Wonderful food at reasonable prices. The house salad was delicious, as was my cassoulet. They obviously make their own bread, which was outstnding. There is no liquor license, but you may bring your own wine. We'll be back.

We had delightful service to accompany the really excellent food at this Point Pleasant Beach restaurant. Although not on the main drag or near the water this spot is definitely worth seeking out.

  • Pleasant Surprise in Pt Pleasant

In the past, I didn't expect to find a good meal at the Jersey Shore (unless, of course, we are talking about "good" in the sense of greasy Boardwalk grub or a nice Jersey Shore sub). Voila was definitely a French restaurant on par to those we have had in big cities, and the fact that it was BYOB made it all the better. I would say that while the food was very slightly overpriced, it wasn't bad for a once in a while special occasion - and the food was absolutely to die for. Would definitely come back some time!

  • Viola is a quiet high quality

Viola is a quiet high quality choice in an area of loud crowded restaurants. The husband and wife team bring fine dining to the area after having a Red Bank location. The room is nice for dinner and the food is tasty. BYOB makes it affordable. The server is a seasoned professional with a warm personality. The small menu offers enough choices for most diners. We always enjoy eating here and will continue to return. A nice change of pace from the run of the mill Italian food factories in this area. Try it and see for yourself.

  • Voila Resto - superb - must return

Charming French owner/server - native of Normandy - & terrific chef partnership - Egyptian(? I think) trained in Parisian restaurants - made for a wonderful & non-pretentious dining experience. We went as a party of 5 at beginning of Jan. - the only diners but we were welcomed & made to feel comfortable immediately. We were out for a "girls' night out" birthday dinner & all vowed to return with our respective partners for another occasion. This was the genuine thing - true French cuisine, Edith Piaf in background &none of the pomp. Delicious. BYOB kept the dollars on the fine dining experience. Highly recommend this new (2nd year open?) quaint NJ find. They deserve to stay in business. Food is on a par with more renowned NJ restaurants.

We gathered for a special occasion and were a group of 6 with different tastes in food. Some members are vegetarian,s others are not. Voila Resto' menu is diverse and catered to all our needs beautifully. The food was truly excellent. My husband enjoyed the rack of lamb. He found it delicious and would give a 10. Personally I loved the salmon. The service was impeccable. We would definitely come back. We spent 3 relaxing hours. Thank you Voila Resto.

  • The thing about this restaurant
    HankVIP
    Dined on 11/30/2012
The thing about this restaurant is a high quality dinner served by professional people who are very nice. Too many locals pass this up for more Italian food. The limited menu and price fixed menus offer a good choice. Come here when you want a nice quiet dinner with very good food. Nice artwork on the walls too for a small space. Go visit soon and see what you think.

  • The food was not very taste.
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 11/17/2012
The food was not very taste. I had the bouillabaisse and my wife had the rack of lamb. The bouillabaisse was very weak and watery. No real fish flavor. The shell fish was over cooked and tough. No care was place into the dish. The rack of lamb was the better meal, but nothing to write home about. We were in France this year and were hoping to find a little flavor of France and did not find it here. The service was good.

Four of us went to dinner and as it is a byo...we brought our wine and martinis. The hostess is lovely and the service is excellent. The restaurant if not fancy and rather plain. The food was most enjoyable. We definitely would go back there.

  • Celebrating Bastille Day
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 7/14/2012
We are 3 ladies of French descent and chose this French-American restaurant to celebrate Bastille Day. We could not have made a better choice. From the gracious greeting to the attractive table with good lighting, we were constantly expressing our delight. The owner/hostess spoke to us in French for our pleasure although her English is very good. Appetizers, Entrees were very flavorful and well presented, sauce under filet mignon was outstanding. Dessert selection of ice-cream filled creme puffs with chocolate sauce and daintly stacked philo pastry layered with fresh whipped creme presented with fresh rasberries, validated our choice for an authentic French restaurant. The galleria of Italian paintings displayed is confusing.

Wonderful service with outstanding cuisine. The menu is slightly limited but there will be something for all tastes. The restaurant is small but cozy and can be quite romantic when dining for two. There is no wine or beer served here but BYOB is welcome. Be sure to view the restaurant website to view the menu to make your wine selection before attending so you can bring your own bottle. All around wonderful dining experience and a quite place to get gourmet food away from the hustle of the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk.

We visited Voila on a Wednesday evening. It was not crowded but you could tell most diners were regulars and it is no surprise. From the outside you would never know what lies in side. the food is very authentic French. The foie gras was generous and the bouillabaisse was rich with large pieces for fish and shell fish, though I would have liked more broth. And the roullie was more like a flavorful mayonnaise on toast. We would definitely go again!

  • What a find in Point Pleasant

What a find in Point Pleasant NJ!! We've visited the NJ Shore every summer for the past 25 years and always come away with great memories, EXCEPT for the restaurants we visit. Well this year was different and we will visit Voila EVERY time we come. The food is true French and the owners (Chef and Waitress) are amazing. Foie Gras at the Jersey Shore? WOW!! And it's Bring Your Own Bottle, so it doesn't get better than that!!! DON'T miss this gem.
