Vintage Bar and GrillWe had a wonderful dinnerWe had a wonderful dinner at Vintage Bar. The tuna appetizer was delicious. The lamb entree was very tender and cooked perfectly. Bananas Foster was the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service. Too much nThe food and service were very good. The menu as well.
The noise level in the dining area,
(not even the Bar area, where you might expect extra noise) bordered on unbearable.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious aged steaks and moreMy favorite place for steaks. They are consistently delicious and tender. Their Thai Calamari are another favorite. There are several dining rooms, so you can eat in the barroom or the quieter main dining room, as you prefer. A private room is also available for small groups.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNice, quiet placeNice, local and quiet. Highly recommended to those in the Syosset/Jericho area for good food. No where else in the area serves as great of food with some great drinks5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful and Delicious!!Wonderful ambiance with a warm old world flair. An incredible menu that has great variety so everyone in the family or among friends can dine on what they are in the mood for.The staff is professional and the food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! We first discovered this place 2 weeks ago and have been there 4 times.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA great hot spotFor some reason there is restaurant turnover in this location. Vintage is a gem it's here to stay. Everything from the service to the food was top notch Saturday night. I'm already planning my next visit. The tuna appetizer was delicious as well as the salmon entree . I highly reccomend Vintage.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful evening!Lovely food in a wonderful space! Management is great! Wait staff wonderful!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. UpscaleFood was excellent. Upscale restaurant, prices were reasonable5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingFrom the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing meal that included seafood and steak. Highly recommend the seafood bisque, angry spaghetti, shrimp scampi and any cut of steak. The truffle fries were to die for. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the decor simple and sophisticated. Highly recommend!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a winnerGotta have the duck tacos. Prime rib on bone, omg!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMShould get more for your moneyVie went for resturant week, I feel it was silly to make you pay 3 dollars extra for a tiny piece of choclate cake and other things on the price fix menu. The whole point is to pay one price right? Portions were small too. Music was loud , we were in a private room and we were the only ones in the resturant initially. Once the room filled up it got really loud. Food was delicious and the staff was attentive and charming. Overall nice experience but pricey main menu and loud.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Vintage revives an old locationReally good, steaks and sushi excellewnt, and keeps getting better!
Attentive service, owner is hands on and makes an effort to speak to and listen to the clientele.
Quality of food and presentation is at the forefront.
Can get loud, especially in the bar area, and when the dining room has a number of 6-tops occupied.
Will def. go back!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was delicious. ServiceFood was delicious. Service was good but rushed. Immediately upon sitting down, the waiter came over to take our drink order. We hadn't had a moment to look at the drink or wine menu. We asked him for a moment and he hovered until we were ready. After bringing us or drinks he immediately told us the specials and then wanted to take our dinner orders. Again, we had not even looked at our menus. We told him to give us some time and again he hovered until we were ready. Now the meal itself was not rushed and nicely paced. Also the noise level was extremely high. It is very expensive. We each had 2 drinks, the two women each had 2 appetizers and the men each had an appetizer and an entree. 1 dessert. 2 cappuccionos. $163 per couple w/tip.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good steakhouse withVery good steakhouse with some nice non-steak entrees to choose from. The staff is very accomodating. Wine list prices are reasonable. Will defintiely go back. I believe they recently opened and in time will be develop to a five star restaurant like their St. James location.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen we checked in and wereWhen we checked in and were told that our table was being cleared and we would be seated in about 10 minutes. We walked into the bar (which also has a dining area) and the noise was unbearable. Upon hearing the volume of we checked to make sure our table was not in the bar area. We were seated shortly and the dining area was quiet.
The food was excellent from appetizers (shrimp cocktail and Tuna Tartar) to dinner (scallops and rib steak) and dessert (apple cobbler and coffees) and the service was equally good.
Great place, great food but noise is a big issue.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWell done. The music startedWell done. The music started a bit too loud for my taste but when the room filled up I didn't notice it. Great service, lively crowd. Short ribs looked good and our fish was excellent. We'll go back. Hopefully, Vintage can make a go of at this location.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely decor, good food, attentiveLovely decor, good food, attentive staff, but both too loud and too expensive (in general, but also in relation to portion size). Vegetables should come with the entrees (and would make a better presentation, no doubt, in addition). The wine was odd or off (pinot noir that did not seem like one). Friendly waiter spoke too quickly and so was hard to be heard in noisy small venue. Given the typical age of those in the rooms (I looked), quieting down the restaurant should be a priority and also healthy and included sides (vegetables or salads).4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe steaks are still as specialThe steaks are still as special as in the old place (Fulton and Prime), but I love the new dishes on the menu when i don't want beef. Busy and a little noisy on Friday night, but the food and service are always excellent.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMit was our first time at Vintage...it was our first time at Vintage... we were a party of 8 and enjoyed our dinning
experience very much~Mark the manager was gracious.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIn a location that has beenIn a location that has been a literally revolving door for many restaurants, Vintage Grill seems to have made its stake (and steak) in this well-travelled spot. The decor is warm and inviting - it is both femine and masculine. There is a room by the bar where the scene is vibrant and energetic. The room to the side is elegant and refined. And there is a well hidden spot by the kitchen that provides a more intimate setting.
The menu items from the appetizers to the main course were excellent!!! This is a serious contender and should be on everyone's list of places to go without making a trip into the city.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a last minute standIt was a last minute stand in find! (thank you Open Table!) when another original choice was closed for renovations. Co-workers and boss in tow- but everyone was happy- good wine and good food. The only item disappointing was the crab cake in the appetizers because it was too much dark meat and fishy instead of the light white crab chunk meat style at many shore communities (this was not at the shore, so it may have been a preference) -- but one co-worker is a chef and she was pleased with her filet mignon and poivre sauce -- so a very good mark!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
