  • Parking Details: The Village Belle offers valet service on Saturday nights conveniently located in front of the restaurant, while the neighborhood also offers 2 hour free parking on any of the street spots and city parking lots withing walking distance. Valet service is provided on busier nights, but please call ahead to see if we can assist with parking needs on other nights or for special events. There are 2 handicapped spaces located adjacent to the restaurant.
A word from Village Belle
Village Belle is set in the heart of the Queen Village section of Philadelphia's first neighborhood. Village Belle is a 100 seat restaurant and bar. The bar, which was built in the early 1900's boasts a 26ft, solid piece of mahogany, antique lighting and comfortable seating. The dining room compliments the old and the new with rich toned banquettes encasing two cozy dining areas while classic tile and hard wood floors adorn the rest of the space. The room overlooks the neighborhood's lush park situated on the Delaware river, and is the ideal location to view fireworks on the 4th of July and New Years Eve.
We offer cafe seating on Front St and along the side, weather permitting.
The chef, Louis Campanaro, raised just blocks away on Queen street, draws inspiration from the bold flavors of the Mediterranean and plans to change his value driven menu seasonally.

  • "My boyfriend and I recently visited this cute restaurant in my neighborhood and had an absolute fabulous experience! Our waiter, Chris, and another waiter, I unfortunately never caught his name, were appropriately attentive during our entire visitmaking sure we were well taken care of. The food itself was phenomenal. Most notably the mussel appetizer was delicious and a great value. I highly suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to visit in the Queen Village area."

Entree Campanelle Pasta Dish and Village Burger were good Entrees. Friendly server couldn't do enough to make our experience enjoyable. Great neighborhood restaurant in the old school (in a great way), with laid back ambiance, with fairly price food and drink and with welcoming service."

  • "I've been here a couple of times and each time it was awesome. The food was delicious, and my melon mojito was amazing! I suggest geting the crab cake appetizer. It was so good that I ordered another one for dessert after my main dish. This was the type of food that makes you just sit and stare into space thinking happy thoughts! I love the fact that this place is never packed, and the service is impeccable!"

I had the filet mignon special, an excellent piece of meat perfectly prepared, and my companion enjoyed the pork chop - salads to start, no room for dessert. An all-around great experience, and I will definitely return."

  • "Nice restaurant, good wait staff (Nicole our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable). Our reservation was at 5:30pm so it was quiet then. We started with trio of meatball sliders and crab cake (both tasty, filling). My main course was one of the biggest pork chops I've seen topped with sautéed peppers and potatoes, my dinner companion opted for shrimp and pasta. We were both more than satisfied with meal, and was reasonably priced. Unfortunately there was no room left for dessert. Would highly recommend. Thanks"

Our server was outstanding, so helpful about he being gluten free and genuinely happy and nice. The NZ Sauvignon Blanc is delicious and so was the beet salad, the mussels were pretty bland though....which some might prefer but Judy not my favorite. I would definitely come back though as we did have a great time!"

We chose Queen Village this time so we could stroll around South Street on a gorgeous sunny day. We ate early - before the dinner crowds arrived. Everyone at Village Belle was friendly. Our waiter knew the nuances of the menu and helped us order! The food was delicious & the portions were perfect. THE CAMPANELLE PASTA WAS FABULOUS! WE WILL BE BACK! The only downside, of course, is the street parking; but that won't keep us from returning!"

The price of the food and the mood they are trying to set don't match-up with the service and food quality. The service wasn't bad, but it's not $25 entree price service. They are trying to be a restaurant that they’re not and would do themselves a service by toning it back a notch and dropping prices by about $6 an item. Their cocktails sounded good on paper but were poorly implemented. They brought normal bread out with straight-up cooking olive oil. The entrees did not match their description not the menu. None of the above would matter so much if they weren't trying to be this fancy expensiv"

  • "Food was delicious, the bar is beautiful, but the dining area is kind of a weird atmosphere, it doesn't fit with the old beautiful bar. It kind of reflects a diner type feel but I don't think it's the right fit. At first, we were some of the only people there so the noise level was fine, but then a large, very loud party came in towards the end of our meal and took the noise to a whole new level and kind of ruined it for the other diners, luckily we were almost finished. All in all, good experience and excellent meal. Good to know a restaurant with good food is right around the corner."

  • "Weather was lousy so restaurant was rather empty and quiet! Despite being having a full bar, Restaurant was listed as a BYOB and stated that 1 bottle of wine was permitted per two dinners. When my wife and I showed up with a bottle of wine, we were quickly told that they were not a BYOB and they would have to charge $15 to open the wine. When I protested and reminded them of their current BYOB listings, they made the decision to waive the charge. Everything else was very good including the food and service."
