  • "We had a wonderful meal & excellent service! However, we were evacuated due to smoke boiling out of a/c system! Very calm and orderly exit, our waitress boxed our dessert!"

  • "Very busy but honored our reservation on time. Loud and hard to converse. Couldn't be helped because of number of people. I'm glad they are so busy."

  • "Village Tavern is extra busy on Verizon Wireless concert nights so we booked preferred online seating and requested our favorite server Brittany. We were quickly seated and the food and service were up to usual high standards!"

  • "I came with my coworkers. I love the salads. I had the Cobb salad this time. It was great. Both my coworkers had hamburgers, they both said the burgers were great. It was close to work which was a plus also. There I plenty of parking and some shady spots. This is my third visit, and each visit has been consistently good."

  • "We took our sons for a birthday dinner. Our server was terrific and friendly. We had a minor issue with my husband's dinner (fish and chips) but the manager and our server corrected the issue very promptly. Overall another great dinner at the Tavern."

  • "Village Tavern is always a great place to dine. We like to celebrate special occasions there. We also like to entertain out-of-town guests, because the food is always great and the ambience can be intimate and/or crowd-friendly. The food preparation is always top-notch, and the staff is well-trained, professional and very friendly."

  • "We have been here many times and food and service have been first rate. No different this time"

  • "The VT is the best! We go once a week and always sit in Brittany's section. The food is awesome by itself but Brittany is what makes the tavern extra special. She knows exactly what we like and always pays attention to the smallest details!"

  • "I met a friend for dinner. The food was exceptionally wonderful and our waitress, Alyce, amazing. She had such a great approach to her customers...checking up with perfect timing to make sure all was good. It was a great evening and have always loved both the food and service here."

  • "We were surprised at how big the restaurant was. However, it did not negatively impact service or quality. We went there for lunch and would go back for lunch and would also try it for dinner."

  • "Pros: above average food, above average service Cons: a frantic/noisy environment, steak was not cooked properly"

  • "First time at Village Tavern. Service was great, food was very good. We did have to send Filet back once to get it cooked correctly, but turned out OK. Good spot for couples or families."

  • "I had eaten at the Village Tavern in North Carolina for years so was thrilled when I found out there was one here in the Atlanta area. We are fairly regular customers and my favorite dish is their shrimp & grits, which is wonderful. However, the past 4 or 5 times I've been to the restaurant I have noticed that the portion has gotten smaller and smaller, and the price has gone up. On the past visit, there were not even enough grits to cover the bottom of the bowl. Really!! How expensive are grits! I actually ate at the Village Tavern in NC a few weeks ago and their portion sizes were same as always, so I have to think it is the Alpharetta restaurant that is just being chintzy. It's disappointing because we really liked the restaurant."

  • "We ordered a salad before our dinner and the food came out before we even finished our salad. My steak was suppose to be medium and it came out rare."

  • "The menu looks like a wide variety of interesting dishes...but the food was not any better than any chain restaurant. It was okay. I mentioned to the waitstaff as we entered that it was my husband's birthday. They said "we've got you covered"...and then they did nothing. Overall, it wasn't special and I probably wouldn't choose it over any other place."

  • "From the red door entry to the from the stone-covered red door entry to the white cloth napkins and stone fireplace your visit to Village Tavern begins with an upscaled, casual Country Club-yet-local neighborhood feel. Ladies enjoy a Peach on the Beach cocktail and warm bread while selecting from a widely varied menu which includes Vegan and GF options. The service is outstanding and the food will not disappoint."

  • "While we enjoyed the ambiance, we were not at all impressed with the food. I had the risotto, which should be rich and creamy. THis was bland and watery - it was like eating rice sitting in chicken broth. We did enjoy the wine by the glass offerings. However, with so many other options of similar fare within a 10 mile or less radius, this was a waste of our money. Highly disappointing when we rarely get a night without our kids. I'd pick something else before I'd suggest the Village Tavern"

  • "We have been going to the Village Tavern in Alpharetta for 11 or 12 years. Dinner this past July 4th was our first disappointment. We both had prime rib and what ever the cut was, it was not the prime rib we have enjoyed over the years. It was a tough and a dense meat with a thick fat rind that was so tough it was difficult to cut even with a steak knife. When the meal came out the garlic mashed potatoes were hardened and looked like they were sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The best of the evening was the iceberg wedge salad, which was as fresh and flavorful as ever. This was our anniversary, and it was a disappointing start to the evening. I hope this was not a sign of this restaurant losing focus on its customers."

  • "The weather was perfect for being outside. So we ate outside. The burgers are really good as well as the meatloaf. The others had the fish tacos yummy and tun a salad. We enjoy dining here."

