  • "Vintage 423 offers a classic, chic decor coupled with an outstanding menu and wine list that, at first, made choosing what to eat difficult, followed by thoroughly enjoying what I did end up eating. For the appetizer, I had the crab cakes with mango relish. This was a good, petite appetizer, but the thin coating seemed to dominate the flavor as the crab didn't have much flavor. Still good, though. I had the Surf and Turf for my main course, which was exquisite. The 6 oz. filet, cooked medium-rare, was magnificent! The crab/stuffing-stuffed shrimp and accompanying vegetables were also well displayed and very tasty. Last but not least, was the Chocolate Decadence. Yum! The wines I sampled were also very good. I fully recommend Vintage 423!"

  • "Food was excellent. Best sea bass I ever had. The seasoned olive oil served with bread was a pleasant surprise. Waiter was phenomenal."

  • "The reason I only gave this restaurant 3 stars is because the chicken was dry and inedible. Waiter was aware and said he would tell the chef but did not remove the charge until the group voiced their dissapproval. A special birthday request was made with the reservation but the waiter was not aware of it until the group spoke up. We ate outside and the traffic noise was loud."

  • "Had to ask for table to be wiped clean (outside table, windy day), lettuce was old, brown on the edges, wilted and drowning under the weight of the balsamic vinaigrette. Was that ham in the cordon bleu?"

  • "After a lot of consideration we chose Vintage423 for our father's day early dinner/late lunch; 330pm. Usually the food makes up for any poor service or potentially loud atmosphere, however, this was not the case. We ordered the calamari for our appetizer, which was poorly crafted with very little if any breading and over cooked leaving us chewing on rubber. Then my wife asks if she can have scallops with a side of pasta, which was not on the lunch menu, but was on the dinner menu which started at 4pm. We were told that the kitchen didn't have anything prepared for dinner service yet so they would not accommodate our request. I ordered the Diablo frutti de mare: which ironically came with scallops. But was disgusting and way overpriced. .."

  • "Went for a business dinner and absolutely loved it! Our table was amazing, our server was prompt and attentive, and the food was FANTASTIC! A little pricey but so very worth it! If you are looking to make a great impression Vintage 423 is the way to go! The only downside was that the place was far too nice for me to loosen my belt after eating all of the wonderful food!"

  • "Carrie was our server and made the evening memorable! She suggested a wine that was excellent (Slingshot Cab) and I had three people with me for their birthdays (June 3,4,5) that I took on June 4 which she brought dessert for. I couldn't get her to sing happy birthday :-), but everything else she did would make me go back. Chicken Fettuccine was very good, the 9 oz. filet I was told was excellent as were the meatball dinner and pear salad. I did have to request a dinner roll which Carrie brought out immediately with a dish of olive oil but I would recommend that be a standard accompaniment. "

  • "The best waitress and superb food, but the dining area booths are not suited for a twosome."

  • "I suppose if Albuquerque had any "see and be seen" places this would be one of them. The crowd is usually mixed and diverse (hard to come by in this city) and generally good-looking, but the food is what I come for. For the most part I've not been disappointed - though I almost always order steak which they do well. Friends have ordered pasta/risotta and that has left them always disappointed, but the salads, (green chile) mashed potatoes, and fish offerings are hits. The drinks are delicious and strong. I've come here for birthdays, for happy hour, for funsies, and always a good time has been had. "

  • "This was our first time at Vintage. When we arrived we were immediately greeted and taken to our table. The waiter was friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was attentive to our every need. The food was EXCELLENT! Since we were dining on a Monday, our bottle of wine was half price and they re-corked what we didn't drink to take home with us. From the appetizer to the dessert, all was prepared perfectly. This is a definite repeat and we highly recommend it."

  • "This eatery is fast becoming my favorite go to place: great hang out spot for dinner, or drinks, with the girls; romantic spot to dine with the Honey; and an excellent spot to have a business luncheon! The service is consistently great, and the food is wonderful and varied. Next time you're not sure where to dine try Vintage 423! You'll love it -- promise. Enjoy!"

