"i've been to vitrine a few times before so i know that the service can and has been so much better -- our waiter this time was fine at first but then he became absentee and neglectful. in fact at some point my friend had to get up herself to grab a pitcher of water because we had none left at all for over 15 minutes! the food was spectacular (the fare is light so don't go too hungry!) but what kind of restaurant doesn't offer a dessert menu after a meal or ask if you want any other drinks or anything? if i hadn't been there before and know how good it can be i wouldn't bother to go back. i was incredibly disappointed this time and hope that this was just a case of one bad server vs. a new level of service."

"Slow service -- took about 5 minutes to get our first visit in a mostly empty restaurant during normal hours. $23 burger (or was it $26?) that just wasn't that much better than a decent chain restaurant. I've paid $50 for an amazing burger and would do it again, but this made me wish I'd gone to In-n-out."
