Diner Reviews
  • "The best restaurant in Tulsa! The best food, service, and a good wine list. Authentic Italian with a very Fine Dining quality. Chef Yani and Sergio always satisfy!"

  • "Using opentable to make reservation online was convenient but had one HUGE downfall. After making dinner reservations for a party of four we get to the restaurant and find out we're sitting at a table that is seated for 8 due to not having enough tables. This will be avoided next time by calling the restaraunt directly to make reservations so that both couples can seat properly. Thanks, but no thanks, opentable....."

  • "Second time to eat here on a special occasion. Food and service was excellent. Owner visited our table and spoke with us afterwards to apologize for a loud, obnoxious diner who was talking and speaking on her cell phone for everyone to hear."

  • "Villa Ravenna is the perfect mix of fine cuisine with an elegant atmosphere but not too over the top on formality. Perfectly comfortable there in business casual. Waitstaff was great and food was outstanding."

  • "We have dined at Villa Ravenna many times and always find it to be exceptionally good. Menu choices, wait staff, service and ambiance are always spot on. The occasional couple will bring small children in, which would be fine if they were well behaved, but sometimes they detract from the romantic feel of it. Other than that, we can find no fault with VR. Delicious!"

  • "Atmosphere is engaging. Server was nice. But, two in our group had veal which was thicker than expected and chewy. A little disappointing because veal can be so wonderful when tender and properly prepared."

  • "The food was excellent and the service was great. The owner came out and talked to us to ask how everything was. I will be going back. Some of the guests at our table had been there before and they keep going back."

  • "Food was excellent, Wild Boar appetizer is a great choice. I've had several of the entrees now and each one is exceptional. Service is good but not great."

  • "My husband and I made reservations here for our birthday (we share the same birthday). We had never been here before, so we were looking forward to the experience. The food was wonderful. However, after being served our appetizer, my husband looked upset. He leaned over and told me that the wait staff had bumped into his arm and side walking by about 3 or 4 times and never said "excuse me" or "I'm sorry" and told us we wouldn't be back. I was extremely disappointed in this level of service, and it ruined our birthday. We will not be back."

  • "I tried the roasted peers with gorgonzola and they were excellent. The homemade gnocchi was soft and tasted like potatoes (rather than flour), just like they are supposed to. The white sauce was tasty, but very rich. The tiramisu was great. The portions were not oversized, which I always appreciate. Nice environment, good service. My other three guests also liked it a lot. We intend to return."

  • "Villa Ravenna offers what no conglomerate can in terms of quality, style, and uniqueness. The food quality is with a taste and presentation which bursts of detail and care from a kitchen truly attempting to share with each item. The atmosphere is quaint but extremely inviting produced by a man in the front of house, owner and visionary, who truely cares for each individual's experience with a genuine concern for hospitality. I leave this place with a feeling I have been offered a glimpse into a person's cultural upbringing through a dinning experience. One leaves not a restaurant, but an intimate glimpse into a man's charished memories of home."

  • "We have always enjoyed VR, but this meal was exceptional. Our waiter took time to describe each "featured" item not on the menu or the daily list of specials. We ordered both anti pasta and salad from that selection since they were sharing or family style for 4. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, whether something new or an old stand by."

  • "As a New York Italian, I did not expect to find good Italian food in Tulsa, but had enough steaks during my trip to the region and took chance. Villa Ravenna was outstanding. Our waiter, Jesse, stared the evening with a history of where the owners came from in Italy, how they made their way here, the type of food for which they are known, which was a really nice touch. My colleague and I each had the foot-long prawn special, and the prosciutto salad - both excellent. Al in all, a great night at an outstanding restaurant."

