ViragoPerfect Birthday dinnerI made reservations for myself and my husband a month out for my birthday dinner. We got sat at a great outdoor patio table w an amazing view of downtown. The food was top notch! We will b back! Perfect evening : )5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently outstanding! We know we will always have an outstanding meal and great time here. Seafood is excellent, always the fresh. Beautiful presentation, attentive service and knowledgeable wait staff.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in Nashville! We dine weekly at Virago, as they have the best sushi in town - hands down. For our anniversary, they treated us like royalty and gave us special treatment, providing us with complimentary treats and dessert - great place, wonder staff. Not to be missed!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AM4 starstook my lady on a sat. night for mothers day. Atmosphere was great. We felt as if we had been transported to New York. It was a bit noisy due to the DJ but i liked the trance he was playing with.We got the chef's choice & loved it,especiallt cooking the wagyu on the rock at our table. The mushrooms were a bit salty and the tofu was, well, tofu. Everything else was great. Highly reccommended!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBuzzing Taste BudsEverything was impeccably prepared and outstanding presentation. KatanaHawaii-five-o, and the Bomb were incredible. We ordered way too much but could not stop. Great sake selection and the cucumber/kiwi drink was the best drink ever!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Patio and Sushi in NashvilleNeed to call ahead to get patio seating, but it's pretty amazing.
It might not be the cheapest sushi in Nashville, but it's hard to say that anything beats their "The Bomb" roll or the dynamite shrimp app.
Accolades for the restaurant speak for itself, but have definitely resulted in having to call ahead sooner and higher prices. Still, one of the best spots in Nashville.

A do not miss!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVirago is just fabulous ifVirago is just fabulous if not a bit 'overexposed'. I love the 1/2 Monday Maki and Happy Hour Drinks. Be adventurous and you won't be disappointed. The wilder it sounds the better it tastes so go for it. The atmosphere is seductive and relaxing. Super place for a date.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a night outBest sushi I've ever had. Love the atmosphere. Very hip and modern.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI would definitely go again!Very trendy, friendly service and great food. The atmosphere was amazing.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMfabulous date nightWe had a wonderful first time experience at Virago the staff was great, but our server was out of this world. Allison was very helpful and informative about the wine list and menu. The sushi was the best that we have ever had anywhere and so very fresh, we cannot wait to go back.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fabulous experienceWe had a fabulous experience at Virago. We made a reservation for a table but the service was so spectacular at the bar that we decided to dine there. Our bartender David was very knowledgable, friendly, and charasmatic. There is no doubt that he must make many repeat customers for Virago. We were iin Nashville for a work conference and had we gone there the first night I assure you we would've been there every night. The food was amazing and very fresh.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDecor is upscale and relaxingDecor is upscale and relaxing at the same time. Service was excellent. Very easy to have a conversation. We had the duck eggrolls and an eel roll for starters, both of which were excellent. My companion had the chicken stir fry. Good, but overseasoned. I had the chicken meatballs with a side of jasmine coconut rice. I wish the meatballs hadn't had the sauce. The seasoning IN the chicken was great - but you had to get past an over-salty and very thick sauce coating the exterior. I received two pieces and didn't finish one due to the sauce. Desserts were GREAT. My friend had the doughnuts with lemongrass salt and Vietnamese creme chocolat, both great, and I had the michu trio - we both LOVED those!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPricy but totally worth it...flavorPricy but totally worth it...flavory and creative food. The waitress was really knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVirago is my favorite restaurant!Virago is my favorite restaurant! Started with yellow tail and lobster tacos. The yellow tail was so yummy we ordered a second order ($6 happy hour special). For our main we ordered the New Moon roll which was very yummy. We also shared the Stoned Steak and an order of Green Beans...both delicious and fun! Virago is a treat. $100 for 2 cocktails, 3 apps, 2 entrees and 2 wines...but we'll worth it for a special night!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience for a group.Great experience for a group. Some of the portions were a little small but overall fantastic. Would definitely go back if I lived in Nashville.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere and food!Great atmosphere and food! Brought people from CA and they were very impressed with the cuisine. Great wasabi martini's!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVirago does an excellent jobVirago does an excellent job on several fronts. Great food, great service, our server, Daniel was a great guy and did a really professional job. We had serveral different types of food, all prepared to perfection.
As the night gets later, the crowd changes to a hipper, younger crowd.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLoud and hopping on a SaturdayLoud and hopping on a Saturday night, I took three young people with me to their favorite restaurant. The food met out expectations--the V2 edamame was spicy, the grilled brussell sprouts were light and tasty, and the various sushi rolls we ordered were, according to my kids, the best in Nashville. The service was a little indifferent this time, which was unusual. The bar, visible from our overlook table, was full of the young and the beautiful, and Coach James Franklin even made an appearance.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved the feel of this place.I loved the feel of this place. It was energetic and everyone around us was having a great time. We definitely want to return to try different sushi rolls, as well as main dishes from the chef's menu. We had the delicious salmon and the stone steak. The stone steak was super fun! We will be returning.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome food and vibeA bit pricey, but the food is great, not your everyday Asian fare. The decor is beautiful, warm, inviting, with a very vibey modern twist. One gripe though..... a big screen TV playing sports that is visible all over the restaurant. It does spoil the otherwise ultracool vibe. Make up your mind Virago.... are you a fine dining establishment or a sports bar. When I'm out for a romantic dinner, I don't want the game on.... and my wife definitely doesn't want the game on.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was so attentiveOur waiter was so attentive and kind; the food was pefect, best sushi I've had.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLove ViragoGreat sushi and atmosphere. Electric and fun. Perfect for dinner only or as a kickoff to a concert or other event!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first time toThis was my first time to dine here. It was a good choice. The food was excellent, especially the Pork Belly. I would recommend Virago to anybody.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat placeI always love going to Virago, they have THE best sushi! Our server this time wasn't very attentive, at one point it took about 20 minutes to get a glass of wine. But I had a great time with friends!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to grab some fantasticGreat place to grab some fantastic food with a great, energetic bar area. Love this place!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Sushi in NashvilleOur favorite sushi in Nashville. It has never disappointed, but rather it always WOWS! I've had sushi on both coasts and throughout the U.S. and Virago is easily as good and in most cases simply better than any others.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMVirago is a very hip, happeningVirago is a very hip, happening place. Younger crowd that gets more so as the night goes on.
The food is very good however, Asian themed, great sushi rolls, and other food is excellent as well.
Service is good, can be slow at times, but it is a very varied menu with choices that run the range of cuisines.
Fun place to go and the food is unique to Nashville.12/15/2012 12:00:00 AMMaki and SamkiJamie our bartender was everything. He kept is laughing, and our glassses full. This is one of my favorite spots in Nashville and Maki Saki Mondays make it even better on the wallet!!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
