Village Tavern BroomfieldConsidering it was Mothers Day...Revierws on Mothers Day can be rough, lots of kids, lots of big parties, chefs trying coordinate it all can be the stuff of failure!
Cool thing was Salomon on the Kids menu, he loved it. Moms Colorado Chicken, wonderful. My Rib-Eye was butchered crooked, so it was over cooked on one side and perfect on the other. Only that kept the rating to 4 stars.
I always have low excpecetations on Mothers Day, but this day was way above and beyond. Good jobs guys!! Prior to this visit, 3 neighborhood families celebrated New Year's Eve (2012) together (14 of us in all) and we had a blast. However, then, we had to wait forever to order our food! I think it was that the restaurant didn't have enough service folks as the waiter seemed to be rushing around and was very nice once he got to us. The food was wonderful for our group of 5! The sweet potato fries dusted with cinnamon sugar are not to be missed. I really enjoy their burgers and like that I can get a good variety of options on the burger. The lunch portion of salmon is huge. It will come medium as it is sashimi grade.
