  • "My husband and I took our 3 month old here for brunch for the first time since he was born and we had such a great experience. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, the staff was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome with our baby, and the food was great! It is hard to find a great restaurant that is family friendly on Capital Hill and we will definitely be returning here often!"

  • "This was my first visit and I will definitely be back. Wonderful service. We did not have young kids in tow but were not bothered by presence of kids in the corner. It is an understated feature of the place and not a deterrent as some reviews have suggested. Great neighborhood spot and good place to take friends who enjoy Greek food."

  • "We had breakfast items, lunch items, coffee, esspresso and mimosas. All of it was great. Eggs Benedict served on latkes instead of bread was awesome. The server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant also has a rather large play area in the corner suitable for toddlers. Kept my friend's kids occupied quietly before and after they ate."

  • "This is the place to bring toddlers because of the fantastic kid's corner and family friendly vibe. There are a few tables (and a couple booths) that butt up to half walls that create the play space. It is very well designed and very clean. The front of the house is sectioned off for tables without kids and there are even seats outside so there is something for everyone. The food was very good but not why we went there. We just needed a comfortable place to relax with friends that have a two year old and not have to apologize for every little thing. Even on a Saturday, we didn't feel rushed to turn the table. Thank you Vios for filling a much needed void in the Seattle dining scene. We'll be back."

  • "This place is super kid friendly with a dedicated play area for the kids to escape to so the parents aren't hurried to finish their dinner. Only complaint was the service was extremely slow on the particular night that we ate there. "

  • "I understand that Mother's Day is a very busy time for restaurants. That said, I would think that owners, managers, staff are prepared. Our brunch got off to a slightly rocky start. We waited quite some time for our menus, water, and coffee. I know that the wait staff was slammed but waiting is not fun. Not fun when we made reservations and confirmed our reservations. It ended up being fine and the food was great. Yummy coffee. It was also a nice gesture to offer mimosa's to mothers. "

  • "Was impressed by the easy going ambience of this restaurant. The lamb souvlaki was excellent, and although I usually take home leftovers, I ate everything on my plate. I highly recommend this most comfortable place with some of the tastiest food I've had the good fortune to eat!"

  • "If you are looking for a unpretentious, clean, and friendly place that serves good and flavorful food, then Cafe Vios is a top choice. I accidentally came across this gem while driving through Capital Hill one very hungry Saturday morning. When you step in, you are immediately welcomed by a hustling and bustling kitchen. The friendly staff greeted me right away, and I was seated by the window. The menu isn't big but full of tantalizing Mediterranean fares and also traditional American brunch dishes with nice twists. This is definitely a family-friendly place. Both times I visited, someone was celebrating a birthday. The noise level is acceptable and you will leave the place odor-free. I will mostly definitely be going back soon!"

  • "We celebrated the baptism of our newborn baby at Vios Café. We had a large group and the staff was very accommodating and helpful to all of us. The food was excellent and the servers were all very charming. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant."

  • "This is a family-oriented restaurant with large portions and a readily provided children's menu. It also has a play area for kids, so many families dine here. If you want a date night at a Greek restaurant, I'd suggest something else, but if you want to gather the family for a celebration, this is your spot. We had the Lamb Souvlaki (skewers) and shared the roasted cauliflower. Both were seasoned nicely. The staff is familiar with food allergies and happy to accommodate most menu items, but not all of the ingredients are listed in the menu, so be sure to have the server confirm the items. I highly recommend making a reservation several days in advance if you bring a group, because the restaurant felt full within minutes of opening."

  • "We had a wonderful brunch at Vios Capitol Hill. The mushroom, sage and Manouri cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes and grilled bread was so good. And what could be better than a server who was so welcoming, gracious, and knowledgeable - thank you Ann! Will definitely go again!"

  • "We chose this restaurant because it was close to the venue for a concert we were attending, and it worked out perfectly. Our party of 4 had the gyros, lamb souvlaki, flank steak and prawns special. All were very good, though the lamb was slightly overcooked, and the skewers were a little small. The wine list was not long, but we found a very suitable sangiovese to share. The service was excellent. We told our waiter about our concert starting time, and he made sure the timing worked, and even came by a little before the time we needed to leave to make sure we could get our check settled in time."

