Vivo Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar is a contemporary, casual bar and restaurant, taking inspiration from the mountainous Tuscan region of Italy. Vivo, a bustling trattoria, features soulful Italian food from various regions of Italy. Salumi, cheeses, salads and antipasti introduce homemade pastas, and artisanal pizzas. Italian and American wines will be served by the glass as well as by the bottle. Fresh espresso and cappuccino will be served along with house made desserts. A casual place to gather, share great food, wine and companionship.

  • "Old friends from out of town were visiting and our first thought was to bring them to Vivo for a special night out. We sat and enjoyed the house wine - a great value with the fresh bread with olive oil and humus. The Panko Ravioli were delicious. My friend a pork lover, had the Pork Shank Osso Buco but asked for spinach on the side instead of the potatoes which they were happy to accommodate. Other big hits were the Lobster and Shrimp Bucatini and Mafaldine Bolognese. The Bolognese is a must try if you are new to Vivo! The service and food was what we have come to expect - excellent! Claudio, the manager, as always made us feel welcomed. He runs a great restaurant. Matt the GM was in and welcomed us too. They are a great team."

  • "We went over the July 4th weekend and it was very quiet with a limited holiday menu, however, luckily they had exactly what we had planned on ordering - Caesar salads, salmon/crab oreganato and chicken parm - all excellent choices. Jamar, our regular server whom we always request, was working and was very happy to see us, even remembering what we liked to eat. He is very attentive and goes the extra mile to ensure that our dining experience is exceptional. The restaurant itself is very 'Tuscany' with stone walls, an open kitchen, muted lighting, and a very warm, comfortable feeling. It's definitely one of our favorite 'go to' places either when dining out with friends or just as a sure bet when we're in the mood for good Italian food."

  • "From beginning to end, we had a fantastic time. Our server, Greg, was very informative and made some great recommendations. He was very accommodating throughout our entire visit, we never wanted for a thing. We had the Calamari as an appetizer and shared the Bucatini with Lobster and Shrimp...delicious! We even received a visit from the manager, Claudio, who chatted with us for a bit about wine and he was able to offer us some great suggestions to compliment our meal. Overall the best service that I have received in a very long time."

  • "Went here for a birthday early dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves. It started with the bread and olive/hummus like dipping sauce which we loved. They had a great special which was a twist on a southern meal of chicken and grits but Italian style; the chicken was moist and lemony and the polenta was just right. Also we had one of the pizzas with crab meat on it, yummy in my tummy. To finish off the meal, we enjoyed the nutella cannolis. We all left with full bellys."

  • "This is where we bring new people because we know we can count on excellent food and service - once again we were not disappointed. We recommended the Mafaldine Bolognese to one of our friends who said it was by far the best pasta dish she ever had in any Italian restaurant.! We agree! Others enjoyed the Linguine with Clam Sauce, with plenty of clams and seasoned perfectly. Another friend wanted the ravioli but wanted a vodka sauce and sausage - they reworked the dish to accommodate her. She said it was amazing. As always we started and enjoyed the calamari (the best here) and a selection of meat and cheeses. Claudio, the manager makes everyone feel at home and sets the bar high for his staff. Great wine too!"

  • "We had a very nice lunch here. Nice selection of wines and menu items and all the food we ordered was very good and nicely presented. Service was prompt and professional, but could have been a tad bit friendlier and less abrupt. However it was probably just the personality of our particular server, who actually warmed up as the meal progressed. In any cased, we would return to Vivo again."

Was not disappointed - the atmosphere was great and they had family style portions which was great for our group - we also had 2 young children with us and the staff was friendly and acccomodating.   • "The lunch menu is varied - from salads and sandwiches to main dishes. We enjoyed the Panko Ravioli with fresh marinara sauce We had salads - Insalata Vivo and the Caprese both were excellent. The pizza here is not ordinary - very fresh and some special combinations such as the Chicken Caprese which we loved. Claudio, the manager, always sets a tone of hospitality that carry's over to his well trained servers. All the servers are great here. It was a busy lunch hour but still everyone is attentive. I had a delightful lunch with friends I had not seen and no one rushes you! "

  • "We had a change in our table plans and needed to add 2 more to our group of 8. I called and let them know that day and they moved everything around. We had our wedding party there for our in laws after our reception and they gave the entire table champagne. They were very nice and suggested foods that we ordered. Overall it was delightfull and a place we will not forget about ever."

