We asked the host for a larger table in the main dining area. He said there were none. He brought us to another room where we were the only patrons. We noticed throughout the meal the larger tables in the main eating area were never used. We felt like outcasts wince we questioned the waiter/host about a larger table. We could feel his superior attitude therefore for questioning his he put us in the out of the way dining area. Twice I had to get up to find our waiter since all his other patrons were in the main dining area. The food was excellent, but the attitude of your waiter/host rally ruined the evening.

The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. The gnocci with wild boar sausage and fennel was excellent, as were our appetizers and desserts. With a $39 fixed price three course menu, it's fine dining at an affordable price.

My wife and I dined here last evening and the experience was fantastic. Service was attentive and prompt (courses arrived as prior ones were cleared) and while the dining room was full there were no delays. The full dining room got festive at times, but by no means loud. We would still rate it as quiet overall. Quail and fillet were both perfectly cooked, seasoned, and garnished. This restaurant is on par with any of its more famous competition area. The pumpkin risotto actually tasted like pumpkin and not the sweet odd flavor common this time of year. The wine list was small, but approachable and very details. Something that is important when ordering wine varietals for the first time. We will definitely be going back.

We were out to celebrate my husband's birthday but didn't tell the restaurant. They must have overheard my toast to him because our dessert came out with a Happy Birthday note - very impressed!! First and second course were delicious, but wasn't crazy about the dessert. The wine was nice as well. Obviously in a converted home, so the rooms are small and cozy. Luckily the diners around us and we all kept our conversations low so as not to interfere with each other's evening. We've already recommended it to others.

It's so comforting to find a place that you can rely on to provide an excellent meal. The atmosphere is refined without being fussy. The service is attentive without being pushy. And the food is creative and beautifully prepared. Highlights that the five of us enjoyed from this meal included the roasted cauliflower soup with a single scallop, sauteed calamari, steak tartare, lobster risotto, black and white seafood pasta, and the exquisite apple strudel. The only (slight) disappointment was the breading topping on the rack of lamb - the lamb itself was perfectly done, but the topping seemed to take away rather than add to the flavor of the lamb, somewhat masking it, and I ended up scraping it off.

We were out of town visitors in the area for just a few days. Based nearby restaurants on Open Table - we decided to try this based on the excellent reviews and interesting menu. A small, cozy restaurant in a small building with modern, inviting decor, exuding quiet intimacy. We had a completely wonderful experience - warm personal attention by the hostess, attentive waiter with excellent knowledge of menu combinations, outstanding Northern Italian dishes created by the chef - our entrees were chestnut gnocci (with white truffles as special addition just in season) and stuffed quail. Divine dessert of souffle. Small difficulty finding the narrow driveway at the side of the building for parking in the back. Enjoy this wonderful place!

Great place for foodies! My husband had the quail stuffed with rabbit sausage, not your everyday dish, but done so well it may be his regular order at this restaurant. I had the halibut special which can be easily ruined by over cooking, but this was done to perfection.

This restaurant serves great food in a quiet atmosphere. The entire experience is always excellent. Romantic ambience. Hostess and waiter nice even though we were 15 min late. We tried 3 dishes: The octopus for appetizer, the quail and veal for entrees. All three did not taste good and was pretty pricey considering quantity and quality. . Surprised because the restaurant got good reviews. Has potential but need a new menu!

My wife and I took our daughter to Villa Mozart to celebrate her 50th birthday. The restaurant was quiet and refined and the service was friendly - we are recognized there. The $20 three course fixed price menu was available - it is a "good deal" and we usually order it - but it did not appeal on this occasion. There was no fresh fish. However they were flexible and modified a couple of their menu items to meet our requests. We always find the service to be first class.

I had been wanting to try Villa Mozart for awhile and the pasta event finally got me to venture from downtown DC to the burbs; it was worth the trip. Started with the grilled octopus which was vary flavorful and tender. We then did 3 pastas; all of which were very good with the gnocchi being the standout. Decent wine list at reasonable prices and the starter cocktail was first rate; I had a manhattan and my partner had a martini. Service was attentive without being intrusive and we spent the evening by ourselves in a the small dining room to the right as you walked in. A really nice evening out.

Cafe Mozart delivers consistently high quality and tasty food (calamari, pasta, meat). The ambiance could be better, the rooms are too small and the decoration is not inviting. The wine was excellent as well. The desert (Tiramisu) was the only plate that left us wanting more - it was too small and a bit bland.

Villa Mozart is so wonderful I am hesitant to write how good it is for fear of it being overrun, but it is absolutely wonderful. Small, quiet (now there's a revolutionary idea), great ambiance, excellent food and outstanding service. The fixed-price weekday (Mon-Thurs) dinner menu is a bargain (a la carte avaiable too). [we shared the speck as appetizer, had two kinds of pasta as a main dish (one with lobster, and the rye-ravioli) and shared the apfelstrudel for dessert. All was excellent, the apple strudel was one of the best I ever had (and I have had many). The wines were also of high quality. Service was friendly and attentive, decor was tasteful, lighting was right, music was background and just the right volume, tables are far enough apart to have private conversations - all in all we had a perfect dinner out at Villa Mozart and I would definitely go there again for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Food was ok. Great lobster, but so-so risotto (more al dante than I like, and not as creamy as i like). Certainly not bad, but not memorable either. I don't usually have much to say about the service, but the waiter was overwhelmed on the Tuesday that we went there. He was very busy, and forgot parts of our order. Not really attentive, and we had to flag him down several times. Not sure it was the waiters fault, as the place was obviously understaffed, but, it was the restaurants fault they didn't have enough servers. Again, the service wasn't a big deal, but the food was not as great as the last time we ate here. Not sure I would recommend this place if the food/service combo was regularly at the level we experienced.

We had driven by Villa Mozart on many occasions, but knew nothing about it. So, we decided to try it for my birthday. Wow, what a fantastic evening. First, the service was outstanding! We were never rushed, we were checked-on frequently, and our server was a genuinely nice person who truly enjoys his work. Second, the food was delicious. The chef/owner carefully and lovingly prepared everything we ate. The menu options were interesting (i.e., not run-of-the-mill), presentation was beautiful, and most importantly everything we ate tasted was terrific! Lastly, we enjoyed the option of appetizer, meal, dessert for an extremely fair price considering the high quality of the entire experience. We will definitely return and we will bring friends!

We went for Villa Mozart's Monday summer pasta special--basically, each couple chooses three of a dozen or so regional Italian pastas, all matched with creative, seasonal pastas. With appetizer, dessert and an excellent Chianti, it was among the best of many good meals we've had at Villa Mozart, the best Italian restaurant in Northern Virginia.
