Diner Reviews
  • "The food was so good to my son, he said mom lets move to Daytona! I absolutely loved the Shrimp & Grits, I am so coming back, and making sure I visit Vince Carter's again."

  • "First timer, my expectations were met... I had already vision this place to be topnotch... and it truly was! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Already shared my fantastic experience with friends and family. The menu choices are superb and the food was delicious!"

  • "A special lunch for an 89th birthday party was made beautiful by the staff at VC's. From reservations to seating to the finale birthday cake everything was made easy. The food was MAGNIFICENT. Everyone raved about their selections. The price was a pleasant surprise as SIX of us had HUGE lunch meals and beverages for a total tab of $90 including taxes. The waitress seemed to have too many tables as she "forgot" to return with requests. Also the $10 fee to cut and serve the cake seems exorbitant. We chose to cut it ourselves instead."

  • "Stopped by on a whim for lunch on a Saturday. Superb service and very good food. Only one small issue was there weren't a lot of lower calorie options."

  • "Excellent service; a bit pricey; maybe I choose the wrong entrée (scallops with pasta) food was cold, scallops were very grainy. Husband's hamburger looked great."

  • "We enjoy taking friends to Vince Carter's because the food is always very good however, we feel the prices are a bit high. We noticed this time there were very few people dining there. We will continue to visit the restaurant when we are in town and hope it stays open"

  • "Vince Carter's restaurant was a mixed dining experience. The food, specifically the Sea Bass and Salmon were fantastic. Service was very slow and pace was dismal. It was virtually impossible to get a refill on water. I would return for the quality of food, and hopefully service will be at par for the prices and ambiance."

  • "Piano bar a real plus, friendly service and good food, but limited menu. Been there so many times now, need nightly specials."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "They couldn't find our reservation, and acted like it was a disruption to seat us...even though the place was pretty empty. The food was just ok for being so highly priced. The wedge salad was good, but it was downhill from there. The crab cakes were fishy and the ribeye was fatty and flavorless. We wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone."

  • "Great sports bar. Nice piano bar. Fine dinning at it's best. This is a sports bar to enjoy for lunch or after work. There is a romantic piano bar for dates and special occasions and the dinning room as great ambiance."

  • "I made reservations through Open Table taking my parents here for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Made a special note to the restaurant that we were coming here for this very special occassion and if they could do anything special for them, please do so. Nothing was said or done. Very disappointed. Parents liked their meals but mine was not worth the $25 price tag. I had what was supposed to be sea scallops but turned out to be 5 itty bitty scallops one of which was cooked way too much on the bottom. I will say the cheese ravioli was really good and a lot of them. Would have been happier with more scallops and less ravioli. This wass our first time dining there and probably will not be going back...."

  • "Of all the places to pick from on valentines day we decided to return to Vince Carter's. Little did we know that we would be forced to pick our entire meal from a set menu. Nothing we were used to ordering was even on there. We had to settle for an entree we didn't even want. If it wasn't for the reservation we already had we would have left and gone someplace else. the bread wasn't even bread...it was cornbread! Who eats cornbread by itself with a drink. Then the entrees offered didn't sound that great let alone the portions when they arrived to the table. My entree was served-kid you not-on the same size plate I got my salad in. Really!! We were so disappointed with everything at that point. Not a way to spend your romantic v-day dinner!"

  • "Everything was good, except when it came to the main course, steaks. The quality for the price was below average. Roadhouse quality."

  • "Great restaurant tucked away on LPGA Blvd. just off I-95. Food was prepared just right, service was excellent. Menu offered a variety of food for everyone's taste."

  • "Made a reservation and got seated immediately. We were seated in the Owners room with a beautiful view and we had a wonderful dinner and great waitress."

  • "Had a reservation but when we got there were told they were not taking reservations, had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. The menu was limited for that night and was not told that when making the reservation. I have been there before but the food was poor that night and the prices were high. The place is run poorly from a reservation point of view."

  • "We had a lovely lunch and reunion to celebrate our best friend's 83rd birthday. From reservations to check payment the event was smooth and delightful."

  • "Made reservations for 9pm and still had a 30 min wait. When we finally got to the table was very upset because there was a set menu which didn't have that many choices. The server told us that it was for faster service but this theory proved to be wrong. People that were seated after us got their food before us. When we finally got served bread and our salads the food quality wasn't good. Very disappointed!"

