Our able bartenders shake and stir classic and contemporary cocktails in a space evocative of a Prohibition-era speakeasy.

Diner Reviews
  • "We dine at Village Whiskey every time we stay at Revel in AC (every few months). It has become one of our vacation spots. We always ask for Galena as she is very personable and a great waitress! Food was great and service was excellent! Celebrated my birthday and definitely recommend the chocolate cookie dessert - it was amazing!!! We'll be back again next month and can't wait to return!"

  • "We reserved a table, but wound up taking advantage of their happy hour at the bar. For under $60, we each had two sliders (burger and crab cake), shared an order of their famous duck fat fries with Sly Fox cheddar cheese, one drink each, and one dessert each. Anyone familiar with Garces restaurants knows this is a bargain. The barstaff was attentive and entertaining but not overbearing -- a perfect level of service. Save room for the S'Mores milkshake!"

  • "Of course you do...let's face it, it's not a huge menu and the burger is what Village Whiskey is known for. And it doesn't disappoint! Forget the name of the one I got (it wasn't the one with the foie gras) but it was delicious. So big it was hard to hold, tons of flavor, cooked just the way I wanted it. And you must get the duck fat fries. Super cripy and delish. Our group shared one of the night's specials, lobster mac and cheese, for an appetizer. Super rich and so tasty. Desserts were very good, too...we shared a cookie sundae type thing, as well as the s'more milk shake."

  • "Carlie, our server, was terrific. She made several good suggestions. And the Whiskey flights - what a cool menu option. Awesome burgers too."

  • "The BEST pulled pork Sandwich I ever had!!!! It was mouth watering and tender and delicious ! The staff was very gracious and attentive to our needs... I highly recommend this for an affordable taste of top notch delicious food!"

  • "The food at Village Whiskey is always great, but I always wish their menu was just a tiny bit bigger. Both their food and wine lists are semi limited, but the items I've had are always delicious! Definitely a restaurant I would recommend!!"

  • "The hotel highly recommended this place as it would be very hard to get into. The place was half empty. We were met by a hostess with a lace tank top and jeans. Hardly appropriate for any restaurant in my opinion. Service was nice. However, because of the lack of customers, we began to feel bothered every 5 minutes with our waitress checking in. We get the bill and were quite surprised to see that 2 apps, 3 beers, a salad and a bacon cheeseburger cost us $84. Save your change and go somewhere outside of the hotels. The food wasn't even that great. I've had better at local chain restaurants."

  • "Went here for dinner before a show at the Revel. Had a burger and duck fries. Both were excellent. Also had a couple mixed drinks, which were made to perfection. Staff was great, attentive and friendly. Only drawback was the price and small menu choices. I'd definitely go back."

  • "I went to Village Whiskey for lunch with my son. The food was great but I really went there to try a different scotch. The waiter recommended one for me that I never tried before. I was pleased with his selection."

  • "This place has amazing Food! Burger is outstanding! Duck Fat Fries to die for!! A must stop every-time in Atlantic City, New Jersey!"

  • "We have been to Village Whiskey quite a few times, after gambling, before shows, just for dinner. We made reservations this time, which is always a good idea. Space at the bar is hit or miss but we've been lucky a lot. Try the pickle menu for something different and try the clams casino. The whiskey menu is extensive, the drinks are pampered. It's all good, but the desserts are a little sparse. Bring Back the Blondie!!!!!"

  • "Ambience is good, but live music is extremely loud! Food was good, but too expensive for what you get."

  • "We've been here twice - once for dinner and another time for late-night drinks/snacks. Since it's a popular spot but on the smaller side, it gets crowded quickly after hours and on weekends, so definitely make a reservation. Great drinks & service - you must order the duck fat fries!"

  • "We enjoyed our experience. Our server was prompt, attentive and handsome ;) we both ordered the Cobb salad which was huge and very good. The duck fat fries were a bit saltier than I like but had a good flavor other than that. "

  • "Enjoyed great dinner on a Friday evening, as always food at Village Whiskey excellent. Tonight had Andrew serving, very positive, very attentive and was top of his game for the evening (despite some challenging tables around us). VW is an excellent dining choice to enjoy a "bar sandwich or platter" with a different flare to it... Garces doesn't do just ordinary and VW is no exception. Really enjoy this place and a personal suggestion is to include their DuckFat Fries in your meal choice... even if your just thinking salad!!"

  • "We thought the food was excellent; just the right amount of spices and very tasty. The portions were fair and overall the food was worth going to the restaurant. The service was good as our server was prompt but the food was delivered by someone else who had to ask what each person had. On the other hand the charges for the drinks were NYC prices with the glass of wines being $15 each so even though we had what we considered to be a light fare, the bill was close to $100."

