"Vinoteque is one of our favorite restaurants. We always feel welcome by the staff, in particular, the host/sommelier Ryan. With his warm demeanor and lilting Irish accent, he is the best. I always let him choose the wine and he's never been wrong. The food is fun and it changes regularly. I highly recommend the gnocchi, the sliders, the risotto, the mizzuna salad with rosemary popcorn and citrus--pretty much everything."

"It was my husband's birthday and the dinner was just for the two of us. The owner of the restaurant made our evening super special. You must go and see the lock and key concept they brought to the restaurant from Italian old traditions. My husband and I locked our love at the door-step!"

"Tapas style menu provided opportunity to taste many savory dishes artfully presented and flavorful to eat. The pei mussels were exceptional and formed a soup upon eating them. The scottish salmon and cremini mushrooms were also delightful."

"The food was good but nothing extraordinary.

The service was friendly. And the wine we ended up drinking was very nice (my first 2 choices were sold out).

So why 3 stars? Because The food choices are quite limited. Surprisingly limited for a tapas restaurant. And given the small portions for $10 - $15 each I'd expect exceptional preparations, some surprise and delight, but instead it was average to good. 2 people $110 NOT including wine.

But it's a wine house you say, so food is secondary. OK, then why is the wine list so short? I've been to many regular restaurants with better wine lists. Example: French reds - only 7 choices, a few of which are in the +$200 range.

Bottom line: Yes I did enjoy myself. No, I see no reason to"

"Food - average. Goat Cheese salad was awesome. I would have bought one more dish but all other items were disappointing. I didn't want to waste any more money for something over-priced. The Scallop Risotto was the worst dish. It tasted like baked rice (dry) and the marble sized scallops tasted a bit off. The popcorn salad is a joke. A tiny hint taste of rosemary in popcorn and that on a salad was just odd. This place is good for going out to have some wine and maybe one dish to have with it. I wouldn't recommend having dinner. The server never once asked how we were doing or observed our table to see if we need anything. If I was lucky he was looking at my direction, I had to flag him down. It wasn't busy and he would walk by many times"
