  • "We were frequent Vinnie's customers for a long while when it first opened back in '87. We drifted away when it became too noisy and the atmosphere was not our style. Within the past 3 years, we decided to try it again, and were glad to see the food was still excellent and the ambience was more relaxing; we have been back a number of times since then."

  • "I have only been to Vinnie's once. The food, while tasty, wasn't all that special considering the price. The service was exceptional and Vinnie's has great ambience. All in all, I prefer Sullivan's though I am sure I will return to Vinnie's, just not as often as Sullivan's."

  • "We were surprised by the 1/2 off all wine the evening we came for dinner. Server was prompt and polite and the food came out in a timely manner and very tasty. Pricey though - just the "protein" no sides included. I'd prefer to dine where everything is included, just my preference though. Definitely an improvement from the last time I dined at Vinnie's which was last year."

  • "We hadn't been to Vinnie's in a while, and left asking ourselves what was wrong with us! The strip steak was perfect and the prime rib exceptional. Side orders - mushrooms -- we could have shared, it was a very large portion. Oh salads - capresi was tasty, even though it is early season for tomatoes, and lettuce extra crispy. Great service -- not too much, not too little. We felt special and enjoyed every minute, and every morsel."

  • "Best restaurant in my neighborhood. Service is fabulous. We were so very well taken care of....water goblets stayed filled, wine goblets also. Waiters were present for our needs and very polite. These deeds were done without notice, just there ! Best steak ever! But it is that side of Mac and cheese that brings comfort to a fabulous steakhouse!!! Love Vinnies!!!"

  • "Can't say enough positive things about our recent experience at Vinnie's. The staff was very pleasant and attentive and everything we ordered from the menu was delicious. The bacon wrapped scallops were scrumptious. We don't typically order dessert but couldn't resist sharing a piece of the chocolate pie. It was so yummy! They have a very affordable wine list as well. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "We visit 1x month w/friends in groups& have always enjoyed your establishment. We have only had this 1 unpleasant dining experience. We were not confusing in our order & just taken aback by the inexperience this waitress had. She brought 1 Prime rib meal for both of us to share when we asked for 2 Prime rib dinners & a salad to share. She apologized and put his order in. 20 mins later we got his meal and his cut of beef was a bit undesirable extremely fatty! She made no attempts to rectify the situation. I would expect that from Outback, not a Restaurant such as Vinnie's! Having said that, we frequent Vinnie's Steakhouse regularly & this was this first time that we were this unhappy. Your wait staff can make all the difference in the world!"

  • "We went to celebrate Valentine's Day. We enjoyed the shrimp cocktail then moved on to salads. We both ordered the ribeye. The petite Delmonico is highly recommended. My BF ordered the King. It was a bit much. Twice baked was delicious. Finally, ended with creme brûlée. Wine and cocktails were good. Would recommend. Our server, Michael, provided excellent service and attentive."

  • "Had a very nice Valentine's Day dinner at Vinnie's. Got to say it was probably the best dinner I've had in Raleigh and we've tried most of the higher end restuarants. Steaks and Seafood was top notch and priced accordingly. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. Just an overall great experience. Will definitely been back - wish I could do it every week but have kids to put through college! Thanks again for a wonderful dinner and evening!"

I will certainly return to this location and refer it to all of my friends and family. The one thing I would say is that the dessert menu should expand a little.   • "Great service, good appetizer selection, and great selection of steaks and seafood. Steak prices range from $30 to $50 and other menu items are anywhere from $14ish to $50. They have a good wine list and also allow you to bring in personal wines for a small corking fee, which I like. We had a great oyster, collard greens and bacon appetizer followed by fillet mignon and porterhouse. The fillet was great and nicely seasoned, but the porterhouse was a little lacking in flavor, which is unusual for that cut. Overall it was a good dinner in a very traditional styled steakhouse. I'd go back but would skip the porterhouse next time."

