Vineland Estates Winery RestaurantStunning viewOverlooking the vineyard, both indoors and on the patio. Sadly the large tree covering the patio has been removed, but the view is amazing. The food is even better. Wait staff are exemplary ... top notch service, food and views. Highly recommended!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery romantic and indulgent...Very romantic and indulgent... rustic, quiet and simply 'beautiful' place to enjoy some really divine food with a special someone :)6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA peaceful havenWe had an early reservation after my daughters graduation. It was a lovely change of scene after all the frenetic activity.
Great food and wine and a delightfully unobtrusive service and beautiful outlook . We could have asked for nothing better.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMoutingthe food is outstanding on all of them , the steak is so tender, I wish I can have some tips how to season the meat , tender and tasty. All the seafood just cook in the right time, I hate over cook seafood. thanks for the wonderful lunch .6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Restaurant.Really enjoy lunch in this restaurant. Everything is good. Very impressive.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining ExperienceWe elected to try the chef''s special menu, consisting of 3 courses with wine pairings. There are 3 levels of wines to choose from, and we chose the reserve level. Everything was outstanding, and prepared with fresh local ingredients. We particularly liked the fish course with fiddlehead ferns. That particular course was paired with a 2009 reserve chardonay, a variety that neither of us generally care for. This one was so good that immediately following the meal we marched over to the winery store and bought a couple of bottles!
The service was attentive and detailed. I wish we lived closer, and could visit more often. We will definitely return when we visit the area next time.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding , but..................A truly wonderful experience , and I would certainly return..We ordered the 5 Course Chefs Special with wine pairings for each course.(at the intermediate price level. $55/person wine only)..Truly and unforgettable experience...Outstanding food, exquisite presentation, and the wine pairings right for each course..
The Timing for each course was prolonged to the point of frustration..Granted it was a romantic evening, each course individually prepared and as is the European custom, the dinner was the entire evening..Close to three hours..On another visit, I would attempt to discreetly inquire about timing without trying to offend..
All in all well worth the Money..which was CONSIDERABLE... I love the place..5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMReturn trip worth the waitMy wife and I dined at Vineland Estates in 2007 and have been planning a return trip ever since. We finally made it back in May 2013 and were pleased to find that it is still top notch. Vineland Estates is located in a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Ontario. The menu is sensibly short, offering choices for first, second and third course, as well as a Chef's special 5 course offering. We had no trouble finding offerings to our liking. The food quality was wonderful. The service was attentive, but we never felt rushed. We paired dinner with the wonderful Vineland Reserve Cabernet Franc. For dessert a selection of local cheeses. If you are in the Niagara area, don't miss this gem.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDiscovering the Niagara region. My husband and I felt like a nice dinner but lazy to be with the downtown traffic
We decided to try a new winery restaurant and found this one a very nice experience worth the drive from our home in Mississauga..
Undecided about some of the wines and the waiter let us try them for our best choice. That already made our night since we really are very particular about our wine.
The food was very good, the bread was cold. I think all restaurants should know that people love warm bread.
I certainly will go back..5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMVineland - First Class! We've been here many times and it never disappoints. Excellent pairings of great wines with locally sourced foods. Out on the patio, overlooking the vineyards one realizes, this is not much different than sitting somewhere in the south of France in summer.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMCraving more...Have had nothing but great meals at Vineland, amazing way to spend the afternoon! We travelled for 2 hours just for lunch and it was so worth it, will be going back!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA long time, never fail favouriteThe Vineland Estates Winery restaurant has been my favourite summer go-to restaurant for many, many years.
The menu is interesting, locally sourced, and changed regularly. The deck has a lovely view of the escarpment and over the vineyards. Portions are well sized so that all 3 courses can be enjoyed. Vineland Estates produces some wonderful wines (their reserve Chardonnay is always a favourite of mine). Service for my most recent lunch was perfect, timely, personable, professional.
My appetizer on the weekend was especially wonderful - grilled asparagus, lobster, arugula, and a poached egg (interesting! and surprisingly well integrated with the dish). Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!Incredible food and ambience; our group of 5 loved everything about our lunch.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMVineland Cafe - Lovely!A beautiful setting with a view of Lake Ontario, Vineland hits all the marks for food, service and ambience.
The wine was excellent, the food well cooked and presented. Top marks for adapting to guests needs. Overall a very enjoyable experience!!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe wine pairings were excellent,The wine pairings were excellent, and the local pickerel divine. The strawberry custard tart was subtly flavoured so one could really taste the fresh and flaky pastry.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AM10 out of 10The whole atmosphere when you walk in is warm and inviting. The million dollar view is worth going just for that. The food by far is the best I have ever had. Proper chefs preparing proper dishes with fresh ingredients and flair that will leave you saying "WOW" . Whether a simple stop for a glass of wine and maybe a cheese plate or a special occasion, this is the place to be for sure. I always mark my calendar for my next visit!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day LunchMy daughter took us (4 of us) to the restaurant for lunch. Upon emtrance, we were offered a glass of orange juice mixed with wine or whatever. We were seated immediately and the service was good. A man and a woman played some music which was very enjoyable and a added touch. The food served was very good. We all enjoyed the lunch. When the bill came, my daughter found out that the orange juice drink costs $9 each which we were not informed. We all thought it was part of the lunch deal. The restaurant should not do this without letting the diners know all drinks are extra. The restaurant is being tricky!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleasant surpriseWe visited Vineland Estates Winery Restaurant on recommendation and very glad we did. We live outside of Buffalo so we travelled an hour but it was well worth it. Everything was fabulous from the service to the exceptional fare - and we are foodies!! The menu was a bit limited in choices but a nice variety and what they do they do well. The wine was very good as well. An especially nice touch was the live music of a single guitar player who beautifully played a variety of pieces from familiar tunes to jazz and blues; quiet & soft enough to enjoy conversation (we were one table away from him) yet audible to enjoy. A destination restaurant for us but we will definitely be back again and again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGraet place for lunchIts a great place for lunch before visiting Niagra Falls or Niagra on the Lake. The view is just outstanding. We would have loved to sit out in the patio since the weather was just perfect. Unfortunately patio was not ready for lunch. The management should have got it ready in time since the weather forecast was great for at least a week in advance.
The food & wine selection was great & service was great.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday lunch destinationWe would rate our experience as 4 out of 5....the service was superb and friendly, the setting is lovely and the food was excellent. The flank steak and cheese board were outstanding. Two improvements for a perfect mark: more vegetable on the plates, and also some noise buffering. We came here some years ago and there was live acoustic guitar entertainment for lunch, and recall a quieter ambience; and wonder whether there might have been carpeting or some other sound-absorbing material which was changed in the meantime.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNever a disappointment atNever a disappointment at Vineland. I was there before and will keep returning whenever I am heading to Niagara.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMReally lovely restaurant withReally lovely restaurant with a great view. Food was especially good.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
