  • "Whatever you do, please don't order the Vogue Steak or the Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare but it's chewy and drowning in gravy, and they served string potato fries as a side on the steak. It's the French way of doing steak. Don't expect a good New York steak that is grilled and seasoned right. The only thing we like is the French onion soup. It was done right, not salty. The service was excellent. This is good for a laid-back dining experience because everything is serve in a slow, relaxing way. Not the place for a quick bite. Ask for a patio seating. Don't worry about the heat, they have a water mister installed."

  • "This is the second time we have been there with friends. What a lovely find! We live in Goodyear and there is nothing there that is comparable to this wonderful place. In the past, if we wanted to go somewhere nice, we had to resort to Scottsdale or Glendale. This is a perfect distance for us and both times we had a great experience, with the food, service, and ambience. Thank you."

Our appetizers were escargots and beet salad, neither very inspired, and neither plated very attractively. I might go back if in the area. At least it's not a steakhouse."

  • "Reservation was for a special occasion (birthday) but seating was not in an intimate area of the room. Last minute cancellation resulted in a move to a better table, quieter, less kitchen traffic. Noted table numbers for future reference. Waiter was attentive and in good humour. Food was beautifully served and to order. Partner's salad nicoise included a very generous portion of ahi tuna. Dressing on salad was too acetic, excessive vinegar. Complimentary desert for the birthday celebrant. Pleasant dining experience and will both recommend to others and return ourselves."

  • "Waitress J. Horrible took forever to get glass of wine. Food was excellent! After we finished meal.We sat with cleared table 15 minutes half party left after 10 minutes. 5 minutes later had to ask bus person to get J. To stop by she offered desert I said if you came by 10 minutes ago."

We would go back again just to try out some of the other menu options that you can't typically find at other restaurants in Surprise. It is a nice little gem way out west here where there's mainly only fast food & chain restaurants."

  • "This was my 4th visit and I have yet to determine what all the hullabaloo is about. There are three things I eat on the "French" bistro menu, the hangar steak, the hamburger and the onion soup. I have had the hangar steak once and was not impressed. This visit I had the onion soup the hamburger and the fries. This particular burger comes with onion, lettuce and cheddar cheese. I asked that the burger be cooked medium well. It came well (as it has in the past). It was like eating a hockey puck. At one point I removed the bread and had issues cutting through it with a knife. The fries were nothing more than McDonald's Fries in a fancy paper lined metal cone. The onion soup was to salty. I won't be returning."

There is a nice charm to the place, and a friendliness. When we have taken guests from out of town there, they want to go back to Vogue when they return for their next visit.   • "Overall very good with a few hiccups that were likely due to the amount of people dining on Valentines day. The restaurant was overcrowded, with the bar fully reserved, as well as the outside tables. The regular menu was still available, as well as a couple of nice specials. I had the Duck Confit, which was great but the fried potatoes seemed to need something. My husband had the seafood special, Sea Bass, lobstertail & seafood ravioli. The lobstertail was fine but the fish a bit mushy and the ravioli overdone. The first course soups were excellent - lobster bisque & french onion - as well as our starter of mix salami & bread. Our desserts, creme brulee and the chocolate sampler were also perfect. We left satisfied with our choice."

  • "Came in went to the bar to order drinks. Bartender made eye contact with me more than once and she walked right past me and my date more than three times. I finally said excuse me, she rudely responded. Next our app had a hair in it. At the end of it all we had ordered sweet potato fries and never received any, but it showed up on our bill. They did take it off the bill after we told our waiter."

  • "The Vogue steak was excellent, I was a little hesitant about ordering it because the cut of meat that is used, but I was glad I was wrong, tender and very flavorful. I ordered med rare and got it med rare. (I would not order med or more, similar to skirt steak) I would have liked a vegetable or salad with the meal, but apparently with this you would have to order it as an extra. Excellent selection of beer and wine. My wife had the meatloaf, tasted like a beef flavored very moist stuffing, same texture as a very moist stuffing, mushy. No distinct meatloaf flavor at all. Staff after asking about our food and hearing about it, immediately tried to do everything to make it right, and they did. Kudos to the staff. I will go again."

  • "We had a large group and were seated in the outside area, nice heavy blinds to keep out the cold with above heaters..the service was good even with a large party..food was excellant..only one thing i was not happy with, my Martini..tasted sweet and i would not consider it as cold as it was listed..maybe just so many diners that by the time it came it needed to be shaken again...so i had wine which was great..will go back again."

  • "So, first let me say I'd go back. Second, my review as with some others will mention slowness. It should not take 15 minutes (after they were ordered) for drinks to show up at the table. Which kinda surprised me because everyone knows that's how restaurants make their money. So, get the drinks out and if you need to bring on an extra bartender for Fri and Sat evenings - do it! Food was pretty good - sides were interesting and good and the same with the starters. A little more training of the wait staff is in order. We were seated with couples on both sides of us and heard 3 different renditions of the specials. And I already mentioned slowness. Again, if you need to bring on extra wait staff for the weekend - do it."
