I just recently took my girlfriend there for dinner before seeing the Book of Mormon, (Bank of America Theater... 90 seconds walking distance from the restaurant) on her birthday. Our server, Rudolfo was wise enough to ask if we were attending a performance that evening shortly upon arriving at our table, and it was immediately apparent he was knowledgeable of the menu. He continued to be attentive & helpful throughout the course of our meal, as was the supplementary wait staff. We were going to the theater afterward and we had a relaxed experience knowing they understood our time constraints. Our martini's were perfect and we loved that they shook them at the table filled our glasses and then left the shaker with a bit more at the table for us to consume at our leisure. Amazing food!This was a wonderful restaurant to surprise my wife for a special evening. Our waiter was very informed of the entrees & the wine pairings for them. The prices were reasonable (for a downtown restaurant), and we were both very impressed with the decorations, presentation, and food quality. Having recently visited Italy, we both felt a bit of deja vu from our time in Rome & Florence. My husband had the pasta with Borognese sauce, which was superb. The waiter asked what we thought of the food. My dish was immediately replaced. We found that our experience at Vivere equaled our ding experience at Spiaggia: I think that is high praise for the Vivere's excellent kitchen and staff of well-organized servers.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went before the TheatreWe went before the Theatre and loved the service and the valet parking which allowed us to leave the car till after the show. Service was excellent. We had the pork roast and it was OK but not exceptional. The chef recommended that it be "pink" but we weren't comfortable eating pink pork.
