  • "We always love Volare whether for drinks at the bar and music from Robbie Bartlett ( love Robbie),appetizers and cocktails before a late night desert or for dinner. Volare has become our new favorite restaurant in Louisville. And the choices in Louisville are many. The combination of ingredients (pun intended) of this wonderful spot is perfect. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome and your business is appreciated. The quality of the atmosphere is top notch. Side note wine is always half price at the bar. Brilliant!!!. We ordered the special filet mignon and best description would be HEAVEN. If your evening involves a special occasion or just a casual dinner with friends, you cannot make a better choice than Volare."

  • "I have been dying to eat here and was very disappointed. I ordered The LINGUINI FRUTTI DI MARE and thought the dish was very bland and the scallops, sea bass and salmon were all over cooked. Our waitress was nice, but we were entertaining clients from out of town and she constantly interrupted. She didn’t provide recommendations and didn’t really enhance our dining experience. They have a great selection of wines and a great happy hour."

  • "This was my first visit to Volare and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious, and the service was attentive, but our server was new (had worked there only a few months) and was unfamiliar with most of the dishes. She said the restaurant only gives a 50% discount to employees for vegetarian or chicken dishes, so she hadn't wanted to pay full price for any of the seafood- or meat-based entrees or appetizers. Regardless, we loved the food - the scallops appetizer was the best dish I've ever had with scallops, and the homemade ravioli was outstanding. We also love the lasagna and the cheesecake for dessert."

  • "This was our 2nd visit. 1st-in bar area, Fri night singer, amazing food and service. 2nd-Sat evening at peak dinner time and the place was packed, but still great. A few points we noted after dinner was how long everything took and our food was a bit dry/overcooked. Outstanding wait staff and after our martinis we weren't really caring about wait when they apologized about it upon serving our food. Don't miss the scallop appetizer, hands down great. Salads are fresh and use different greens. My husband had duck, I had sea bass, both had good flavor, just sat a bit too long under heat lamp. I try not to go to restaurants at peak times, since I seem to experience similar rushed/overwhelmed service. Worth going back."

  • "It should be yours, too. Excellent food, good service, a pleasant atmosphere - Volare really achieves what people look for in a dining experience. Since we dine here about once a month, calling out one specific dish would hot be fair - the fish is excellent, the steak is excellent, the salads are delcious - you can choose what you think you'd like without worries that it might not be the best."

  • "I made a reservation about 5 days before our March visit. We were given a table outside in a tent. It was very hot, crowded, and we were outside in a tent! I did manage to talk them into giving us a table inside...in the back room. While I wasn't impressed with this atmosphere, it was 100 times better than the tent outside. While the food was pretty good, it really wasn't great by any means. I got the Frutti Del Mar, which is a sea food dish in a spicy tomato sauce. The linguini was under cooked, even for al dente. There wasn't actually much sea food for $26. I had one over cooked shrimp. I've had better many times at other restaurants. We didn't really have a bad time, but for $400 for 4 people, I wanted a great time....didn't happen."

  • "I love this place. The food, the wine, the service. All fantastic! My only complaint is the background noise is way too loud! They offer live music, but then folks try to talk over it, and the acoustics are so bad that my date and I had trouble hearing each other talk and we were sitting right beside each other. That's too loud. I came to a restaurant to enjoy my guest. I would suggest eliminating live music or altering the acoustics to help reduce background noise. Issac did a great job helping me preselect a bottle of wine for dinner. He had it decanted and waiting at the table when we got there and it paired so well with the food. I did not know before that evening but every Wednesday night is 1/2 price wine night. YEAH!"

The only thing that disappointment my family and me was that the entrée portions have been reduced even on inexpensive entree's for young adults... However, the food was good, the service superb, and the ambiance tough to beat.. Great job."

  • "Having lived in the area for 19 years, I am amazed that we had never been to Volare previously. We will definitely return. Everything was excellent. Our service (Mark) was outstanding. The salads, entrees and desserts were all tremendous. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. I had the Veal Saltimbocca and would rank it up there with any Italian dish I've had anywhere. My wife had Risotto with sausage - she loved it. The salads were great and the Tiramisu was killer. Cannot recommend this place highly enough."