  • "Dinner for 3 and a couple of drinks. Real, fresh pasta. Solid choices throughout. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. I would return the next time in the area. Be warned it is brick and high ceilings and very loud. If you can get past that it is definitely worth a try."

  • "This was our fifth visit to Vivo in the last two months and we never get tired of it. The food and service are excellent and the ambiance is perfect. My pasta with lobster and shrimp was delicious with more seafood than I thought would be present. My husband's salmon was beautifully prepared and accompanied by asparagus in a light sauce. One member of our party mentioned that her chicken picatta was a little salty but not so much that she wanted to send it back and request a different dish. Our other friend ordered the chicken Marsala and enjoyed it very much. The bread was good although it would have been better had it been warm and not room temperature. All in all, it was a pleasant evening and we will definitely return."

They keep surprising us with new things on the menu. I enjoyed the new panko fried Ravioli for an appetizer. Lunch has a good a variety from sandwiches, pizzas to main dishes. Service is always great. "

  • "I had dinner with a friend that I hadn't seen in 35 years! The waitress was very nice and waited for us to stop talking long enough to order our food. The food was delicious (and I'm sure the leftovers will be, too)! My friend and I stayed for a couple of hours and we were never asked to leave. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat in the Arundel Mills area! Thank you for a wonderful experience! "

  • "Party of seven. Nice antipasto to share. I have filet mignon with Gorgonzola, done to my specification well. Others had pasta dishes, Salmon, and veal dishes which they enjoyed. Wasn't the very best Italian I have had but better than most Italian in Baltimore."

  • "This is a restaurant that is excellent overall! Claudio, the manager, sets the tone for excellent service that you normally only get in city restaurants. The hospitality and customer paced dining is special. The food is consistent, fresh and homemade. We started off with cheeses and meats that reminded of the finest in Italy. Tonight all meals were favorites - Franks Veal (we love the spinach that comes with this) the Bolognese (amazing and homemade pasta too) and the Eggplant (one of our diners does not eat pasta so he substituted the spinach for the pasta) Great wine list and for my beer drinking friend some favorites even on tap. We did save room for the cannoli – desserts here are not ordinary. No need to go to the city ! "

We are frequent dinner guests and were so impressed with the varied inexpensive lunch menu – pizza, subs, Panini sandwiches, salads, and for those who want more to eat some of their great pastas and entrees from the dinner menu. I had a PLT Panini – an Italian BLT with a side of the soup of the day - Sausage and Kale. Both were excellent. I really could have eaten bowls of the soup it was so fresh and delicious. My friend had the Fresh Mozzarella & Prosciutto – she claimed it was the best. She had hers with the Vivo salad. The price can't be beat!"

  • "Vivo never fails. We are frequent guests and this was a very busy night but the food still was outstanding. We had two new guests with us and they were impressed. We started with the Calamari and all agree they do it to perfection. Our guests had the Garlic Shrimp and could not stop talking about the big perfectly cooked shrimp and the spinach - no ordinary scampi. The Lobster and Shrimp Bucatini is a must try - homemade pasta with plentiful seafood and the cream sauce is delicate. Another favorite was the Rigatoni and Sweet Sausage an interesting blend of ingredients that is delicious. Vivo's house wine is a great bargain and good. We all enjoyed the cannoli -- they really are special here."

  • "You can tell how much I love this restaurant by the fact that my husband and I have dined here 3 times in the past 4 weeks and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious (chicken parm, lobster/shrimp pasta, salmon/crab, chicken marsala), the bread is fresh with a soft inside but crunchy crust, the atmosphere is definitely Italian, and the waitstaff professional and courteous. On our first visit our server was Jamar and we were so impressed by his menu suggestions and attentiveness that we've asked for him on our subsequent visits as well. Vivo is located lobby-level in the Hotel at the Reserve at Arundel Mills which has a large garage attached making parking very easy and dry in case of foul weather. We've become regulars!"

  • "I was not expecting Vivo to be so fabulous. Sure, the reviews were good, but my experiences with hotel restaurants has typically been 'meh'. We were really impressed with the whole operation. Staff was friendly, warm and professional. The space is handsome, if a little loud. And the food was swoon-worthy. Every dish we had was well balanced, well seasoned, and well thought out. Little touches took dishes from pretty good to exceptional- the subtle bit of basil in the house salad, the dollop of fresh ricotta on the Bolognese, the red pepper on the white bean dip.... I wish Vivo was closer to home so we could be regulars."
