  • "Food was very good and there was a nice selection of choices. The waitress was very good but the 2 assistants kept asking if we were done which made us uncomfortable. Also, dinner was waiting for us the minute we put down our forks after the appetizers (one assistant was holding our dinner as the other was taking our plates from the appetizers away). Will try this restaurant again but for brunch."

  • "That's all I can say about everything! Great!! Can't wait for the weather to break so we can dine on the outdoor patio/bar. Michael-Angelo, was our host both times. The second time he recognized us as we checked out coats. He greeted us every warm and friendly. He made us feel familiar. Always good when your returning to an establishment. We met the GM Asif, as well he was also very friendly. He remembered our previous visit (brunch) with our sons. We will definitely be returning soon."

  • "Although We enjoyed our Dinner, I think that your wine prices by the bottle (stellino pinot grigio for example) is priced at $30 on the computer wine list but at the restaurant is $40. I believe $30 is a fair price taking in its wholesale price of about $10. Maybe a revamp of your wine list is needed."

  • "I have been to this restaurant through all of the opening and closings with different names, and really never been disappointed. The wait staff was phenominal, and very attentive. Wednesday night is 50% off any bottle of wine. Menu has a lot of wonderful options, and there were plenty of daily specials to also choose from. Even though it is an hours drive from home, we will be going again."

  • "I have come here a number of times - it has changed names a few times, Im not sure why. The location is beautiful and so is the restaurant with its romantic fireplce and cozy feel. Valet parking, amazing locale with wonderful views and right off where clerview and cross island meet. The food has always been good and at times inventive. We started with the octopus in some sort of light sauce and the wife had the ceasar with the white anchioves. Both were excellent and did not disappoint. While I wasnt crazy about the seabass stew it was nicely presented. The Branzino was very flavorful and the fingerling potatoes made a great side. If you are looking for that romantic Gem in Queens, this is probably it."

  • "After this site went through several ownerships, we had just about given up on it, despite its being less than 1/10 of a mile from our home. However, after reading the rave reviews, we decided to stay close to home on a bitter cold night and try Vivaldi's. The food was outstanding and the service friendly...our server Veronica was a real sweetheart! I had her suggested appetizer - the fried artichokes - and they were delicious, as were the baked clams. The tuna loin was prepared just as I liked it. On Wednesdays they have a wine special - all bottles were half-price - which was a nice surprise. Over the next few weeks, they are participating in restaurant week and I intend to try both their lunch and dinner with friends. Manhattan quality!"

  • "Over the years, I have occasionally eaten at the prior restaurants that were housed in this location right at the periphery of the Clearview Golf Course. It has never been anything worthy of mention. This time around, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was well prepared and desserts were excellent. This is the type of brunch place Queens has been lacking. However, expect to pay close to mid-range Manhattan prices. Service was professional and attentive with the exception of what appeared to be the manager. Despite walking by several times and approaching random other tables to say hello and inquire as to their meal, there was never any eye contact with our table. Made us wonder whether we parked in his parking space."

Onions were put in the lobster salad which takes away from the lobster itself. Based upon the price the portion amounts and the small selection, I at this time would not recommend Vivaldi"

  • "Haven't been here in several months, but the food is still very good. The service was a bit slow this time around,, but wje were in no rush. I only wish they had a few more daily specials. Their small menu, which attributes to the good food, easily becomes limited in choices once you've been there 3-4 times. Nonetheless, enjoyable and recommended."

We visited on a Friday night during the recent snow storm and there were only a few tables occupied but we barely saw our waiter, it's like he disappeared for periods of time. Was hopeful, but just ok. This location just has not been the same since cafe on the green closed."

  • "This was the former home of silent film star Rudolph Valentino and still conveys that old world charm. The views overlooking the Throgs Neck Bridge and Clearview Golf Course are lovely and add to the warm and welcoming dining experience provided by the new owner, whose last name also starts with a V. The restaurant has been redone in an upscale mediterranean decor. The waitstaff is very accommodating and friendly and you feel as if you are enjoying the comforts of your own home. Meals are reasonably priced and an exceptional value when compared with the menu selections and food presenations."

  • "My wife and I tried out Vivaldi's after seeing so many positive reviews. We were not disappointed. The ambiance was perfect for our anniversary. The wait staff catered to our every need. The restaurant has a very classy feel, and can be an intimate setting or good for groups. We started with baked clams and buffala mozzarella. Both were very good, but the baked clams stood as the best we have ever had! My wife had a pasta dish with a lobster and I did the ribeye with Parmesan fries. Both were spectacular. The meat was cooked to perfection. For Desert we had a peanut butter based cake and the staff was nice enough to put happy anniversary on it. We will certainly be going back!"

  • "After being a regular at the old Cafe on the Green for many years, and suffering through the failed attempts to revive the excellent culinary experience at Rudolph Valentino's old mansion, I can honestly say that they have it right this time. Vivaldi is an elegant setting in Bayside, Queens, right at the foot of the Throgs Neck Bridge and the food and service was superb! I went on a Wednesday early evening, so it was not crowded yet. Was pleasantly surprised to find half price wine Wednesdays on all bottles of wine on the menu. The place has been re-decorated very elegantly. The service and attention from managerial staff was first class. I can't wait to go back at a busier time to see if the level of attention is maintained. Great!"

The rib lamb chops were done to perfection, the calamari were delicious if perhaps a bit underdone to my liking, and the Cesar salad was uniquely delicious The service was superb. We were there on a Tuesday night and there were only four tables filled but the noise level was intolerable. They were trying out music (in the other room) which may become a regular Wednesday night treat. . In such a beautiful, romantic setting more attention should have been payed to the acoustics! The fireplace room is carpeted and looks as though it might be more muted. All in all it is good to have an additional fine dining restaurant as their numbers are diminishing. We will return during the week."

  • "It's been a restaurant roller coaster ride at this location. Vivaldi is rolling towards the crest. The food is very good, bordering on outstanding. The calamari, raw oysters, mussels, and lobster salad are good starters. The scallops and veal milanese are excellent entrees. Don't usually have dessert, but one of my guests tried the chocolate gelato that was so smooth and delicious. Service is outstanding and very attentive w/o being intrusive. I hope others find this place because it will be a fabulous food experience."

The food was very good, portions were not so huge that you couldn't finish, and the service was friendly and attentive. We'll definitely go back and pick from the regular menu."

  • "Overlooking Little Neck Bay and the Throg's Neck Bridge is a gem of a new restaurant that took over the space that was occupied by Caffé on the Green for many years, then by the short-lived Valentino's. The interior was newly renovated, tasteful and understated, but what impressed us is the warm welcome of the staff, both the maitre de and waiter, George. It was early with only a couple of tables occupied, and the hostess brought us to a small table for two smack in the middle of the room. The maitre de immediately came over before we were even seated to offer us a table on the side, very sensitive to a feeling that we might feel uncomfortable seated in the middle of an almost empty room. The food was excellent so we will be back!"

  • "It was my birthday and the first time in returning to this restaurant since it was Cafe on the Green. The food was nice but, the pre-fixed menu for $28 is GREAT which for the first time, that is really the best way to go! However, there was too many candied walnuts in the wedge salad, the seared sea bass was made well but the additions of the BIG lima beans where not good, they were hard and did nothing for the presentation or the taste either. I had to order mashed potatoes that were a little bland. Other than that, I am going to be returning to try their brunch and lunch before I can really make a final assessment on the the food."