Traveling in the Louisville area this Italian fine dining restaurant will be our "go to" dining spot in the future. I cannot say enough about the service, the ambiance and especially the food. I had the best steak, a special of the night, I can remember and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her pasta dish. Best Bruscetta we have ever tasted."

  • "We shared the delicious scallop appetizer, and 2 bottles of wine. I had the eggplant & ricotta appetizer rolls for dinner and there were 3 which were very filling and wonderful! My husband had the pasta special with artichoke, asparagus, spinach and I think it was shrimp, but he couldn't eat it all and said it was great. The other 2 shared too, but I can't remember what they had and they said it was very good too. Then, we got the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream that was served in 3 bite-sized pieces and of course, you can never go wrong with chocolate!"

  • "Food was fantastic but service was very slow. Granted we went on February 15th so it was a very busy night but still no excuse for a 2 hr 15 minute meal. I don't mind waiting at all for good food but the waitress didn't address our table for 10-15 mins, then she had to go get a wine menu, once we got the wine menu she then didn't come back for 10-15 mins and from the time we sat down till we got our 1st drink it was 40 mins. This also meant we didn't order for 40 mins. After that the food came out in good timing but still had to flag down the waitress if we wanted another wine or beer. Overall great food and atmosphere. Hard to justify the 20% tip I gave her when I have had better service at restaurants that were 1/3rd the price."

  • "The main reason to eat here is the quality of the food and the excellence of service - most important at any restaurant. Prices are on the expensive side so make it a special occasion. Well stocked bourbon selection too. The night we visited it was packed (Valentine's weekend), creating a rather loud atmosphere, which I don't like, so you may want to visit on a weeknight. Valet parking created a bottleneck on the side street causing us to be about ten minutes late for our reservation and losing our table. I suggest self-parking."

  • "This was our first visit and we were impressed. The only thing I would have liked to have changed would have been to have had the option of a table away from the bar. I did not realize we would be sitting at such a small table tucked in a corner with bar type chairs right by the bar. I would have liked to have had the option to choose. The Service was impeccable! The food was marvelous! the atmosphere was elegant and helped me provided a perfect valentines dinner for us! Keep up the good work and I will be recommending Volare to my friends!"

  • "We visited Volare during a Velentine's weekend trip to Louisville. My major gripe is that they appeared to be operating with quite a limited Valentine's Day menu. The food we had was prepared well and for a reasonable price. Not sure I understand the rave reviews I read on other sites, but a solid place to grab an italian meal."

(1) Incredible, innovative Italian food made from scratch with the best and freshest ingredients (many grown on the Chef's farm) by Chef Josh Moore and crew (2) A front of the house service and a bar staff under GM Tarrak Hamada that exudes 100% excellence (3) Owners, including Moore and Hamada who always put their customers first and who do not cut corners in any way and demand the very best for their guests from their staffs on a nightly basis. . If this is not the definition a go to restaurant for any and all occasions, I do not know what is."

  • "While We thought the dining experience was good and the service excellent, we would not return because te meal was way too expensive for what we got.. Our bill for two was $180 with one glass each of wine one appetizer, two entrees and dessert.. The appetizer was very good tough lukewarm, dessert was delightful but entrees were disappointing, again lukewarm. The sea bass was OK and the lamb shanks were fatty and not so tasty for the price, again lukewarm... So though it was not a bad experience, it was not worth repeating at that price, would havee njoyed lower price restaurants in town much more..Sorry"

My wife an I travel from Alabama on business every year to Louisville during Valentine week. We look forward to dinner at Volare every year to celebrate Valentines day. Due to the poor parking situation we respectfully will seek another restaurant expeirence during our next visit to the Louisville. Thank you"

  • "I treated my husband to a Valentine's dinner at Volare. We both ordered the specials - Tomahawk Ribeye for him which was huge and the Chilean Sea Bass for me which was a little underseasoned. We had scallops for appetizer and tiramisu for dessert. The bill was a little spendy, but we did order the specials on Valentine's Day, so... Our server did a wonderful job and little details like boxing and bagging leftovers with a claim ticket for us to pick them up after the meal was over and valet parking on a snowy night made it a top notch experience."
