Vince Young Steakhousehard to get to/small childrenWith the construction and one-way streets, it was almost impossible to get to your front door. It would be helpful if childrens' menu items arrived at the table at an edible temperature. When small children are involved, a more timely service time is recommended also. This could have been a meal in itself. Others had salads and crabcakes. The cornbread was almost a cake it was so moise and sweat and complmented the chili perfectly. Next came the steaks. Three of us got the 12 once Filets and one person got the Ribeye. The Filets were amazing! So much so, that even though the Ribeye was delicious, that person had regret. I highly recomend the Filet. We got the Bacon Mac and Cheese, Aug Gratin Potatoes, Green Beans, and Suated Mushrooms as table sides. All of it was really good, esp the Mac and Cheese. Dessert menu looked good, but we were full. Our server was fantastic. The food was absolutely top notch. I wish I could remember my server's name but I had too many glasses of delicious champagne. He is a newlywed with a baby on the way. If anyone knows his name, post it on here! Hands down best Mac n Cheese of my entire life. Perfect 10 is worth the coin. Don't skimp when you go here! Michael, not sure of his last name (wearing black glasses) was extremely informative and professional. Tended to our needs but not overbearing. I ordered the rib eye (no bone) and my husband ordered the filet. Wonderful taste. I was so excited that VY offered mac and cheese (the plain kind without all the chipotle which we usually get). It was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Charcuterie Board appetizer from the recommendation of our waiter. It was fabulous. Again, thank you again for such a wonderful evening. It is a great place to dine. The food is outstanding and if you go you must try the grilled ceasar salad. Fantastic. Our waiter was Mallory and he as one of the best that I have ever experienced. A bit disappointed in the French Onion Soup, but they took it away and took it off of our bill. The farm to table salad looked wonderful, as well as the grilled ceasar that my friends ordered. Desserts were OK. Ordered the flourless chocolate cake and the cherry and chocolate ice cream. But the steaks are the reason to go. Everything was wonderful, it was just way out of our budget. I can't justify paying $42.00 for a steak. Our bill was $221.00, the most I have ever paid at a restaurant, in my life. This dinner was a special occasion for my wife and I. When we arrived, they greeted us which a congratulations on the occasion. They seated us a bit early because we arrived early and they accompdated our new timing. The food was just perfect and the sevice and presentation was great. They also made a custom desert for our occasion that hit the spot. After dinner, we stopped by the bar and had an after dinner drink and listened to great jazz and blues music. There are so many times when a celebrity will put their name on a restaurant to make a profit but not care about the quality of the food. I must say I was blown away by the entire dining experience at Vince Young Steakhouse. The food was amazing, the ambiance made for a romantic evening and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter made an excellent suggestion for a wine pairing, and I think I found a new favorite wine. I am very picky about my steaks, but this was hands down the best filet I have ever had. And to top it all off, we were sitting right across from Vince Young himself during the course of our dinner! The only issue that I had was with my reservation. I had originally booked the reservation for a party of 7 at 6:45pm but called about 5:45pm to changee my reservation to 8:30pm for a party of two. During the rescheduling, the person I spoke with almost did not recognize me as the person that booked it and focused more on the purpose of the reservation, which for the birthday. After a rushed/brushed-off confirmation, I requested the change & to disassociate me from that party all together.
