Our evening was such a great get away from the everyday. Our server, Shawn, was great. His recommendations were fantastic. He had a great knowledge of the food, and being a 'foodie' I love it when servers have a good grasp of what is on the menu and what the prominent flavor sand profiles are. It makes choosing an entree easier. Our whole group enjoyed their evening. Even one of our party had food allergies, and they were not even an issue. Which was great! Thanks so much!!!

We have been coming here for years and could always count on fantastic food. Always order the scallops and prime rib. Both dinners were terrible. Scallops were mush, served with some kind of mystery veggie mix. Prime rib was tough. The only thing edible was the potato! Will not go back here. Must also mention that after a dozen stays at the South Coast Resort, that too was not up to par. Lately, with each visit, they take away an amenity that made the stay special. Hate to say this may be our last stay😥

The food was amazing and the service excellent. My daughter and I were there for her birthday and the complimentary dessert was out of this world, both with taste and portion. We would definitely return and since we live just an hour's drive away, we plan to do just that. I will definitely recommend the Vineyard Rose to all my friends and family.

It's always nice to come here, the ambiance is like a ski resort inside, warm & inviting. We started with the house greens salad (big enough for two to share). So good, with walnuts, goat cheese, grape halves. We had the bone-in pork chop (outstanding!), salmon (excellent), chicken (a good standby) and the linguini with duck and wild mushrooms (yucky!). The sides on the first three were superb and all three diners were happy. The pasta was terrible! It had some kind of brown liquid in it, pasta was mushy, no flavor, duck was stringy and dry since it was boiled in the brown juice. Would have been better with a smaller portion of good quality pasta with a nice creamy sauce with mushrooms....and crispy duck confit on top.

Don't go there with high expectations, you'll be disappointed. Waited a long time for our food. The only time we had our server's attention was when he took our order and when we ask for the check. The Wild Mushroom and Duck Linguini was a big disappointment. Nothing like what was described on the menu and by the server. Way too sweet for an entree. There were mushrooms but not wild mushrooms as expected.

We had never gone to a winery (in Temecula) for dinner and frankly there are hardly any wineries in the area that are open for dinner service. Once you are there you are greeted with a gigantic dining room with tall ceilings and private sections for large or small parties. The food was good and the portion size was admirable. Our server was EXECELLENT and could recommend any wine with any meal. Overall the entire experience was delightful and our dining experience was a success. It is a little $$$ but well worth it!

This restaurant ranks as a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. You certainly get value for the price. The serving staff was excellent without being intrusive. The chefs special was rack of lamb which was prepared to perfection. My husband had the filet which he rated as one of the best. The South Coast winery makes excellent wine of which we selected a Cabernet. We had such a wonderful experience that we can't wait for another anniversary!

We've been here numerous times and this time was disappointing. Lobster salad was the size of a babies hand. Shouldn't say salad or have pic. My friends said frozen pizzas are better. The service took from sitting to getting food an hour. We're members and out of town guests. I was embarrassed. The view was beautiful though. Bring your own food on a Sunday. If you can.

The food was a major disappointment! The baked cheese appetizer was microwaved as different sections had extreme temperature variations. The scallop main course was prepared with a spicy tomato olive sauce instead of the buerre blanc sauce described in the menu. Also, the freshness of the orange roughy was questionable.

We stayed at the South Coast Winery for the night after an amazing balloon ride. Our dinner at the Vineyard Rose was a wonderful way to end the day. Our waiter Sean (sp?) was most excellent and the ambiance was really lovely. Dinner was quite yummy and that creme brulee was fantastic! The following morning breakfast was also quite delicious.

to consider the Vineyard Rose "fine dining" is ridiculous. The food is not good. My clam chowder tasted like it came from a can and the flourless chocolate cake was not even edible. I found the wine to be good, however, I found it hard to enjoy the outdoor patio because there was a wedding going on in the lawn below so I had to eat the terrible food all the while listening to some equally terrible dance music. I feel that the hostess could have let us know that there was a wedding taking place so we could choose an indoor table. To top it off, we ordered coffee at the end of our meal and it was the worst coffee I have ever had. We were staying in one of the villas at SCW and so we were offered free breakfast the next day...we declined

Took my parents to lunch here when they were visiting from out of town, and had a great experience. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, from the hostess to our servers. Sat out on the veranda and enjoyed the beautiful view and great wine. I highly recommend sitting outside if the weather allows. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was excellent. It's quite pricey thought ($22 for a shrimp salad!) so the manu takes some navigating if you're not willing to spend your paycheck on lunch.

Two loud parties ruined our evening. Had to ask to be moved and it was still not enough... No manager to be found when we were clearly unhappy with our experience... That alone made it not worth the $200 we spent on dinner for two. Food was still good.

We had dinner at Vineyard Rose on October 3, 2014. Our waiter was Philip and his service was excellent. Our wine glass was never empty and he even helped me with my lobster tail so I didn't end up wearing it. The lobster was tender and sweet. My accompanying steak was cooked to perfection and full of rich flavor. We had a bottle of the South Coast Winery's Mourvedre with our meal and not only did it go well with our main courses, it was the perfect with the flourless chocolate cake we had for dessert.

The restaurant is well decorated and has an intimate atmosphere in spite of being so large and open. The food was good--my wife had the salmon and I had the Filet Mignon. The Filet was well prepared, but a bit undersized for the price. Great flourless chocolate cake for desert, but the coffee had to be replaced since it was lukewarm when served. Regardless of the minor shortcomings, the meal was exceptional overall and a perfect end to a great day of wine tasting!

Joe is our cousin and he set us up with veranda seats but we had already made reservations in the restaurant so we used those first. I had some dental work done that morning so I could not enjoy what my stomach wanted me to have but soup was wonderful and my husband (big meat eater) stated that the prime rib was the best he had ever had! The guest service was above and beyond! From the gift shop to the dining to Ed outside directing traffic and sharing the history of the property with me. I happened to notice the owners picture on the wall and then walked passed him and let him know his dream come true was a wonderful and beautiful place. We are harley riders and have decided this will be a stop for our next ride through Temecula!!

How great wood it be to stay at this great resort without moving your car to another restaurant? Unfortunately for the third time we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The chicken was overdone. The desert was not notable. The only great dish was the cheese and charcuterie plate with the local honey. For this amount one pays it is not worth while. However good food is hard to find in Temeculy wine country for dinner!
