Vintage Twelve at Kingston Plantation Resort
Not worth the priceI expected the ocean view restaurant to be top floor or very romantic, it was connected to same area where the free breakfast is with a bottom floor ocean view. Food was outstanding though6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGourmet Dining at the Beach? There is actually something other than heavy, sauce laden Italian, greasy fried seafood buffets and dull slabs of meat to choose from at the beach now. We found this hidden treasure through Opentable. The drink menu is inventive and the Elderflower Collins is one of the best drinks I have ever had. The Charleston Flatbread appetizer has a subtle smoky flavor in the Pimento Cheese. I've had the fresh catch of the day on several occasions and it has always been delicate and healthy. The fish is usually fresh off the docks from Murrell's Inlet. Many ingredients are locally sourced and the freshness shows. Stunning oceanfront views. Hard to find in hotel. Needs better signage. Definitely worth the price point.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemGo while you can still get a table because when people find about this place it will be a BIG hit.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe decided on this restaurantWe decided on this restaurant because of the billboard ad saying it was fine dining on the ocean front. Unfortunately, not many restaurants are built to utilize the ocean view. This definitely had a great ocean view.
We were a little disappointed in the fish we ordered -- Amber Jack. It seemed a bit salty. We were also hoping for more vegetables to be served with the entrees. Everyone is encouraged to eat vegetables these days, but we find that they are still scarce at many restaurants. Over all it was a pleasant evening, and we would definitely try to get there another time.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExtremely fresh and delicious,Extremely fresh and delicious, the view was wonderful and the food just made the night.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMsimple great tastesclam cioppino is EXCELLENT. the crab cakes were sooo purely CRAB -best I've had.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food and amazing view!We visited as soon as they opened, so we were actually the first people to sit. There was only one other table by the time we left, so I can't speak much to the vibrancy of the place when it gets busy. But our experience was perfect. Don't let the location (inside a convention center) fool you; this place is great. First thing you notice is the amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Floor to ceiling windows show the vast expansive view. The service was exceptional. We had the fresh catch and the shrimp and grits for dinner, which was delicious. But the hush puppies with pimento fon du was AMAZING! Great place for a special occasion or romantic dinner.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMUpscale in Myrtle Beach...finally!Low Country goes gourmet and gets high praise from me. Gorgeous decor, friendly service and delicious food made for a fantastic meal. I will go back every time I'm in Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend the hush puppie appetizer. I also order the catch of the day...red snapper cooked to perfection.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticWe searched this out on Open Table, OMG was one of the best meals we had eating out in a long time. We had the grouper and it was certainly picked fresh that morning as promised. The bread was awesome, Waiter was awesome, hidden gem for sure and already booked to go back next week. Deserts all home made (peach cobbler) - hats off to the chef, she will end up owning her own famous restaurant soon! Fresh homemade food is SOOOOO hard to find! We found it !5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a Surprise!Found this surprise last summer using Opentable. Hard to find as it is practically hidden at the back of the Embassy Suites. Don't let the location fool you. As soon as you turn the corner, you feel like you've been transported to a big city intimate restaurant. Farm to fork concept with locally sourced ingredients. Specialty drinks are over the top, think Elderflower Gimlet, Bourbon with smoky maple syrup , unbelievable. Charleston Flatbread with pimento cheese. Crab cakes with pickled shrimp. Delicate brioche raisin bread with butter made in house. Molasses like pecan pie with chocolate sweet tea ice cream. Southern favorites raised to new levels of gourmet. The view of the ocean is spectacular. Pricey but don't miss!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a lovely experience. It was a lovely experience. The ambience and the view were the best I've ever seen in Myrtle Beach. The presentation of the various courses were impressive. I would definitely recommend it and go again.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service and foodVintage Twelve is a newer restaurant in the Embassy Suites hotel at Kingston Plantation. While we are owners at Kingston and are on property about twice a year, we had not visited it because we had an impression that it would be too expensive. We were provided with ta "two-for-one" offer and decided to give it a try. We found that our impressions were wrong. The food is well-prepared, with a low country flair, and reasonably priced. The wines are above average (as are the prices). The view of the Atlantic is unbeatable and the service was top notch. We will be returning on a future visit!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, excellentExcellent food, excellent service, overall great experience.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMJust the Two of UsAnother great meal. You have to try their Crispy Oyster Salad!,,,, it has the WOW factor. The dining room is so welcoming and of course the ocean view scenery adds to the ambiance. We took advantage again of the two for one coupon and there is no way you can get such great food anywhere else at this price.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and drink were wonderful,The food and drink were wonderful, and the view of the ocean was fantastic.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday DinnerThis was our first experience at Vintage Twelve. The service, ambiance, decor and food were absolutely superb. The rack of lamb was delicious and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. We would definitely return to try some of the other items on the menu. Great dining.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgenius in the kitchenCreative cuisine featuring local ingredients. The chef's an artist regarding presentation, the portions are impressively generous and the view of the shore is gorgeous.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