  • "Everything we had was fantastic, but the Whiskey King was phenomenal and the duck fat fries were amazing! We loved the ambience, and it's definitely a place to go for a great business lunch or for foodies!"

  • "Went for a few appetizers, server was friendly. We had some shrimp , clams and fries. Duck fries are delicious. The place is comfortable. Only wish they had a selection of tap beers, only bottle beers"

  • "We had tickets to a show and wanted somewhere to have a light bite beforehand. We'd been in before for drinks and the duck fat fries, but never tried the food. The twenty for a burger with a couple I'd al a carte toppings seemed a little pricey until it entered the mouth. Unquestionably, the best burger I have ever tasted. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was very good as well. As always, the duck fats fries were tasty, and I recommend getting them with the sly fox cheddar sauce. If you're eating fries, why not go all the way? After the show we stopped back for some dessert. The caramel popcorn sundae and a vanilla bourbon milkshake ended our a very pleasant evening at the Revel."

  • "Love this place, felt very "new york" - it was fun and energetic. The burgers were awesome and the toppings were fantastic."

  • "This place is good. The burger was good, the fries were crazy good, the service was good. One of the better experiences at Revel. The only downside was the table full of loud, rude guidos next to us. I guess par the course in AC."

  • "Enjoy your whiskey in a sexy vibe. The staff were very attentive & knowledgeable. The decor was real upscale with those candles made it do romantic. I loved the fried pickles."

  • "Burgers are excellent, some of the best I've had. Other dishes are available including Crab Cakes and Shrimp & Grits, which are on my radar for the next visit. Cocktails are excellent, particularly the whiskey drinks. I'm partial to the Sazarac. However, there was a whiskey sampler (I forget what its called on the menu) of three different whiskeys - also on the "to do" list for next visit. Staff were absolutely great - personable and professional at once. Overall, definitely worth the visit."

  • "Outstanding fare for the burger enthusiast the enjoys a nice whiskey cocktail. Down to earth, professional and attentive staff that really seem to enjoy what they do - and, do it well. I loved the Whiskey King Burger with a side of Duck Fat Fries and a couple of Sazaracs. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a "do over"."

  • "The menu looked amazing. We ordered tater tots and cheese puffs to start. The tater tots were ok, but the frozen kind are way better. We ordered crab cakes, BBQ Pork Sandwiches, and a Veggie Burger. Not a single one of us liked our food. The crab cakes tasted like the frozen variety, and the sandwiches were just ok. We ordered Vanilla Bourbon milkshakes and a Nutella milkshake. It took them about 20-25 min to make them which was annoying. We waited, hoping these milkshakes would be worth it. They weren't. The Nutella milkshake tasted like any chocolate milkshake and the Vanilla Bourbon one was so strong, all you could taste was Bourbon. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our experience here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning"

  • "Stopped in during Restaurant Week to try their lunch menu. Alone, I sat at the bar. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and knew her stuff. Made me a superb Pimms cup to start. The lunch was very good as well. I ordered tater tots with a savory Vidalia onion mayo--outstanding--smoky/melt-in-your-mouth but still had a crunch. Ordered the 14-hour bbq pork sammy with the slaw served on it. Great sandwich--it wasn't just bbq sauce thrown on pork last minute. The ambiance was really a plus as well and I was struck by how crowded it was for a Thursday in the beginning of March. I would recommend this to a friend without question and look forward to returning for dinner."

  • "I made the reservation for my wife and I and we were leary at first. The menu looked fine but we are not really into going out to eat much but we decided to give it a try.It was one of the best times we have had.The food was awesome and very timely. Our waitress was outstanding! She is very pleasant and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed without being to pushy. We will definetly go back again."

  • "IT seems like if you are not a regular here you dont get good service or good food. Our waitress was annoyed with us when we had questions, and after our food came she never returned to the table. Expensive, overrated bar food."

  • "This is not our first trip to Village Whiskey and it will not be our last! The food is always great, the décor is nice, service is always friendly, and the beer list is phenomenal. This time around, for Valentine's Day, they had a bacon wrapped filet with a horseradish crust on special that they should add to the menu permanently! Even if you're not real hungry it's worth stopping by for the best french fries and chocolate milk shake you can find in the area."

  • "This was our 2nd visit to Village Whiskey. We love the atmosphere, and the food has always been good. This visit we just went for a couple burgers and the duck fat fries, but we felt that everything was delicious. Our only complaint would be about the drink prices. They have an extensive whiskey list (which obviously makes sense) but a very limited/pricey wine and beer list. There were only about 10 selections of wine with nothing priced under $12/glass. While there was a larger beer selection, basic beers were priced at $6 with more interesting beers falling between $7 and $9. Cocktails seemed to be around $12 and up. These prices make it hard to enjoy a second drink with dinner, and since we were staying at Revel we would have liked to."
