Diner Reviews
  • "food and décor was wonderful as usual! it is always tight and cozy. really enjoyed great Italian! be sure to ask for the homemade lemon cello after dinner!"

  • "First dined at Vincent's in 1997 (Metairie) and I was hooked! I've been back there several times in the several years, but, now, we only go to the St. Charles facility. The food is outstanding at either location---Vincent, himself, is in Metairie, and visits each table to see if patron is satisfied. At St. Charles, his co-owner, Tony Imbraguglio, greets at the door and remembers regular diners well. The food is outstanding.... I'm a foodie, and love the good stuff, and have NEVER been disappointed. We have a favorite waiter, named.. Daego (sp.?).. Pronounced DAHGO. He's terrific, with great recommendations on any specials, and recommended wines. It's small, noisy, and cramped but that can be good! My wife and I drive 55 miles to dine!"

  • "The food at Vincent's is always wonderful. Love it for lunch because it is a lot less crowded than at dinner. Excellent service!"

  • "We celebrated my daughter's birthday at Vincent's on July 5. While the food was delicious, the drinks more than ample and the service excellent, I must say that the restaurant itself is a bit over crowded. I feel that perhaps a few less tables would make the experience more comfortable."

  • "Nice little neighborhood restaurant. Always order the cannelloni...but the crawfish bisque in the 'bread bowl' is the best."

  • "Two words lobster ravioli!! This new starter was delicious and left me wanting more. Vincent promises it will be a new star at a least a regular in the rotation of app specials despite it's being labor intensive. I can't wait to have it again. Per usual veal Roberto and the shrimp and crab parma were both excellent. Top to bottom you can't really go wrong here!"

  • "Vincent's on St. Charles Avenue has some of the tastiest Italian food in New Orleans! If you don't mind sitting extremely close to other diners, as the restaurant is quite cramped, it is well worth a visit! The fish dishes, red sauce and specials (listed on the front inside cover of the menu) never fail to impress!"

  • "The best Italian food in New Orleans. I can not even tell you which dish to pick. They are all so good. We have been to Vincent's several times. I try something different every time I go. A must have every trip though is the corn and crab soup. Yummy!!!"

  • "Enjoyed a memorable meal here with my husband. Authentic food, service & ambiance. We started with the corn & lobster bisque which was incredible. The pasta was perfectly prepared & home made. We've eaten in some of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto, NYC and Italy. Vincent's ranks among the very best."

  • "This is one of our favorite food destinations. Excellent food and great service. All of our choices from both the specials menu and from the regular menu have been consistently great. Unique starters, great house salads, and a crab and corn bisque served in a bread-bowl that should never be missed. Rich, flavorful sauces complement many of the starters and entrees. This is a popular small neighborhood restaurant. The restaurant is a bit dark, perfect for a romantic meal, but the tables are very close to one another to accommodate a full house as this is a popular spot for late night eating. Overall, a must try spot."

  • "Love this place. Traditional Italian cuisine and hospitality. Price point for quality is definitely in the guests favor. I had the Oso Bucco. It melts off the bone and in your mouth. ( Paired with he Ruffino gold label Chianti.) Our server was capable but beyond dry in personality. The servers assistant made up for her and added to our experience. "

  • "It was a busy night due to Tulane graduation, but our table was waiting for us, service was immediate, and the food was excellent. Although crowded and a little loud, conversation was good and lively and the wine was perfect."

  • "I loved my entire dining experience at Vincent's . It's a small venue, crowded and noisy, but that enhanced the ambience. I hoped Uncle Junior would stop in but...My only complaint is about the Ladies Restroom. One person at a time so there is always a line and a wait. The location isn't a good one. It's between the bar and the kitchen doors...a safety concern when it gets busy. "

  • "10th Anniversary Dinner, Food as always was great one of the great menus anywhere. Service was worse than poor. Appetizer and Salad were finished prior to being served the wine we ordered. Owner was having dinner next to our table with friends so would have been poor form to unload on him while he was with friends and customers, I think this is a rare occurrence at this restaurant so don't let it deter you. it is a great find! Try the Rose of Sicily, and the cannoli's. "

  • "Vincent's is consistent, consistently excellent. Which is why we are regulars. Although we live near the Metairie location, we make the drive to St. Charles when we'd like Vincent's on a Sunday. Among our favorites; the seafood stuffed double pork chop, and Artichoke Vincent appetizer."
