  • "We were delighted to find Vin Vie. It is well located on Peachtree St. just north of Piedmont Hospital. Handsomely decorated in a European style, inviting, tables not too close together. The menu is a combination of traditional French bistro foods and steaks and chops for the more American tastes The food was excellent with rave reviews for the seared fois gras, the frogs legs and the mussels. Also an excellent filet mignon.The endive salad was outstanding. The bread (biscuit style) was wonderful, along with delicious desserts, all made in house. The wine list was extensive with good choices."

  • "We ate here for the first time last Saturday. On the basis of first impression, the decor is gaudy and uninviting. The servers and service were good. The food, however left much to be desired. One diner ordered the lamb chops, priced at $34. She got six tasty chops with a little dipping, spreading sauce. That's all. I would expect some sort of side vegetable included in this price. Any sides are ala carte. Another friend had the boef bourgignon. It, too, was tasty, but not an authentic preparation. Mussels were overcooked with a paucity of sauce and served with two charred slices of french bread. The one good item was the endive salad. The mix of greens and dressing were very good."

  • "Excellent new French focused restaurant. The food was delicious. I had a filet topped with seared foie gras and it was memorable. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Cher, even hand stuffed some blue cheese olives for my martini when she found that the bar did not stock them. Easy valet parking at the door. The only nit I have is the interior is very dimly lit and the first 2 top table they offered us was a horrible, small round table even though the restaurant was not full. When I refused it they did remedy it with a very comfortable booth in the back. We will definitely return."

  • "Went to Vin Vie for the first time on Thursday night. Had a drink at the well stocked bar before heading to our table. Not very crowded, but they've only been open 2 months and it was pouring rain -- BTW: great valet parking -- right at the front door! Their mussels were excellent! I had the rib eye and the steak was great. Nice cut of meat and cooked just how I ordered. Get the whipped potatoes -- amazing! Our waiter topped off the evening with truffle balls for desert which I had with a glass of port on the covered front patio. All in all -- I'd go again and recommend to friends."

  • "We started with a cocktail at the bar to make sure we experienced the whole restaurant. When we finished we told the host that we were ready to be seated. I had asked for a table for people watching and that's exactly what we received. I looked over the wine list, mostly French, after a conversation with the sommelier we decided to start with a glass of white with our first courses and ordered a bottle with entrees. The food was great, the service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a great experience!"

  • "I hope people give this restaurant a chance. The food is really good, but the decor is really bad. You know all the Paris decor you see at TJ Maxx, Home Goods, etc...that is what they've used to furnish their restaurant. All the same cliche art work, Paris pillows, etc...it was all a little tacky especially for the price point of the restaurant. The food though, was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly, hot, and full of flavor. If they can match the ambience to the food, they'll have a real winner on their hands!"

The appetizers were delicious "make sure you try the home made bread." The main course was served hot and full of flavor. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and involved. We had a chance to talk to the chef. He was recently featured on TV in Atlanta. I will definitely go back to Vin Vie again on my next visit to Atlanta."

  • "ordered a vodka tonic- tonic machine was fiat. ordered a Gibson- they didn't have cocktail onions. ordered a glass of champagne- it was sour & flat from being opened too long. we both ordered rib eyes which were very tender & good if a little heavy on the char. escargot were just ok- creamed spinach was too salty & not traditional in spite of asking how it was prepared. frites were good. foie gras was excellent. cream brûlée was lovely. flourless chocolate cake was dense & fudge like which was not what was described or wanted. wine list ok- not big but broad selection. not sure the bartender us the best. would try it again after open awhile longer."

  • "Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Vin Vie Bistro Monday. For me, Belgian endive salad with white wine vinaigrette (SUPER), candied walnuts, fourme d'ambert, pan seared salmon filet frites with herb potatoes, mustard aioli and white chocolate mousse. For my partner, seared Foie Gras with Lavender honey fig marmalade (YUM), grilled hanger steak frites with herb potatoes, spicy aioli, and Crème Brûlée - vanilla bean custard with turbinado. Scrumptious!! But the crowning event was the bottle of Chapoutier, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône (Outstanding). Very nice ambiance, great wait staff, delicious food - it was nice to step into France again right here in Atlanta! Highly recommended."

  • "This place is very good and we were impressed with our food and wait staff. We didn't find it overly pricy for French food in the Buckhead area. I must say the decor is very modern and romantic. I was with a friend so I will be looking forward to bringing my husband. They have a very nice room that can accommodate about 14 people. The menu is not extensive but it did have a varied offering of dishes. It is in a location where there are other restaurants you can walk to to enjoy a cocktail elsewhere if so inclined."

  • "I felt like we were at a 4 star restaurant, we had 3 people servicing out table and they were very attentive and times out our meal. The food was so delicious that we overate. We shared the cheese and fruit plate which was so good we kept it to snack on after we finished our main course.I had the Filet with potatoe purée. The meat was so tender and delicious. We had the creme brûlée with Nutella for dessert! So decadent and yummy!!! Highly recommend."

  • "Went through all 3 courses and hands down one one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Everything was very tasty and i spoke to the manager about where they sourced their meat because it was very flavorful and tender. We had the cheese plate, followed by the rack of lamb and the filet, and closed it out with the flourless chocolate cake and nutella creme brûlée. Every course was amazing and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients and had some great recommendations. Wine list is very reasonable in price compared to other restaurants. We splurged and had a bottle of silver oak but there are many other wines on the list that are very reasonably priced for the quality of experience in this restaurant."

  • "Everything was perfect! We had been looking for a local French restaurant that served beef bourguignon and we found the brand new establishment called Vin Vie Bistro that's located in Atlanta. Our server, Victoria was an absolute pleasure. She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the food and the wine list. The beef bourguignon was succulent and so tender that it seemed to melt right in your mouth. I can't say enought about the delicious biscuits and butter that is made in-house. And you definitely have to try the white chocolate souffle for dessert; it is sheer bliss for your taste buds!"

  • "Wow! Can't wait to go back! The proprietor Laurend Abraham has experience running one of the top restaurants in the USA, LeBec Fin in Philly, and was the F&B manager at the St. Regis, ATL. He's setting some high standards. From the house-made rolls & butter to the quality of the meats on the steakhouse selection, this is top-notch. Loved the fact that the menu has ALL of the traditional French bistro selections like Beef Bourguignon, Steak Tartare, and Duck Confit on a frisee salad. House made sorbets & desserts, too."
