Diner Reviews
  • "I have been at Vino at the Landing several times. The food is good and they have a pretty good selection of wine. I always enjoy the bacon wrapped dates and flatbreads. Unfortunately, the service is inconsistent and I have had more than one discourteous waiter. My waiter last time had the worst attitude. I had recommended this place to my friends and was a little embarrassed that it was not a good experience for them. I am not sure I would recommend it again."

  • "Making the reservation was very easy using Open Table. The service was great, food was very good and the wine list was amazing. Wished I had asked about whole bottles, popular was the 3-wine combinations. The music was great, easy to listen to while eating/drinking. The adjoining room with larger tables keeps the large groups with lots of talking away from the smaller more intimate tables, they even have a fireplace with two love seats near by. The pear vinaigrette salad was delicious, fresh, just the right sweetness and large enough for two of us to share with dinner."

  • "I have dined here a few times. I really like the atmosphere and live music on Saturday night. My girlfriends and I went here for a Girls Night Out and they were looking to try a new wine bar so I suggested Vino. We were seated right away which was good. However, our server was not the best. She would disappear for long stretches of time and was visibly annoyed when we were not ready to order within seconds of sitting down. The food was also questionable - both pasta and flatbread were dry. The balsamic reduction was amazing though! Once finished eating our bills were brought without asking if we wanted more win (we did) or dessert (we did). We did appreciate she split the bill up for you. Overall Vino was definitely lacking. "

  • "Went on a night they had a Live Jazz band, the noise level was a little loud and hard to hear people talking over the music. The wine and food was great and we had a great server. Overall great experience and will come back for sure."

  • "and a bit more upscale restaurant. With the furniture, should go with the neighborhood bar scene, continue a focus on small plate, good middle price wines and craft beers. The guitarist would have been fun, if we hadn't been celebrating and been seated right in from of the speaker."

  • "Good food, great wine. Horrible service. Had to chase down some to get me a to go box, and again chase down someone for our bill. Neither attempts were our actual server who we only saw once. (they were too busy chatting on the other side of the restaurant) Very disappointed, good food is not worth the bad service."

  • "We had a great time! The appetizers were great for groups to share, great selection in general! We will be back."

  • "My girlfriends and I met for drinks. We had appetizers (popcorn with truffle oil, mac and cheese, hummus, dates wrapped in bacon and crab and artichoke (?) dip). All of which were very yummy! We all had wine and the server was very knowledgeable. Would definitely go back."

  • "This is the second special occasion I have celebrated at Vino. I love the customer service, the food is always fabulous, and you can never go wrong with the wine selection. The specials are well thought out, intriguing, and satisfying. I always reserve the table and couch next to the fire place to ensure a comfy, amazing experience. Well worth it every time!"

  • "Love the wine, love the food, like the owner and love the servers! Great food (mac and cheese, bruschetta and pastas are my kids favorites); I personally like the 'Not so Cobb Salad)! And the wine flights make it so convenient to try different wines (European, Napa, WA) - and identify the right bottle for rest of the evening. Check it out - you will not be disappointed!"

  • "Wasn't thrilled w/the service. They made us stand at the door forever and it wasn't even busy. We didn't even get greeted when we first came in. . . we just stood there for what felt like forever. Food was just okay."

  • "A decent restaurant in the heart of Renton - and close freeway access. A perfect compromise for Seattle-ites to meet up with south-end friends and family. Weird mall-like location doesn't diminish the fun wine-centric atmosphere, and plenty of free parking."

  • "I've been to Vino at the Landing several times and have not been disappointed :o) It's a favorite place to meet with friends and "catch up". The Panini sandwiches are always a great choice (my favorites). The salads and appetizers are delicious too! They have an excellent selection of wine and also offer many wine flights for those who prefer to sample a variety. Service was well-timed and friendly, prices are affordable. Try it, you'll like it!"

  • "I assumed that Vino at the Landing was associated with the nearby Vino Ristorante Italiano where I have enjoyed several meals over the years. Apparently I was mistaken, & there have been some ownership changes. That's why I was surprised (and so sad) to see such a limited & unimaginative menu of easy-to-prepare items like chicken curry wrap, chicken pesto penne, and BBQ chicken flatbread ... beef stew was as ambitious as the menu got. The pasta dishes we ordered were edible, if unexciting, but salads and bruschetta each came drowning in swirls of balsamic vinaigrette. We wanted the Vino we remembered, but we got an evening spent perched on hard stools, beside walls with scraped paint & cheap coffee-shop art eating passable food. Sigh."

  • "Convenient place to pop in before seeing a movie at The Landing. Cheese platter was very nice as well as the wine. Pizza Margherita was a disapointment though. Side room was rather noisy."

  • "Met colleagues after hours for more project discussions over a glass of wine. Great menu and appetizers. At 6pm on a sunny day it was a little too loud inside to have a great conversation amongst 7 people. We should have asked for a table in the "barrel room" which is just off the main dining room and would have been more conducive to our discussion. Great place if you're just chatting with a couple of friends and don't mind a bit of noise."

  • "We love meeting here to listen to mellow guitar strains or a jazz trio play while we nosh on perfect Artichoke dip, munch delectable truffle popcorn, and sip excellent wines. The service is outstanding - everyone is so nice!"

  • "This is a very hip restaurant in a trendy part of Renton. Excellent, friendly service and delicious flat breads. We especially liked the artichoke Parmesan d and the hummus and homemade nachos. We took our server's recommendation for dessert: white chocolate cherry bread pudding--amazing. Would definitely recommend."

  • "Went here with friends for my birthday. Great experience. There was a little issue when the check came. It was out first time going to a wine bar and apparently, you have to SPECIFY that you want a half glass. We ordered many glasses of wine and got a little sticker shock when the check came. Other than that, great!"

  • "Perhaps the greatest popcorn in the history of the world.Tremendous selection of wines.Great selection of appetizers and small plate meals. The jazz trio that night was excellent.Service rivaled the popcorn and wine selection."

  • "went here for my monthly date with my sisters and we had a great time, food was good, wine was great, nice place to hangout and have "grown-up time" we will deffinatly be visiting again. Only issue was that we sat right in front of the band so it was kind of lound but we could still have a conversation."

  • "Not worth the stop. Wine list is limited to local no-names. Service is spotty. I purchased a recommended bottle of local Cab , and when refreshed my glass the waitress claimed that "local law profits" filling your glass beyond a certain level". While I agree that for enjoyment of the bouquet of a good wine that less is more, I was finishing off the bottle and poured more than my normal amount into my glass as a final prep to getting our check."

  • "Went to Vino's with a friend for lunch and greeted with a sign saying "Seat yourself" which gave us an idea of the level of service we could expect. The menu had a good selection of options and prices were fair. We had wraps which were tasty but a little heavy on the tortilla side. The place looked nice but was a little worn-down - we sat at a tall bistro table which was hard to get on and off of and moved as we ate because it was uneven. Our waitress was over-casual, and seemed more interested in spending time with other staff. This place could be a really nice place for lunch if the level of service and ambiance was worked on, but it is obviously more of a place to come for happy hours where that doesn't matter."

  • "This place is a real find and I hesitate to let you know - I do enjoy it so and would hate for it to become overcrowded and overtaxed. We go there for the food and the atmosphere - tapas and appetizers are all great - haven't been disappointed yet. Don't come here if you are in a hurry (unless you are willing to ask for unusually fast service). Really good food isn't fast food, ya know."
