Nestled in the heart of the old West Village of Buckhead,The Village Tap Southern Kitchen and Ale House offers traditional southern fare in a hip but comfortable atmosphere. Specialty dishes include fried chicken drizzled with clover honey and slow cooked pot roast served classic meat n‘ three style. In addition to the standard menu, daily chef driven specials utilize the current seasons’ best ingredients. The full bar features a strong line-up of local and imported craft beers as well as the neighborhood’s favorite macro-brewed staples. Creative cocktails and a thoughtful wine list ensure that there is something for everyone.

  • Tasty Southern Food & Great Prices

prices were great, food was tasty. Nice selection of beers on tap. Brussel Sprouts and shrimp/grits were EXCELLENT! Avoid the Caesar salad - nothing special, boring, overpriced. The sides were great too. Wished they offered a "vegetable plate" so you could get a little break if you are just ordering sides. Fritters were good, but only 4 in the order.

  • Rare in Buckhead: Good & Reasonable

Village Tap is a great addition to Buckhead, where good cooking at reasonable prices is in very short supply. The menu's a little limited but the kitchen shows a deft touch. Pimento Cheese Fritters are lighter than you'd expect, and the fried chicken is consistently tasty. The Significant Other, who likes brussels sprouts, reports they're the best she's ever had. Drink prices are reasonable for Buckhead, and the cocktails are generous. A fun little place.

everything was great, but this is the third time we've been and a couple of the dishes (chicken and mac and cheese still need some work). Overall though, a fan of the place!

Looks like an old Shane's rib shack....tastes delicious. You won't find an easier, tastier, cheaper meal in Buckhead. Fried chicken, shrimp and grits, pimento cheese fritter. Nuff said. Dark and stormy needs some work. Buckhead needed this. Go. Now.

The food was delicious. Not the best Southern food in Atlanta by far, but still great. The best part of the experience was the ambiance. A nice laid-back place with a very cool vibe. A good diverse drink list as well. If you're in to Southern Cocktails this is a great place to hit up.
