounge, visited shortly before seating looks to be a delight for a midday or early evening cocktail and is also well kept with a superior quality of service and attentiveness.   • "They try too hard to appeal to foodies by preparing odd combinations that don't work. The squid ink drenched small pasta shells looked and tasted like deer scat. Several courses of food started interesting but got tired before finishing and/or had at least one surprisingly bad bite (airy green eyeball and apple jelly chew). Grapefruit & tequila cocktail was weak and forgettable. Butter was great there as always. Hallibut and pork belly courses were yummy. Sazerac drink is pure excellence."
