Vin 48 is one of our favorites in the Vail Valley. The extensive wine list gives you a chance to sample several in flights. Wine offered in both 3 ounce tastings and 6 ounce glasses. The small plates are interesting, and you can easily make a full meal from many delectable choices. Try the beet salad, or Burrata with grilled peaches.

Great restaurant! Our server Kelly was friendly, efficient and knowledgable. I love that they have so many small plates to choose from. The warm goat cheese and goat salad , the mixed organic mushrooms and the flank steak were all excellent. The citrus creme brûlée was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

Excellent - exceptional is their flights - you can buy 1/2 glasses three at a time and try all kinds of different wines from the list. Coupled with their small plates you can try it with food. Love that - you pick what you want and experience the flavors with the different wines.

I get the feeling that Vin48 are aiming at contemporary look and feel to their Restaurant but still with an emphasis on decent food. We enjoyed the meal especially the fact that we were not 'rushed' like many other high quality eating establishments. I like to have at least 10 and even up to 20 minutes between courses so I can digest and contemplate what's coming next. Vin48 got it just right at about 15 minutes, although I get the feeling this was slower than normal so request how long you want to wait between courses. One last thing. They had a guitarist playing and singing some great classic hits in the background which was the perfect compliment to the summer evening. Not sure if that's a regular thing but was a bonus extra for us.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. We took the last table outside, which they had to clean since it was all dusty; the cloth that they used to clean the table had a really funky smell, which luckily went away fast cause otherwise it would have ruined my appetite. I ordered a Pomerac (do not get a cocktail unless you like very strong drinks!) and it was too strong for my liking so I ordered a Pinot Grigio, we ordered 2 small plates each I got the scallops and then the unbelievably good Smoked Salmon! My husband had the steak and the fried chicken which he enjoyed. For dessert we had the brownie, so yummy! It would've been nice not to be charged for the drink I didn't drink but oh well, i'll just get wine next time.

Food was very good - small plates interesting combinations. However, the evening was rather spoiled by the excessively loud live music. We had to move into the bar area to be able to hear each other (4 of us), and even then we had to almost shout to be heard. Music wasn't that good, either. Sorry - we have always liked dining here, but will ask next time about live music before making another reservation.

All three of us enjoyed our meals very much. The menu has variety and creativity. The chef created some unique and fabulous flavors. The mint sauce with the lamb appetizer is amazing. The service was excellent and the open glass walls make the whole dining area feel like outdoor seating. We tried to go back the following day but they were booked. VIN48 is our new favorite.

My Wife and I stopped in Avon on a Friday night to stay on our way further west to meet with friends and decided to do a nice dinner at this place. They had a great wine discount (48% off bottles on their wine list), and the food was amazing. Slightly pricey, but if you find some sort of deal like we did, it's a massive value. We'd go back for sure if in Avon again.

I would definitely avoid this restaurant if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing dinner. The service was slow, seating is uncomfortable. Definitely a tourist driven restaurant with rich East Coast families (including small children) taking up the majority of seats. Food is marginal at best.

We find this restaurant in the local dining magazines and decided to try it because of the great ratings. The service was very good. The food was very good as well, although I wouldn't say it was exceptional. The volume inside the restaurant want overly obnoxious, but it was loud. The wine selection was very good, as was the service. I did think the process were a little higher then I expected, but I'd go back again.

Great after ski dinner spot in Avon. Was about 10 min drive from our hotel near Beaver Creek village. They had a great selection of small plates which was what we shared. The best we had were the chicken drumettes and the shrimp and grits. They also had good oysters! My only complaint was that I was seated in a spot that had really bright sun on my face in an otherwise dim restaurant. Please invest in some shades! Service was great and amazing wine list to choose from.

While staying in Beaver Creek, we enjoyed vin48 so much, we ate dinner there 3nights! The menu was wonderful - diverse and creative without being pretentious. With a group of four, we were able to sample 75% of the menu over 3 nights (sharing small and large plates). The wine list was overwhelming until our server, Jeff, recommended 3 very affordable and delicious wines. The service all three nights was perfect. Jeff and Mike were spot on perfect! We found so many of the servers in the Vail region to be snobby and aloof, but every person in Vin48 was genuinely gracious and friendly. Don't miss this gem!

We had an amazing time at Vin 48! They had a great wine selection -- we ordered a bottle of Scribe - Cabernet - which we haven't seen since our visit to the actual vineyard in Napa. We started with the mussels which were really good and a perfect portion to be shared. We ordered the Colorado Tenderloin and Colorado Sea Bass --- both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We ended with homemade gelato - again, amazing. Our server was attentive and friendly without being overbearing and the overall sound/music/ambience was energetic yet not loud or overwhelming. We can't wait to come back soon!

We had a Saturday night valentines dinner here, got there right when it opened at 5 pm, lucky us because it was mostly booked for the rest of the night. We were seated in the back room which has a wall of stone & candles (to set the "you can relax now" mood) & another wall displaying their vast wine selection. The waitress was professional & knowledgable but also down to earth and very accommodating! The food was fantastic! We've eaten at many high end restaurant & this one was still extraordinary. Here's what we got & can recommend: sweet potato bruschetta, goat cheese & beet salad, steak with truffle cauliflower mash (you've never had cauliflower taste so good!!), garlic mashed potatoes, creme brûlée & brownie.
