A word from Village Whiskey - Revel Atlantic City
Featuring a comprehensive selection of more than six dozen whiskeys alongside what has been called the country’s best burger, Village Whiskey is an instant classic. Envisioned by Iron Chef Jose Garces as a spot where he and his team could enjoy a drink and a snack after a long night in the kitchen, the restaurant’s focal point is the central bar that is home to their near-encyclopedic catalogue of Chef Garces’ favorite spirit, whiskey. Our able bartenders shake and stir classic and contemporary cocktails in a space evocative of a Prohibition-era speakeasy.

House Specialties: Whiskey King Burger, Duck Fat Fries with Sly Fox Cheddar Sauce, House Made Pickles, Raw Bar

Beverage Program: Full bar, with Atlantic City’s best selection of whiskeys. Featuring local craft beers and contemporary cocktails inspired by the Prohibition & Repeal eras.

Diner Reviews
  • "We thought the food was excellent; just the right amount of spices and very tasty. The portions were fair and overall the food was worth going to the restaurant. The service was good as our server was prompt but the food was delivered by someone else who had to ask what each person had. On the other hand the charges for the drinks were NYC prices with the glass of wines being $15 each so even though we had what we considered to be a light fare, the bill was close to $100."

  • "Everything we had was fantastic, but the Whiskey King was phenomenal and the duck fat fries were amazing! We loved the ambience, and it's definitely a place to go for a great business lunch or for foodies!"

  • "Went for a few appetizers, server was friendly. We had some shrimp , clams and fries. Duck fries are delicious. The place is comfortable. Only wish they had a selection of tap beers, only bottle beers"

  • "Hostess & servers were friendly, accommodating and on point. The food was great as well! We would definitely recommend!"

  • "Awesome spot for a big group! The duck fat fries are AMAZING! Definitely order them! Also the pickled menu is delicious, we had the pickled cherry tomatoes, really good."

  • "We had tickets to a show and wanted somewhere to have a light bite beforehand. We'd been in before for drinks and the duck fat fries, but never tried the food. The twenty for a burger with a couple I'd al a carte toppings seemed a little pricey until it entered the mouth. Unquestionably, the best burger I have ever tasted. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was very good as well. As always, the duck fats fries were tasty, and I recommend getting them with the sly fox cheddar sauce. If you're eating fries, why not go all the way? After the show we stopped back for some dessert. The caramel popcorn sundae and a vanilla bourbon milkshake ended our a very pleasant evening at the Revel."

  • "Love this place, felt very "new york" - it was fun and energetic. The burgers were awesome and the toppings were fantastic."

  • "This place is good. The burger was good, the fries were crazy good, the service was good. One of the better experiences at Revel. The only downside was the table full of loud, rude guidos next to us. I guess par the course in AC."

  • "Enjoy your whiskey in a sexy vibe. The staff were very attentive & knowledgeable. The decor was real upscale with those candles made it do romantic. I loved the fried pickles."

  • "Burgers are excellent, some of the best I've had. Other dishes are available including Crab Cakes and Shrimp & Grits, which are on my radar for the next visit. Cocktails are excellent, particularly the whiskey drinks. I'm partial to the Sazarac. However, there was a whiskey sampler (I forget what its called on the menu) of three different whiskeys - also on the "to do" list for next visit. Staff were absolutely great - personable and professional at once. Overall, definitely worth the visit."

  • "Outstanding fare for the burger enthusiast the enjoys a nice whiskey cocktail. Down to earth, professional and attentive staff that really seem to enjoy what they do - and, do it well. I loved the Whiskey King Burger with a side of Duck Fat Fries and a couple of Sazaracs. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a "do over"."

  • "The menu looked amazing. We ordered tater tots and cheese puffs to start. The tater tots were ok, but the frozen kind are way better. We ordered crab cakes, BBQ Pork Sandwiches, and a Veggie Burger. Not a single one of us liked our food. The crab cakes tasted like the frozen variety, and the sandwiches were just ok. We ordered Vanilla Bourbon milkshakes and a Nutella milkshake. It took them about 20-25 min to make them which was annoying. We waited, hoping these milkshakes would be worth it. They weren't. The Nutella milkshake tasted like any chocolate milkshake and the Vanilla Bourbon one was so strong, all you could taste was Bourbon. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our experience here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning"

  • "The Duck Fat Fries with Short Ribs and Cheddar are to die for! I will go back every time I am in AC to get these. Burgers were also delicious! We will be back!"

  • "Unfortunately, our waiter was quite overwhelmed. We waited 10 minutes for condiments, after our food arrived and by the time we finally had our first bite, it was cold."

  • "Stopped in during Restaurant Week to try their lunch menu. Alone, I sat at the bar. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and knew her stuff. Made me a superb Pimms cup to start. The lunch was very good as well. I ordered tater tots with a savory Vidalia onion mayo--outstanding--smoky/melt-in-your-mouth but still had a crunch. Ordered the 14-hour bbq pork sammy with the slaw served on it. Great sandwich--it wasn't just bbq sauce thrown on pork last minute. The ambiance was really a plus as well and I was struck by how crowded it was for a Thursday in the beginning of March. I would recommend this to a friend without question and look forward to returning for dinner."