  • "Great steak, nice atmosphere, they did a great job making the restaurant set up of Valentines Day. We even had our kids and the waiter said we could order from normal menu so the kids had options. The piano made the occasion romantic but casual. Great job VC's"

  • "This was the second year 4 of us went to Vince Carter's on Valentines Day. Last year it was hectic, overcrowded, and not so great. This time they'd worked out all the kinks! We were greeted at the door by a young man who handed each woman a carnation. Nice touch. We had a very short wait, then seated. Roger, our wait-person was great as we're the food and wine. Steak done perfectly, lobster tortellini excellent! Looks like we'll be back next year!"

  • "We had a lovely night. Sadly at the time we say at the table the kitchen. Ran out of salmon and lamb, but the steak was amazingly perfect, juicy, tasty and I'm not a meat eater. The scallops were stunning. The lobster tortellini was perfect. Thanks"

  • "Everything was good except they didn't have a couple of things we wanted off the menu. Plus the waiter did something I never seen done before. This man got our tab and didn't bring my change back as if he just assume he was getting a 25 dollar tip. It was not the 18% of our bill that I was going to give him. I mean the food was prepared well but it wasn't worth the buck in my opinion."

  • "I have taken my wife there the last two years for our anniversary because it is her favorite restaurant. We have enjoyed it every time that we have dined there. It is always a treat to go there. We always recommend it to friends and strangers too."

  • "We took friends from NC to dinner at Vince Carters, they were very impressed with the ambiance and the food. My husband had barbecue ribs which he said were excellent, I had pasta which was okay, not very tasty but it was okay. All in all, it was a very nice evening and we would definitely go back. BTW, the service was excellent."

  • "It was my husband's birthday and I specifically put on the reservation that it was his birthday, however, his day was not even acknowledged until I told our waitress after our dinner was paid for. I was a little disappointed, but our waitress tried to make it up by giving him a dessert of his choosing which he liked (bread pudding). Other than that, our dining experience was great and the food was delicious."

  • "We went to VC's with guests visiting from the frozen Northland. We had been there before for lunch and were impressed. Dinner was wonderful. Waitstaff knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Returned frequently, but not TOO frequently, so we were able to converse easily. The ambiance is exquisite. We highly recommend it as one of Daytona's finest. Prices are very reasonable. Dinner for four (including one alcoholic cocktail was $88.00."

  • "We have dined there several times and enjoyed it. We usually hit the piano bar as well. This particular night was a special birthday dinner, we had the worst server. His name was Kendrick. He had no idea of how to provide customer service. He had the mentality of working at McDonalds and he couldn't wait to finish his shift. Our entire meal and mood for the evening was ruin! I really expected a nice dining experience, but only received a large check."

  • "Our experience was good - food was wonderful. It took a long time to get our drink order and they did not appear to be that busy when we arrived. Our food came rather quickly which was surprising as we were not finished with our salads and bam our food appeared. The waitress apologized for this. Timing on different entrees could be improved. All in all we enjoyed our dinner."

  • "Flew in from out of state and met friends there for dinner and to watch the playoff games in the sports bar/lounge. The food was excellent and the atmosphere fun but not too noisy that you couldn't carry on a conversation. Great opportunity to choose between the sports bar for more casual dining with the same menu or the more formal dining room. Either way, the food and service were very good. We will be back next time we are in Florida."

  • "If the success of your dining experience is based on the environment of a restaurant, then Vince Carter's fills the bill. The decor was classy but not stark or snobbish. The food was mediocre at best and over-priced. We could have gone to a local smaller non-chain restaurant in Port Orange where the menu is varied, the prices are reasonable, and the service top-notch for about 1/2 the price we paid at Vince Carter's. However, some folks may be more concerned with ambience and "being seen" in a higher visibility restaurant. If this is the case, then Vince Carter's would be a good choice for them. As for us, we'll stick with excellent quality food at a reasonable price and dine with the "locals"."

  • "We had reservations for Christmas Day. When we we arrived we were not greeted with a "Welcome", or "Merry Christmas"! We were welcomed with "It doesn't matter what time your reservation is for, it will be at least an hour wait! The receptionists were very stressed and I asked if they overbooked. A receptionist said they were told to overbook and this was the result. We finally got to our table 50 minutes later. The one thing I came to eat for my Christmas dinner, was the Prime Rib. After we all placed our orders the waitress came back to tell us that they were sold out of Prime Rib and that they would give us Rib Eye's and they ran out of those, so we got fillets. We were very disappointed to say the least. Not a good evening I'm afraid."
