Vin 48 offers an ever-changing rustic American menu to satisfy discriminating palates with small and large plates featuring local organic ingredients.

Chef Hays’ food is complemented by our eclectic, carefully chosen wine list. An Enomatic preservation system allows us to present over 40 wines by the glass and half glass. We also serve hand-crafted cocktails and beer from our full bar.

They had a great wine discount (48% off bottles on their wine list), and the food was amazing. Slightly pricey, but if you find some sort of deal like we did, it's a massive value. We'd go back for sure if in Avon again."

  • "Great after ski dinner spot in Avon. Was about 10 min drive from our hotel near Beaver Creek village. They had a great selection of small plates which was what we shared. The best we had were the chicken drumettes and the shrimp and grits. They also had good oysters! My only complaint was that I was seated in a spot that had really bright sun on my face in an otherwise dim restaurant. Please invest in some shades! Service was great and amazing wine list to choose from."

The food was very good as well, although I wouldn't say it was exceptional. The volume inside the restaurant want overly obnoxious, but it was loud. The wine selection was very good, as was the service. I did think the process were a little higher then I expected, but I'd go back again."

  • "While staying in Beaver Creek, we enjoyed vin48 so much, we ate dinner there 3nights! The menu was wonderful - diverse and creative without being pretentious. With a group of four, we were able to sample 75% of the menu over 3 nights (sharing small and large plates). The wine list was overwhelming until our server, Jeff, recommended 3 very affordable and delicious wines. The service all three nights was perfect. Jeff and Mike were spot on perfect! We found so many of the servers in the Vail region to be snobby and aloof, but every person in Vin48 was genuinely gracious and friendly. Don't miss this gem!"

  • "We had an amazing time at Vin 48! They had a great wine selection -- we ordered a bottle of Scribe - Cabernet - which we haven't seen since our visit to the actual vineyard in Napa. We started with the mussels which were really good and a perfect portion to be shared. We ordered the Colorado Tenderloin and Colorado Sea Bass --- both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We ended with homemade gelato - again, amazing. Our server was attentive and friendly without being overbearing and the overall sound/music/ambience was energetic yet not loud or overwhelming. We can't wait to come back soon!"

  • "We had a Saturday night valentines dinner here, got there right when it opened at 5 pm, lucky us because it was mostly booked for the rest of the night. We were seated in the back room which has a wall of stone & candles (to set the "you can relax now" mood) & another wall displaying their vast wine selection. The waitress was professional & knowledgable but also down to earth and very accommodating! The food was fantastic! We've eaten at many high end restaurant & this one was still extraordinary. Here's what we got & can recommend: sweet potato bruschetta, goat cheese & beet salad, steak with truffle cauliflower mash (you've never had cauliflower taste so good!!), garlic mashed potatoes, creme brûlée & brownie."

  • "Tried Vin 48 for the first time after coming to Beaver Creek for over 5 years. Wanted something different and WOW what a find!!! Be sure to get a reservation since the place was packed on a Friday night. Waiter friendly and knowledgable about the specials and overall menu. Scallops, Smoke Salmon and salad for starters were out of this world good. The duck breast was cooked perfect medium rare and tender for duck. The lobster special was also excellent without being too rich. Tender as can be and tasty. We splurged on dessert (carrot cake & brownie)...both would be ordered again and we ate every last crumb. Outstanding overall in service, food selection, taste and service....cannot wait to go back."

I would get either dish again in a heartbeat. They also have a really extensive list of wines by the glass which was a nice option. Unfortunately we were too full to order dessert, but they brought out a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a candle in it anyway and of course we couldn't say no :-) It was a great visit all around. I would come back if I'm in the area again."

  • "This place is always at the top of our list when we plan for places to dine every year we are in town. They made a few subtle changes to the menu and wine list. No worries the great food and atmosphere are the same and maybe even better. The staff is knowledgable and always friendly. We loved everything we ordered. Among our favorites were the salmon tartar, the bison carpaccio and the sticky cake. Vin 48 is still a keeper!"

  • "We were a group of 11 and had the back room behind the wine cellar. It was a perfect spot for a big group. Mike was our server, his food knowledge and ability to accommodate a very "fun" group was impressive. Food was great, wine was delicious and he didn't rush us. We didn't want to be the last people in the restaurant but knowing it was a special occasion he didn't rush us. VERY THOUGHTFUL. We will return."