  • "I made the reservation for my wife and I and we were leary at first. The menu looked fine but we are not really into going out to eat much but we decided to give it a try.It was one of the best times we have had.The food was awesome and very timely. Our waitress was outstanding! She is very pleasant and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed without being to pushy. We will definetly go back again."

  • "IT seems like if you are not a regular here you dont get good service or good food. Our waitress was annoyed with us when we had questions, and after our food came she never returned to the table. Expensive, overrated bar food."

  • "This is not our first trip to Village Whiskey and it will not be our last! The food is always great, the décor is nice, service is always friendly, and the beer list is phenomenal. This time around, for Valentine's Day, they had a bacon wrapped filet with a horseradish crust on special that they should add to the menu permanently! Even if you're not real hungry it's worth stopping by for the best french fries and chocolate milk shake you can find in the area."

  • "This was our 2nd visit to Village Whiskey. We love the atmosphere, and the food has always been good. This visit we just went for a couple burgers and the duck fat fries, but we felt that everything was delicious. Our only complaint would be about the drink prices. They have an extensive whiskey list (which obviously makes sense) but a very limited/pricey wine and beer list. There were only about 10 selections of wine with nothing priced under $12/glass. While there was a larger beer selection, basic beers were priced at $6 with more interesting beers falling between $7 and $9. Cocktails seemed to be around $12 and up. These prices make it hard to enjoy a second drink with dinner, and since we were staying at Revel we would have liked to."

  • "My party of 4, including my 80 year old mother had a reservation for my birthday celebration. We were seated promptly next to a party of 12 boisterous men. They were quite loud which we could have accepted, however, the repetitious foul language was rather unpleasant and the staff made no effort to either re-seat my party or assuage any concerns we may have had until we had finished our meal which was too late. My husband was most embarrassed in front of his wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. Management should have made an effort to either re-seat us or ask the offending party to curb their language. It was hard to enjoy a meal with loud "f-bombs" being dropped every few minutes."

  • "this is a good place IF your in Revel and IF you need a shot of whiskey... The food is on par with Fridays which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but considering the price, it should be a few steps above. Lots of fried cheesy things that you like after too much to drink. The bartenders are very harried and are rushing around, but Im not sure why...I had to send a cosmo back because it was terrible, how do you screw up a cosmo?"

  • "We celebrated my wife's birthday at Village Whiskey at Revel Atlantic city. We had been at the Philadelphia location before. The one in AC is much more spacious!!! the Food was excellent and the ambience fantastic. Overall a great experience."

  • "My husband and I had a reservation.... And were seated in a great spot. We looked over the menus...typical burger selection and a great whiskey selection. We continued to sit... Watching multiple servers pass us by without any acknowledgement to us at all. We hadn't even received water after being seated for 15 minutes. Shortly after... The woman whom was supposed to be serving us walked by... Nothing in hand... And said "I will be with you shortly". Keep in mind... There were only two tables sat other than us...the place was empty! Unfortunately after being seated for 20 minutes... And then being knowingly pushed off again for another few minutes.... We walked out. I advised the hostess what happened and she acted like this happened often."

  • "I've been to the Philly location and I will say I much prefer the setup in AC. There is just more tables and better seating for a group of 4 people. The food is very similar to the Philly location, very good! Burgers are delicious, highly recommend the pickled cauliflower and cheese puffs. Nice cocktails. Overall really enjoyable experience."

  • "A group of friends enjoyed a delicious meal at this great spot in The Revel last fall. We all loved the menu selections, burgers, fries, and appetizers. I especially enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich which was prepared with very interesting spices and garnishes. Of course the extensive drink menu was perfect. We will return again soon."

  • "The burgers were huge and perfectly prepared, but our bill for 2 burgers, sodas, 1 order of fries (yum!) 1 adult beverage and a salad(also very good!) was over $75 before tip. I recognize premium ingredients are involved and the Garces name, but for a casino resort that is struggling to attract people, that's a high price point to clear."

  • "My husband had the specialty burger with the foie gras. He's been waiting to try that for a while and it lived up to its reputation. I constructed my own burger and ate the whole thing which is very unusual for me since it was an 8 oz,. burger. Both were cooked to perfection as per our order. I started with the tomato basil bisque which was outstanding. He saved room for the burger. We shared the duck fat fries with cheese sauce. Thicker fries, I guess to stand up to the duck fat. Very Good! All in all a very satisfying experience."

  • "Last Friday I was lucky enough to eat the perfect thing at the perfect time, every bite was better then the previous one. Tender, tasty, and succulent are just a few ways I would describe the Whiskey King Burger. My only fear is that the next time I order it that it won't be as good."

  • "This was our second time here and of course the experience was better since our server was better. Kamal was excellent and added to a great meal. The noise level is still out of control, but oh well. Note-in an already noisy establishment, don't book a grunge rock band. Overall, we had a great meal."
