  • "For eggs, potatoes, and OJ, including parking, tax, and tips... We paid a little less than a $100, which is even high for SF standards. The space felt very cramped because the room is small and the ceiling are very low. This is our first and last time at this restaurant. If you happen to be staying at this hotel, stay in your room and order room service. Everyone else, there is no intelligent reason to eat at this place."

  • "Vitrine is off the street - way off the street on the 4th floor of the St. Regis Hotel. I have had lunch and brunch and have not had a bad meal yet. The chef is a very talented. Diners should pay attention to the subtle flavors of the meal. The dining room is decorated in mostly white. Chairs are covered in a luxuriously soft fabric. Tables are spaced well apart. The staff is very friendly and makes guests feel welcome. My only complaint is service which sometimes tends to be slow. We were puzzled by the staff's absence at times. Vitrine is highly recommended by me!"

  • "Enjoyed the brunch at Vitrine. It was quiet, service was excellent, great food and presentation. However, it is very expensive, especially the tea and coffee at $7 per pot. You definitely pay a premium for dining in the St Regis. We ordered the black truffle frittata and the Russian version of eggs benedict (with caviar), as well as a basket of pastries. All delicious and a lot of it so we enjoyed some of the pastries at home later. Recommended, but only when you're feeling flush."