  • "We are soooo lucky to have this fab restaurant in our neighborhood! And it was truly a great place to dine on New Years Eve en route to a party. Not only is the food gourmet- and as ex-NYers, we're kinda fussy- but the staff and the warmth that they give the restaurant make it our favorite time and again! Thanks Tomas, Jorge ET al!!"

  • "We live in the neighborhood and love Vios, but that appreciation was reinforced this weekend when we met some friends visiting from out of town for brunch there. It was great because our two young sons could play in the kid area while we were able to have a uninterrupted conversation with our friends. Our boys loved the waffles; we loved the shashuka and eggs benedict we got (the latke base is a nice alternative to an English muffin, at least for my gluten-free sweetie). Highly recommend this place if you want good food and you have kids in tow."

  • "This is the best place in Seattle to bring kids. The food is delicious, the play area is great, and the waiters are very kid-friendly."
    Dined on 12/22/2013
  • "There is a play area for kids, which makes this a great choice for young families. But those of us who would rather dine sans the kiddie screeches find it a bit annoying. That said, the food is delicious, the flavor profiles deep and luscious -- generally. There are a few dishes that fall flat, but I really have enjoyed most dishes I have ordered. There is one waiter who upsells quite a bit and we were disappointed with the wine he suggested."

  • "I recall going there when they opened about 8 or 9 years ago and remembered it was just fantastic healthy greek food. To this day I go there at least once a month and am always delighted by the food and service. Its so great to have an dependable, excellent restaurant in walking distance"

  • "As a parent with 2 small kids, Vios is a rare find - a restaurant with truly delectable food, warm and consistant service, and kid-friendly atmosphere. It's hard to find a place that serves healthy, delicious food for both kids and adults. But you don't have to bring kids to enjoy Vios. I would recommend it for groups, dates, business lunches, family gatherings...you can't go wrong. Bottom line - food is fantastic and the place is full of heart and soul. Go now!"

  • "We come back again and again to the friendly, welcoming team at Vios. There is hands down no better place in Seattle where the adults can eat a delicious meal and the kids are happy, full-bellied, and entertained. And the team at Vios does a good job of seating the families near the play area so people without kids can eat in the quieter front area."

  • "Embarrassingly, I live on North Capital Hill and many times has passed VIOS on the way home. It's always busy and looks inviting. This past weekend with friends in town, we stopped in for dinner and where rewarded with a wonderful experience. The food was very good as well as the service. OK, I admit have previously enjoyed lunch and several quiet afternoon coffee's, which are equally nice."

  • "Three of us had dinner on Saturday prior to a concert in the neighborhood. This was the first time there for all of us, but definitely not the last! Greek salad, lamb and chicken souvlaki, a bottle of wine, and two desserts -- all superb. Fast, friendly service too. I'm glad we made reservations because the place was packed."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner on a Wednesday night with seven adults and 4 kids (5yr,3yr,14mos,9mos). They have great long tables for large groups and plenty of highchairs. The waitstaff was excellent with the group and kids. HUGE bonus that they have a kid area - toys, books, little chairs, this place is stocked! Also great facilities for baby changing. The food was delicious and they had many options to please a variety of eaters (kid, veg, meat, etc.) Service wasn't super speedy but worth the wait for their food. Already planning on coming back with our PEEPS group next time."

  • "We had a very enjoyable evening at Vios Cafe. The food was enjoyed by both adults and children ages 13 and 10. The service was first-rate and we felt that we got great value for the money. The whole family agreed that this was a "come again" restaurant!"

  • "I am so lucky to have this restaurant in my neighborhood. We have eaten there 2x this week when it was too hot to cook in our kitchen. The other night the windows were open and people were walking in and taking tables inside and outside, I was reminded of one of my fondest memories of Rome. Our hotel was was in a neighborhood and we walked and stumbled across a restaurant with tables and lights and families gathered. We took a table and were surrounded by local people in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It was the most charming evening of my trip. This is what Vios brings to me."

  • "I've never been to a place that has a play area for the kiddos, this makes for a very loud and exciting dining experience - which was perfect. The service was great, the wait staff showed interest in making sure everyone was happy (you could tell they actually like having all the kids around) they all said hello to the children. Overall the place is very accommodating for families. Great food options for the little ones and the rest of us. The Trio Sampler plate was delicious as great size to share and the chicken souvlaki had the most amazing slow roasted tomatoes. The chocolate salted caramel custard was very satisfying for dessert. You can't beat $20 bottles of wine either!"
