Excellent meal and service! Cocktails were well crafted and wine list extensive but we enjoyed the house red a good bargain. We enjoyed a special appetizer of soft shelled crab over spinach that was amazing as well as the calamari which is the best here. We all had a pasta - you can't go wrong as they are homemade. The Bolognaise is a favorite. The Garlic Shrimp is no ordinary scampi and feeling like pasta I added the homemade mafaldine pasta to the dish (which they happily accommodated) The shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. Another had the Vodka Sauce over gnocchi with sausage and the Shrimp Arrabbiata was cooked perfectly - the sauce was just right! All meals were delicious! Matt the GM always makes you feel welcomed.

My fiancé and I stopped in while we were in Baltimore on vacation. We were a/b 20 min late b/c of our flight and they were really nice when I called to tell them we were running late. John was our server, and he was very gracious and helpful, even though we were the last table of the night for him. Food was pretty good. The cheese and meat plate we got to start was really good, and we each got a pizza for our entrée. The prosciutto and pear, which is what I got, was good. The cheese on it was very pungent, and not my particular taste, but I can totally see how the flavor pairing would work for others. My fiancés pizza was good, can't remember the name, but he loved it! Thanks for a great experience!

We weren't expecting to like this spot as much as we did, just because it's around Arundel Mills, not a place we ever go to eat. The menu has plenty for everyone to find something they'll like. Two of us had the family size malfadine pasta with bolognese sauce. It was absolutely delicious and we took home plenty -- the family size would definitely work for three, and maybe four. Liked cheeses as an appetizer. Our cheese came with fig jam and olives and crackers -- nice presentation. Like the salad alot. No room for dessert, so can't comment. One good thing was that there was no bread, it just wasn't necessary.

My son and I had dinner at Vivo this week, and while the food and service were good, my son, who is 6'4" ordered the filet, which turned out to be about 4 ounces, along with about 5 little asparagus spears! Literally, about 4 bites. For $29!!! So, if you're at all hungry, don't order the filet, or you might want to opt for the Firegrille in the same hotel. We dined there the next night and the food and service were excellent-and ample!

We always expect nothing less than extraordinary meal and first class service from Vivo - Claudio the manager has set the bar high for this well run restaurant! This visit lived up to our high expectations. We brought two new people and even though it was a very busy night Claudio made our new guests feel as welcomed as we do. We enjoyed the fresh bread with the olive oil and humus with our wine and took our time before ordering. We had two appetizers the Panko Ravioli and the Calamari - both were excellent. Main meals were the Mafaldine Bolognese , Garlic Shrimp (added pasta)and Frank's Veal. All three are favorites. Pasta here is homemade and cooked perfectly. Ended with desserts which are worth enjoying!Extraordinary!

We have dined at Vivo several times and when we finish, we can't wait to return. Even though our regular server, Jamar, was out of town, our server Nicole was very good balancing tables both inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace. The Caesar salad here is the best I've ever had - there's something a little tangy about the dressing and the finely chopped hard boiled egg adds a little extra. Our main dishes of salmon & crab oreganata, lasagna, chicken marsala and chicken parm were outstanding. Also the bread is great here - soft on the inside with a crisp crust. We didn't have room for dessert but what we saw at other tables looked delicious. Parking is easy in the adjoining garage so no matter the weather, you're covered.

Just minutes away from BWI, we met up with others before getting our kids at airport. Who would have thought an Italian restaurant would do Salmon better than ever!? Nice wine on draft. Delicious white pizza. Huge portion of eggplant for the birthday boy. Salads that were excellent! Danielle provided wonderful service. Manager made a quick swing by the table to make sure we were good but nothing obtrusive. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will go again even if I don't have to pick up someone at BWI.

I had the gnocchi which was not as good as the waiter made it out to be, but my friend's mushroom pizza was phenomenal. Nice outdoor ambience. Felt rushed by the waiter to order and our table was not even set up for dinner when we had ordered (no utensils, no napkin etc). When we had our food is was hard to our waiter again. It was not that busy in the restaurant.

What a great place for lunch - the menu has anything you can want from pizza, salads, sandwiches to entrees. We were there for a celebration so we wanted to enjoy a bigger entree style lunch. We enjoyed three pastas all cooked perfectly al dente. We started with the Calamari, a favorite of all of ours. The Mafaldine Bolognaise is a delicious- a must try for anyone coming here. For a seafood lover, the Bucatini with lobster and shrimp is amazing - the cream sauce is light and not overpowering the dish. The Garlic Shrimp is unlike any scampi elsewhere - the spinach adds so much to this dish. Service is always spot on - there when you want them but never rushing you.

Old friends from out of town were visiting and our first thought was to bring them to Vivo for a special night out. We sat and enjoyed the house wine - a great value with the fresh bread with olive oil and humus. The Panko Ravioli were delicious. My friend a pork lover, had the Pork Shank Osso Buco but asked for spinach on the side instead of the potatoes which they were happy to accommodate. Other big hits were the Lobster and Shrimp Bucatini and Mafaldine Bolognese. The Bolognese is a must try if you are new to Vivo! The service and food was what we have come to expect - excellent! Claudio, the manager, as always made us feel welcomed. He runs a great restaurant. Matt the GM was in and welcomed us too. They are a great team.

We went over the July 4th weekend and it was very quiet with a limited holiday menu, however, luckily they had exactly what we had planned on ordering - Caesar salads, salmon/crab oreganato and chicken parm - all excellent choices. Jamar, our regular server whom we always request, was working and was very happy to see us, even remembering what we liked to eat. He is very attentive and goes the extra mile to ensure that our dining experience is exceptional. The restaurant itself is very 'Tuscany' with stone walls, an open kitchen, muted lighting, and a very warm, comfortable feeling. It's definitely one of our favorite 'go to' places either when dining out with friends or just as a sure bet when we're in the mood for good Italian food.

From beginning to end, we had a fantastic time. Our server, Greg, was very informative and made some great recommendations. He was very accommodating throughout our entire visit, we never wanted for a thing. We had the Calamari as an appetizer and shared the Bucatini with Lobster and Shrimp...delicious! We even received a visit from the manager, Claudio, who chatted with us for a bit about wine and he was able to offer us some great suggestions to compliment our meal. Went here for a birthday early dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves. It started with the bread and olive/hummus like dipping sauce which we loved. They had a great special which was a twist on a southern meal of chicken and grits but Italian style; the chicken was moist and lemony and the polenta was just right. Also we had one of the pizzas with crab meat on it, yummy in my tummy. To finish off the meal, we enjoyed the nutella cannolis. We all left with full bellys.

This is where we bring new people because we know we can count on excellent food and service - once again we were not disappointed. We recommended the Mafaldine Bolognese to one of our friends who said it was by far the best pasta dish she ever had in any Italian restaurant.! We agree! Others enjoyed the Linguine with Clam Sauce, with plenty of clams and seasoned perfectly. Another friend wanted the ravioli but wanted a vodka sauce and sausage - they reworked the dish to accommodate her. She said it was amazing. As always we started and enjoyed the calamari (the best here) and a selection of meat and cheeses. Claudio, the manager makes everyone feel at home and sets the bar high for his staff. Great wine too!

We had a very nice lunch here. Nice selection of wines and menu items and all the food we ordered was very good and nicely presented. Service was prompt and professional, but could have been a tad bit friendlier and less abrupt. However it was probably just the personality of our particular server, who actually warmed up as the meal progressed. In any cased, we would return to Vivo again.

My first time at this restaurant, chose it for a date night. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Understanding of course that this is a hotel restaurant, the service was very pleasant, and the food very enjoyable.