  • "I have always had a amazing visit to your restaurant. But this particular day wasn't as good. My son ordered soup and I ordered a simple pasta. It took forever for our lunch. A family came in that was obvious regular customers and they were completely served and were done with their meal before my son and I ever received a simple soup and pesto pasta. So I was disappointed. I don't relate well to favoritism. A good way to lose a new and valued customer. I just learned about your restaurant a month ago. And have already been there 5 times! And have brought new customers to you.. I will be back but I hope that doesn't happen again. Thank you. Terese Mullinax"

  • "My visit here was my first time to Villa Ravenna, and it won't be my last. It's the best Italian food I've had since I was in Italy itself. Our waiter recommended that my girlfriend upgrade her spaghetti bolognese to fettucini, and recommended I upgrade my fettucini alfredo to carbonara; both of these recommendations were spot on and an excellent idea. The tiramisu was legendary. The wait staff was attentive and all seemed very happy to be working there. I've been recommending this place to everyone!"

  • "First off, I want to single out our sever, Jerry. He did an outstanding job and provided some of the best service I've ever had. We shared the calamari appetizer which was tasty and not greasy. We both had a cup of the lobster soup (forgive me I forgot the exact name). It was creamy, a little sweet and went well with the garlic bread. My girlfriend had the black fettuccini w/shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari in an olive oil/garlic sauce. Very tasty! I had the veal Osso Bucco. The meat was incredibly tender, rich and flavorful. It was served with a creamy mushroom risotto. We paired with a bottle of Torro Sangiovese (forgive my spelling). Overall, it was one of the best meals I've had. We were truly impressed and will be back."

  • "We had the wild boar sausage appetizer, it was excellent. All the food we tried was great making us want to return to try other offerings. Impressive wine list."

  • "I LOVE Villa Ravenna. It is my favorite restaurant in Tulsa bar none. Real Italian food served in a relaxed atmosphere. Every dish I've had is fantastic and the staff always attentive."

  • "Used to go here for years. One of the best Italian restaurants in town. Over the last four visits, the service level has progressively worsened up to yesterday. Yesterday's service was so bad, we will never go there again. While previously the prices were slightly above average, I felt like it was a steal with the excellent food and great service. Now, with the food quality slightly dropping and the atrocious service, I feel as if I am getting robbed. We have such good memories of the place that we have given it three chances. No more."

  • "My husband and I went to Villa Ravenna for dinner before going to 'Wicked' @ the PAC. It was our first trip there and was exactly what we were hoping for: Quiet, romantic, delicious. We ordered seasonal dates wrapped in prosciutto as an appetizer. Yum! We both had a soup, mine the creamy mushroom and his the one with lobster. (Which we both preferred). For an entrée he went with the classic lasagna which was great, filing, and inexpensive. I went with the 1/2 lb prawn with linguine which was delicious, but pretty expensive and somewhat awkward to eat. The linguine was simple but amazing! My favorite part of any meal is dessert and I wasn't disappointed with their amazing cannoli. Our server, Lee, was wonderful and we would return."

  • "We went for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The wild boar sausage appetizer was amazing. I had Yani's special which was clams, mussels and shrimp with linguini and red sauce. My wife had the best chicken parm she has had since we moved from NYC. We would eat there weekly if we didn't live in OKC."

  • "Very good dinner. Menu is very extensive with many interesting choices. I would recommend not ordering the minestrone soup though. It was fuull of veggies and pasta and beans but the broth was very bland."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. I've been to Tulsa on business many times and am finally glad they have a real Italian restaurant. No reason to dine in any mediocre Italian chain restaurants. I enjoyed a good Cesar salad, excellent black fettuccine with perfectly cooked seafood. The creme brulee was also very good. One item that could be better would be the bread, but I am extremely hard to please when it comes to bread. "

  • "Great food! Love this place. Highly recommended and would go back"

  • "I feel like the food was over priced for the quality served. The presentation was just adequate. The Italian restaurant had run out of bread by the time we arrived at 7:30 PM which was a disappointment."

  • "My husband and I have always loved this restaurant for its delicious food. However, they are clearly understaffed. It was not our waiter's fault that the service was bad, but it would have been impossible for him to provide good service with the number of tables he was assigned to. We never got a 2nd glass of wine, my salad came out missing a couple of ingredients and we waited so long for our dessert that by the time they brought it out, it had clearly been sitting for awhile, as the bread pudding was cold and the ice cream was melted. Also they crammed too many tables in. The tables were so close together you couldn't walk through and it made it very noisy, ruining the quaint ambience the restaurant suggests."