  • "We went to Vintage 423 to trying to find a change in venue in the Albuquerque area. A friend had recommended Vintage to my wife, so I went on the net, found their website, and was impressed. We got a 06:45 pm dinner reservation got there and everything was pretty much as advertised on the website. At 07:00 pm the background music doubled in volume and switched to Rave. We're over 50 and don't do Ecstasy so the music didn't work for us. The food was alright, nothing to write home about, and the service was slow. Considering the size of the bar and the Friday night after work crowd, I assume the bar is the restaurant's money maker. Anyway, we might go back in the future but will definitely get a patio table and go earlier in the day. "

  • "THE RESTRAUNT WAS JUMPING ON SATERDAY NIGHT. SO MUCH , WE ASKED, FOR A MORE QUIET PLACE TO SIT. WE WERE ACOMMEDIATED. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. WE WILL RETURN AGAIN. WE WILL HAVE TO TRY LUNCH. "

  • "Our waiter was professional. I never had an empty water glass. My wife had a martini and as soon as it was empty, our waiter was there asking if she wanted a refill. She wanted a glass of wine, so he brought over the wine list. She ordered her wine and it was served to her quickly. My wife ordered her usual pasta dish and she loved it. I ordered the duck and it was very good. Whenever we wanted our waiter, he was at our table. The only problem was a small problem. My duck comes with cooked baby carrots and brussel sprouts. I asked for raw carrots, which I have had it the passed. When my dinner came, the carrots were cooked and the sprouts were missing. Our waiter brought my sprouts immediately. I ate the cooked carrots."

  • "Food and wine were delicious. Place was very empty for a Saturday night. Service was quite good but pushy. When we declined dessert, we were repeatedly asked if we were sure about our decision, which felt awkward. "

  • "We were early for a Saturday night reservation, but were seated promptly. Service was a little forced at first, as waiter started to take the wine glasses because we were waiting to order wine based on our entree selections. He gave us as much time as we needed and was prompt in getting the bottle to us when ordered. Food was quick, maybe a a little quick, but not out of order. We both had sea food dishes that were prepared and presented very well. I did have one clam that did not open and should have been caught by kitchen, but remainder were good. Very tasty and good portions on both entrees. We will return."

  • "You pay for class and Vintage has to be the best upscale restaurant that I've eaten at by far from those in Texas, Cali, Atl, Key West. There's at least one spot in ABQ that's worth the time and money."

  • "We had 4 couples looking for a nice relaxed dining experience on a Sunday afternoon. What a find - and in our own backyard! Food was excellent without being heavy. Service was attentive. We had a very quiet area in which we could converse and enjoy."

  • "This was my second visit to Vintage 423. Each time the food for all 3 of us was mostly excellent. Service the first time was very good, but the second time was marginal. Price was about right; not inexpensive, but not exorbitant. For the most part though, this is not a place for the 'over 40s'. The lounge/bar seemed to be the primary target for the customer base. What got my attention was the uniformed security/bouncer checking IDs at the bar. Hmmmm. And the noise level in the dining area was a bit high. So I may go back for a mid-week casual meal with my wife, but I doubt I'll go back for a nice Saturday night dinner."

  • "I've been driving past this restaurant for quite some time and finally decided to try it. I was not disappointed. I like restaurants that are high on service, quality food, and a personal touch. I want to feel welcome and I certainly felt that at Vintage. We were seated early for our 7pm reservation. We will visit again."

  • "Great service from J.- very friendly and professional and he loves working at Vintage. Food was good and good portions (we had salmon & Aegan Penne. The chocolate mousse cake is definitely good for at least 2 to 3 people - we would recommend it. I think Vintage is better for group dinner - nice ambience. The cost is on the higher side, especially the drinks (wine)."

  • "While the restaurant is a bit pricey, the food and service were well worth it for a special occasion! The speciality drinks were good, the food was great, and the ambiance was delightful. We were a group of 7 and they sat us in a large round booth area which was somewhat isolated. For a large group this was especially nice since we were all able to converse. Another first for us…they "offered" to split the ticket! That was great!"

  • "Like a little tighter service, not so much time delay between when you see the waiter and when you don't. I'll be right back should not translate to 5 min. Oh well, dinner entrée, salad, good. Crab cakes not so good."

  • "The over all look of the restaurant is very nice which is why we dicided to go. Soon we realized the tables were so close together that the waiters were tripping over each other and my girlfriend and I were getting bumped into as we were eating. The service was moderate at best and my meal was over cooked. for being as expesive as the food was I was expecting it to be cooked right. The food tasted averge but to be fair I didn't order the steak which is what they are known for. Finally it was so loud that we had to yell to hear each other. Very disappointed and definately not worth the money!"

  • "Tuesday at Vintage had a happing bar scene but a little empty in the dining room. This made for a quiet group dinner which was perfect for us. All of the food was excellent. Bacon wrapped quail is a definite favorite. Steaks were excellent as were the soups. Even the tortilla chips and guacamole had a special freshness and flavor. Not quite 5 stars because there was a systemic lack of a complete offering. 2 beers were out of stock. So was a few tequila and the wine we wanted. A few little slip-ups on service but nothing awful. Our server was great and fun."