  • "We wanted a very casual dinner so booked VT. While being seated next to a large table I noticed they were done w dinner and about to leave. What I didn't see was a family of five w 3 young children two booths from us. Both were mistakes since the big table started to leave but lingered for ten mins standing behind me saying goodbyes. My wife and I couldn't talk during their departure. Then the youngest of the three kids start fake crying and for the next half hour the parents forget how to shh or discipline. So as we get a complimentary dessert since it's our 44th anniversary, the hostess seats yet another young family of four(two young boys peering over the booth) next to us. Not a great night for talking or listening at our table"

  • "Second time at the Village Tavern, this time for an early evening Sunday dinner. My wife and I had the southern shrimp and grits, our daughter had the asian salad. Everything was great - food, service, our booth location, noise level - no issues at all. We get to Alpharetta occasionally and the Village Tavern has turned into our favorite spot to enjoy lunch or dinner when there. Please keep up the good work!"

  • "This restaurant is a hidden gem in Alpharetta. ..we have never had any problems. There is never a wait with a reservation. There menu is very diverse...steak for me and a gluten free menu for wife. You will not be disappointed!"

  • "We go to Village Tavern once or twice a month, and the food is always very good. Nice and varied menu -- nothing spectacular but always well prepared and the food comes to the table hot (it's amazing how many restaurants don't do this). Excellent seafood and sandwiches, and tasty starters. Wine list is OK. Service is always attentive and generally good, but what is it about some of the male waiters at this restaurant -- they are often talkative to the point of being intrusive. I don't mind being chatted up a bit by a waiter, but when the conversation goes on for more than a few minutes, it's too much. I guess we could be rude but prefer not to be, but there are 2-3 waiters who need to dial it back."

  • "Almost every Friday night we go to Village Tavern, later in the evening. We like being able to get a reservation, in our favorite booth with our favorite waitress. We also love the manager Kevin Buckle and our weekly server Brittany. They both know what we like to order as well as how to cook it. Village Tavern is a cozy romantic place where everyone greets you like a friend. We continue to bring our favorite friends and family to Village Tavern for our special occassions."

  • "My husband and I have been visiting this nearby restaurant for many years and the food and service have been consistently very good. Last night our server Brittany gave us a "tour" of the new menu items, and we tried a new dessert - warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream and FRESH strawberries and blueberries, delicious! Brittany paid close attention to the details of our order - no tomatoes in the salad, no sugar/cinnamon on the sweet potato fries - and got everything just right. She was professional and friendly and her descriptions of the new menu items made us plan to return soon to continue working our way through the updated menu."

  • "We have been dining at VT for years but realized when we got there that the menu has changed quite a bit. Even the wine menu changed. I did not recognize any of the staff and it made me wonder if they have a new manager. Food and service was as good as ever. Plan to return"

  • "This restaurant was chosen for the many food choices and its proximity to our workplace. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and quickly seated. Our waiter was helpful with suggestions and the food was excellent. Everyone had something different and all were very pleased with their choices. We stayed for coffee and dessert and did not feel rushed. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent food and friendly service."

  • "My husband and I had dinner Sunday night here and the food and service were top notch. Our waiter Mark did one of the best services I have had in a long time. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. He gave us several suggestions that was his favorites and the ones that we chose were great. You have to try their homemade potato chips covered with BBQ sauce. He also suggested the crab cake sandwich that was to die for. An overall great time. We will be returning there in the future and requesting Mark again."

  • "First time at the Village Tavern. Came a long way to meet up with one of our daughters who was in town for an appointment (and who came a longer distance). Everyone made us feel welcome, found us a booth even though we didn't request one originally in the reservation process. Food was great, no issues, no worries. We will be back in about a week for a special dinner."

  • "Wonderful menu with lots of selections for adults and children. Fabulous service! Fast, accurate, delicious. Will go to this restaurant again and again. Way better than many others we have tried in this area and very reasonable for the quality of the food and service."

  • "My husband and I decided to try the Village Tavern before A concert at the Verizon Amphitheater.... We are glad we did! The food from the appetizer to dessert was delicious. Try the bruschetta.... You won't be disappointed. The restaurant is really close to the Amphitheater. We will go back soon."

  • "We had dinner on Friday. Promptly seated; alternative booth requested and granted. Food was decent. Prime rib was a little fatty, but otherwise good. Fish and Chips was very good. Wine was good and reasonably priced. That's why I like VT. It's good for the money."

  • "Everything is good here, prices aren't bad. Plenty on the menu to satisfy foodie adults and accommodate kids at the same time. Personal favorite meal is the calamari appetizer, followed by the soy-glazed trout with mac and cheese and spinach sides. The mac and cheese would be worth it all by itself."
