VivaceAmazing experience every time!This is our favorite restaurant in Raleigh. Perfect service and outstanding food offered at a reasonable price. Last night I had the scallop risotto with asparagus tips - perfectly cooked and unbelievably tasty. My wife had the bronzini. It was the whole fish grilled with a great artichoke pesto and fresh lemon - tender, tasty and also perfectly cooked. Our server was always there when we needed him, but never overbearing. He had great food and wine recommendations. I cannot reccomend this restaurant enough!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMRestairantt Week VisitorVisited during restaurant week and chose the special menu. Restaurant week menu was very limited to only two choices (a soup or salad; pasta dish or salmon) and only one dessert offered. The items were quite good and beautifully presented, but I do not think that they were the best respresentations of the chef's capabilities. The restaurant noise level is more than vibrant and energetic - think high school cafeteria level noise. The Caesar salad and pizza were excellent and I especially appreciated the expansive wine list. The wait staff was wonderfully attentive without being overbearing. The whipped goat cheese appetizer we got was fantastic as well. My wife's pasta dish was a surprisingly small portion but was fine notwithstanding.
2. Service. Our waiter was fine, but I was rather irritated that my reservation wasn't enough to get a table outside. The patio was the reason we went there in the first place, so it was mildly disappointing that we had to choose between waiting 30 minutes to sit outside or sitting inside upon arrival, despite the fact that we had a reservation.
3. Price. The price was very reasonable. I've paid a lot more for a far inferior steak.

Risotto dishes were very good, and reminiscent of similar dishes we enjoy when in Verona, Italy. One included scallops that were perfectly cooked, with a browned surface that gave a slight crusty, enjoyable crunch and added to the flavor. A good choice of wines by the glass, cappuccino, and deserts including an Olive Oil Torta desert that was a first time experience and delicious. Service was quick, attentive and without mistakes.