  • "Very quaint and cozy restaurant . Server was a bit slow. Waited for water and check. Not sure if maybe he wanted to give my boyfriend and I "private time". Overall pretty nice. Pricey steak for quality. My boyfriend got the King size steak but wasn't impressed. I ordered the chicken Marsala, the butter noodles were amazing!! The chicken was good too. A lot cheaper too ^_^. Would recommend if you are looking to splurge on a fancy date."

  • "WOW!!! Fantastic!! This was our 3rd time eating at Vinnie's Steakhouse over a 3 year period. We would eat there more often but it is an hour and a half away from Pinehurst where we live. My wife had the small Delmonico ribeye and I had the bone-in Dry Aged Delmonico. Both were the best steaks we have ever been served anywhere with no exceptions. I am making arrangements to take another couple with us to go back next week. Definitely 5 STAR!!"

Had a wide vsriety of sides and the menu had a wide variety to choose from including seafood, italian and steak. My wife is very hard to please and was more than satisfied."

  • "Hubs and I have an energetic 19-month-old and super busy schedules. So when we get the rare chance to enjoy a date night, we feel obligated to make the most of it. Vinnie's Steakhouse did not disappoint! Pecan-crusted scallop amuse-bouche, sesame-seared tuna, châteaubriand with bordelaise and bearnaise sauces, twice baked potato and creamed spinach. The highlight (beyond the company, of course) was the most perfect rosemary ice cream with my apple duxelle. The texture was so creamy and flawless. Such a yummy dinner! Mmmm mmm mmm... Oh! And, the service was thoughtful, deliberate and impeccable from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. We could tell that everyone genuinely enjoyed working there. Highly recommend!"

  • "Went there for my birthday. We were quickly seated, had a nice cocktail, and looked over the menu. Settled on our order - my son had the fillet with sautéed mushrooms, Caesar salad, and twice baked potatoe. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye, Caesar salad, and steak fries. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine since it was a Tuesday night and wines were half off. Everything was just fantastic. We will definitely be back!!!"

  • "We went for a Monday evening meal with some friends and the meal was wonderful, the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice. Having loved Vinnies through the several owners, this owner has the spirit of the original Vinnies back. The steak was tender and juicy and seasoned just right, the appetizers were large and tasty and there were several drink options. I will return."

  • "We have been going to Vinnie's since it fiest opened its doors some 20 odd years ago. It is really cozy ... The essence of a great neighborhood steak house. As a regular, the founder/owner, Dusty, had our picture -- along with other regulars -- on the wall. When he sold the restaurant, the new owner took down all pictures and burned them ... Idiot. We stayed away until it was sold to someone with common sense. Now it has much of its original ambience -- minus the original artists' caractures of the "regulars." This is a place that is special ... Probably haunted by Rose, Dusty's mother, who was a honey ... Always sat and talked to us -- and everyone else. If there is a birthday or anniversary, this is our "go to" place."

  • "This place is just horrible. The food is awful, escargot was bad French onion soup was flavorless, tasted like it was made of beef bouillon and the cheese on top was not good. Steak was cooked wrong, baked potato was cold, the butter never melted due to the cold potato. Asparagus was ice cold. Terrible meal. It was my first ( and last time here). Sullivan's is so much better. Definitely one of the worst meals I've had in my life."

  • "I have been to Vinnie's many times and it had been my favorite restauarant but my dinner there on 11/2 was very poor. I was seated at a table at the entrance to the private room where a party was going on and it was so loud we could not hear each other at our table. The serving staff slammed the door into the back of my chair 15 times as they went in and out of the private room. My steak (large filet mignon) was a little tough, overcooked, and was not hot. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it had 5 very small shrimp on it. I had to ask twice to have the baked potato cut in half for my wife and I to share."

  • "We went here to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday - his choice and a great choice it was. We made reservations and were initially seated at a back corner table, which we disliked immediately. We were reseated at a much better and roomier table in the center of the restaurant. Great food, excellent server (Carson), and a nice atmosphere. Chef sent out a complimentary appetizer since it was my husband's birthday and also stopped by our table to ask about our meal. This is a great place for a special occasion. Pretty pricey but worth it for celebrations and romantic evenings."
