  • "I've been toVivace many times. I'm always pleased with my dinner. However, Saturday evening, the service was very poor. I'm not sure if they were short handed, but it seemed so. Our server was very nice, but there were several requests made ... another menu, we got 3 for 4 of us, some plain balsamic for the bread ... We had to ask more than once. Although the busboy seemed to be moving at a pretty fast and efficient pace, a server had to stand and wait with our dinners in hand while someone cleared the salad plates. Not what I'd call a well oiled machine! I haven't experienced this lack of service before. Hope it isn't the norm. I'll try again."

  • "Out of a staple like Arancini? Had to be asked multiple times for refills? But delicious Pork Osso Bucco, but only meh "beet salad". There was an odd sense of for every 2 hits there was a miss. Overall, we will go back as we've had a great experience before, so maybe it was an off night? For the veggie side dishes, I urge you to order them without the rosemary ... It imparts a very strong flavor and you lose the veggie taste."

  • "My wife and I enjoy great restaurants so I took her to Vivace. Unfortunately the experience was less than stellar. Staff was friendly and location was great but all that pales when the food disappoints. We started with the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. The taste was rubbery and had signs of being overcooked. For our main course I had the chicken and the Mrs had the sea bass. My chicken came with a steak knife which I found out was necessary to cut through my chicken which had been over seasoned with rosemary. The sea bass was well cooked but under seasoned and was garnished with Lima beans. Sad to say but we won't be coming back."

  • "I thought the food was VERY good. Had the calamari appetizer, ceasar salad, and margherita pizza. It was not cheap, but didn't taste cheap. It was Valentines day so they had a special menu, the prices were higher than the regular menu, which was expected. They were VERY busy. The waiter was kind of rushed, didn't take time to be a great waiter. (Although I did note the other waiters were taking the time to give excellent service. I am not that picky, so it was fine. I would come back here, and want to try the skirt steak next time, it looks really good!"

  • "Got there a few minutes early, told our table was not ready & wouldn't be for awhile. Sat at a table by the bar but there was no bar service. Mentioned this to the hostess who told us our table would be ready in a few minutes. 10 more minutes went by & she reluctantly took drink orders. Now we have been there 20 minutes. Finally we get a table & it's the very last booth in the back of the restaurant. Four of us crammed into a booth. We are not excessively large but we were cramped. The service was OK but had to ask for things a few times the waiter forgot. The food was o.k. but overpriced for what it was & honestly, I think I could have cooked the same meal myself with better flavors and results. There are better restaurants in the area."

  • "We tend to forget about this restaurant and head over to Laurel St. instead. However, we had a friend come into town and took him to Vivace. It has a nice atmosphere, especially if you get a booth which I prefer. They have very good pizza (which my husband loves) , but my veal scallopini was very good as well. We'll be coming back here more often. It's quite popular though, so it's a good idea to have a reservation. We've been to a wine tasting event here some time ago which was also excellent. They have happy hour as well but we avoid that as it's ridiculously crowded."

We love the food and have never been disappointed. We had chocolate martinis for dessert and I must say they were fantastic! Michael is a hands on owner and makes everyone feel special. This will continue to be our go to restaurant."

So the boss tested it, told us the reason, not enough potato, and then had it all remade. Great night all around. Salmon was spectacular. One note: the kids chicken strips are incredible."
