Her eyes again and said does any body else want anything. She made us feel like we were

We usually stop at the bar for a drink or two and then move to a table for dinner. Village Tavern is one of our favorites and the other 2 couples feel the same. The service was "very good" given then fact that the restaurant was very busy Saturday night. Meatloaf was really stellar. Everyone in our party said the Mac-n-cheese was the best they ever tasted. Benzinger Merlot was excellent wine choice. Waiter started off very pushy and without personality but did a good job serving. Fresh green beans and its apparent that fresh home made food is the norm here. The food is always good, no matter what you order. The service is outstanding. Whether you call ahead or make a reservation, they are accommodating to make you feel important. I was surprised that through Open Table my wife and I had a 6:45 p.m. reservation on Mother's Day and they honored it. Wait staff has always been knowledgeable and friendly. It appeared that having a reservation, however, gave us no priority over those who walked in at the same time. We all had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. I checked "Kid-Friendly", but readers should understand that having screaming and crying children at the next table was not a positive part of our experience.
