Food is always excellent – this time was no exception. We got both specials – pizza and pasta. The pasta was chocolate pasta w/ lobster in a vanilla sauce. Sounds weird, but my wife loved it. We have had almost everything on the menu, so we usually get at least one special – the chef keeps coming up with special specials. Once again, we had issues with delivery of coffee and dessert. Once delivered they were both good. This is an ongoing issue and I brought it to the manager’s attention so hopefully they can correct. All pasta is made in house as well as five mozzerellas, gelatos, sausage and some salumi. Pizza is made to order out of the woodfired oven and the dough is, of course made in house. The staff is friendly and understandably busy. Attention to detail with the dishes is a producrt of a disciplined kitchen staff. Italian wines are always a treat although I have a difficult time drinking a Brunello out of a juice glass. There were 2 large groups that came in, and even though our server was distracted by them, our server's assistant's were excellent. The chef comes out and greets everyone. I had the wood fired pizza...very good. My wife is gluten free, and her pasta choice was excellent, especially for gluten free pasta. The tables are pretty close together. I couldn't pull out my chair without hitting the people behind us. Our only complaint for this restaurant was the noise level. I could not hear my wife sitting across the table from me. It was also difficult to hear the servers and chef as well. Some soundproofing would be a good idea. The in-house made mozzerella itself is worth the trip! Each pasta dish is better than the next and the pizza is absolutely amazing. The food and service was terrific. They were having a wine dinner the night we went, and the restaurant was crowded so we ate at the bar. Again, it was great and we really enjoyed it. The mozarella and pasta's are house-made and delicious. We tasted the gelato and it too was really, really good. I had a flatbread pizza and my husband had a pasta dish - both were fresh and flavorful.
