Great meal and it is great with the time between the servings. Head Chef is a great inventor of special dishes.8/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile the food and the serviceWhile the food and the service were very good I found the prices of food and wine very, very expensive. I did enjoy our evening but we can only afford to go there for very special occasions, perhaps once a year.7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMItalian GemGreat Italian restaurant with delicious food. Dishes to be sbared so this is a perfect setting for small or large groups. Very pricey but well worth it. Large wine selection; the two we ordered (recommended from host) were delish!6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome food and service (Pat).Awesome food and service (Pat). The tastiest and most tender Beef Tenderloin I have ever had. Definitely Edmonton's #1 dining establishment.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, again. Our party of 6 was treated to a very pleasant dining experience! The service was excellent, the server was charming, food was delicious, price was reasonable, good parking and access. Highly recommended! 5 stars.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, AGAIN!Not only is this food always excellent and ever changing, it is priced accordingly. vivo gives excellent value for all of its food, wine, service and decor. We had a new pasta of rigatoni with spicy tomato/sausage sauce with two warmed balls of fresh mozzarella on top which balanced the hot spice. We also had fiddleheads with bison bresaola! Where else can you find this? Mike served us and was very helpful & knowledgeable too.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden Gem!Tucked away in the southern end of Lessard Road is Vivo Ristorante - easily the best Italian fare in the city. They serve family style and the portions are large so bring your appetite. You MUST try the fettuccine alfredo - made with NO cream... just butter and cheese. DECADENT!!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and friendly service.Great food and friendly service. Our waiter was so passionate about food, he made us want to try everything. The gnocchi was a little mushy but the Chilean sea bass was one of the best!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, very fresh andGreat food, very fresh and well seasoned. This is definitely a restaurant made for groups with their family style service! The portions for two people were enormous, even with the smaller plates! I wouldn't come back unless there was four of us in a group, I don't like to come home with leftovers. The waitress explained every dish, was knowledgeable regarding the wine list, and we never waited for anything. the only sore point was that we told our waitress that we weren't in a hurry and wanted to spread out the dishes and they came back to back to back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Evening! We were there for a special birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was first class.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night out!!!Big thanks to the staff at vivo. This was my second visit and it was even better then the first time. All the food was amazing and the service staff is second to none in the city. If you want to have a great meal. You have to Experiance vivo. Can't wait for my next visit!!!!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice place to dine as a coupleFirst time at rthe restaurant. Food was prepared very different, and was a nice "change", very delicious. Waiter Cory was very good, explained everything well, not pushy but very accomodating. The menu was a bit confusing as we did not know if we were both supposed to order one of each item, in the end we had an appie, a salad, a veggie, and the pork and shared it all as one.
The menu was a tad exepensive, but great food and good for a "specialty meal" like a birthday or an anniversary. The wine selection was good, and wy wife and I dine out a fair amount, but the price of the wine is ridiculous. You should be able to go out and enjoy a "decent" 6 oz. glass of wine for less than $10 (not here !!)2/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
