  • "Appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) and desserts (creme brulee & chocolates selection) were excellent. Entrees rather disappointing! Eggplant Parmesan was dry with no accompaniments although quite tasty while the special - veal pasta dish was very bland and the veal somewhat tough. Service was slower than expected for a Tuesday evening with only a few tables occupied. Overall, better than other run-of-the-mill restaurants but not as good as we had been led to believe or that the prices would suggest."

  • "I decided to take my wife somewhere besides the Phoenix or Scottsdale area. I had been to Vogue for lunch in the past but decided it would be a great date night. Perfection. Arrived early for our 7 pm reservation but ended up eating at the bar. MARTINIS are incredible, wine for the Mrs. No complaints. Ordered Oysters Rockefeller for an app - had to since it is my wife's favorite. Must admit, they weren't all that bad. Wife wanted to step out of the box and have the Rabbit. She Really enjoyed it! Great stew! I had the Meatloaf - wow! Must try! To cap the night we had the Chocolate Collection. You cannot go wrong with that. Definitely a bright dining spot in the West Valley."

  • "I was surprised to find a place like this in Surprise. Normally I have to go to Phoenix or Scottsdale to enjoy food like this. I gave it overall 4 stars out of 5 with the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the service by the hostess was quite abrupt. She literally led us to a small table and left us there without asking if it was an ok seat...just a minor thing. Otherwise, the food was great with good and unique variety. The wine list was my favorite thing as they offer an incredible amount of different wines by the glass! Most restaurants offer the 3 or 4 usual suspects by the glass like St. Michelle Riesling and your basic Cabs and Merlots...not here though, the selection was excellent and much appreciated. Service was friendly"

  • "I can't say enough about Vogue Bistro, the food is excellent, spoke to a number of people in the restaurant that were many time repeat customers, prices are very reasonable, I drove 30 miles for dinner because of the restaurant's reputation and I would do it all over again, by fare one of Phoenix/Surprise's best restaurants."

  • "Our food was very good (we had a filet and rabbit stew) a beet salad and escargot. Service was well above good. Food was fresh and organic. We were visitors to Phoenix (Surprise) and we live in Las Vegas so we are very use to great French Restaurants. This place would be successful in Las Vegas. The outside seating set up was very good."

  • "The food, the service and the ambience are the best in Surprise!!! Our server Dana should be awarded best server! She made us feel special and she was very attentive to all of our needs! We were celebrating my mom's 79th birthday and made sure to make my mom feel like number one! Thank you Dana! When we return, we will definitely ask for you! Try the escargot, it's the best I've ever had! Thank you Chef, you are very talented!"

  • "I especially enjoy Vogue Bistro for lunching with friends and family. The ambience reminds me of bistros in Paris--comfortable, elegant, and quiet--making it pleasant for conversing. Service was very good, quiche is outstanding always, and menu is never a disappointment. Love their homemade gelato--a must for dessert."

  • "One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for the past 3 years. The food is always great & it's a nice change from the chain restaurants in this area. Love the unique menu offerings. We were very disappointed with our recent visit, as the Steak Vogue, is now 1/3 of the size it used to be, but the same price. This entree should also include something in addition to the heap of shoestring fries. Perhaps some nice roasted veggies? Too many fries, not enough steak. Oysters on the half shell were ridiculously overpriced ($36/doz.). Although we enjoy the food, the expense is too great for what is offered. We would've spent the same amount for a wonderful dining experience at Capital Grille. My husband left the restaurant hungry."

  • "Our first visit to Vogue Bistro. It was our wedding anniversary. Very nice dining area. The patio looks wonderful, but a little too warm this time of the year to dine outside for us. Definitely will have to try another time. food was great! Will definitely visit again."

  • "Food was delicious. My husband practically swooned over the outstanding meatloaf. Unusual due in part to the sauce it came with. My striped bass was yummy, flavorful at first, then the thicker parts of it became drier and less flavorful below. (It was stacked in two pieces.) Still, it was better than many other restaurants' attempts at fresh fish. Scrumptious finished it off. Great wine list. The waitress must have gotten busy indoors and forgot to bring us the basket of bread she said she was going to bring to us on the patio (was sunset time). Didn't need it anyway, but a restaurant should also be partially judged by the quality of its bread. Patio needs curtain to block oncoming headlights after sunset. At least a half-way up curtain."

  • "I thought the idea of using open table was an excellent way to make reservations. The staff was always there to clear plates to fill water glasses and ask if we needed anything else. The food was excellent and we had a table of four. The one wife was very difficult with her orders but the staff was obliging and returned her order for another. I would diffinately recommend the Vogue to any and all to dine."

  • " Took my GF here for dinner, we wanted to try something new. The food was great! And the place looked nice. The thing I didn't like was the service. We got seated 7:15pm and it took 10-15 mins for the waitress to acknowledge us and take our drink orders with an order of an appetizer(7:30pm) Another 10 mins to get our drinks after ordering them(7:45pm) about 30-40 mins for our appetizer to get to our table(7:50pm) And a full hour for our food(8:15pm) So we got out of there around 9pm(yes I timed everything and it wasn't that busy) but I would recommend this place for the food.. Maybe service will be better next time."

  • "The Vogue Bistro had been a favorite of each of us before we ever met, so when we talked of dining out for the first time, the selection was easy. Selecting from a broad list of starters, including the freshest oysters around, and a great tempura calamari treat, followed by a signature salmon entree and the chef selection grouper yielded a well-satisfying dining experience for us. Our bottle of white wine and the great chocalate dessert were icing on the cake, no pun intended. All others in the full restaurant seemed to be having the same experience. We have never been less than totally satisfied with the Vogue Bistro and we have recommended it for several years. The staff and service are at high standards. Best in the West valley. "

  • "Great mojito. Bathroom decorations are nice. I got the steak special; Ok, but pricey. Servers were friendly and helpful, except for dark haired hostess. I don't recommend the foie gras or the bruschetta special with black berries. We will go back again to try lunch because it's in the area, has a good atmosphere, and we were treated well."

  • "Whatever you do, please don't order the Vogue Steak or the Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare but it's chewy and drowning in gravy, and they served string potato fries as a side on the steak. It's the French way of doing steak. Don't expect a good New York steak that is grilled and seasoned right. The only thing we like is the French onion soup. It was done right, not salty. The service was excellent. This is good for a laid-back dining experience because everything is serve in a slow, relaxing way. Not the place for a quick bite. Ask for a patio seating. Don't worry about the heat, they have a water mister installed."

  • "This is the second time we have been there with friends. What a lovely find! We live in Goodyear and there is nothing there that is comparable to this wonderful place. In the past, if we wanted to go somewhere nice, we had to resort to Scottsdale or Glendale. This is a perfect distance for us and both times we had a great experience, with the food, service, and ambience. Thank you."

  • "..more like "continental". Eggplant parm, lasagna, steak Diane, meatloaf (?); a legit French entree was rabbit stew which we ordered and it was tasty if not totally authentic. Our appetizers were escargots and beet salad, neither very inspired, and neither plated very attractively. I might go back if in the area. At least it's not a steakhouse."
