  • "The view was great. We had a table by the floor to ceiling windows and we could see the pool and ocean. The brunch it's were eclectic. Along with the typical breakfast items, they served quail and lamb, Spanish inspired dishes (tapas), a seafood section with large shrimp and oysters on the half shell along with fresh sushi."

  • "Our server was slow rude and overall just not a good waiter the noise from the hallway of the hotel was very disruptive"

  • "I went for brunch on Mother's Day & had an excellent time. The hotel itself is stunning and vida is fabulous. Great good, great service. I will definitely be back!"

  • "We attended Mother's Day brunch and it was lovely. The management team is wonderful! I called several times to add more guests to my party and they we're very accommodating. The food and service were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant! "

  • "We enjoyed the vast array of lavish brunch offerings and great service. More stars would be awarded if the manager did not give us a hassle about a price in discrepancy for the Brunch. We received a confirmation for $59/per person but they insisted on charging us more. They only finally honored the printed confirmation price after an unnecessary confrontation. Poor customer service by the management staff."

  • "For the price the selection was too small. Not enough on the salad bar. Not enough hot seafood items. The layout was confusing."

  • "We are staying at the Fontainebleau and thought we would try a restaurant I. The hotel. We started with calamari which was soooo salty and the sauce was very "mayonaissey". We also had the lobster guacamole which was very salty as well. Then I had mixed greens salad which had ingredients in it that the server couldn't even identify and was also salty. My husband had a caprese salad which was also salty. At that point we decided we were full. In their defense, the waiter told the manager that the food was oversalted and they brought us a dessert on the house. Still cost a fortune like everything else in south beach but the service was great. We may have caught them on an off night. "

  • "We ate at Blade Sushi, next door to Vida. If you like Sushi, this is the place to go. VERY good! Pricey as sushi will be, but well worth it. Great drinks and wait staff excellent. We would go again!"

  • "Arrived in Miami and was staying at the Fountainblu and needed to get a quick bite to eat with my son. We heard about Vida at the hotel so we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and food. We also went there for breakfast today which was very good."

  • "This all inclusive "Sunday Brunch" is the best around (not to be confused with their regular breakfast offerings). The extensive food selections included great sushi, salads, grilled meats, vegetable dishes, killer blue cheese gnocchi, large fresh shrimp, lox, custom omelets, delectable desserts, and unlimited bloody marys or mimosa. Of special note on deserts....the selection was fantastic and always includes house made ice cream-yum! Price includes parking. Early seating times are very busy due to hotel guests using this same facility for regular breakfast service. Also, opt for a table in the area closest to the open kitchen where the hot foods are served. This location avoids traveling through tables and traffic. Great brunch!"

  • "Be prepared to pawn your jewelry. Can you believe $70 for a salad, fried calamari and a tuna roll? oh add a bottle of pelligrino. While it includes a service charge (...ie. gratuity--so be careful you don't add another 15% inadvertently)....this is still an outrageous amount for lunch.......even for a beach hotel! Be forewarned."

  • "Very little ambiance. More a place for breakfast. Went to the Thanksgiving buffet and will not return. Food was good...not great. Was not expecting table clothes....but not even place mats on the tables. More an informal walk in with flip-flops type place."

  • "For $65 pp I expected the buffet to be top notch. Dining at the Fontainebleau many years ago used to be a sublime experience. Sadly it no longer is. The stone crabs were thawed from frozen and dripping with moisture you could squeeze out of the meat, served without the iconic mustard sauce. They had a large variety but most hot dishes were not hot, the prime rib sub-par. The desserts were just OK."

  • "By far the best brunch I've ever had! Best variety best selection best combination best freshness you name it! Only complaint is the service is not great...manager is fabulous but wait staff only ok but it's worth going to bc of the food!!!!"

  • "I met a friend for a late lunch and the restaurant was only 10% full. The food was good, the service was better. The waiters were friendly, and eager to please. The biggest draw back is that I had to pay $20 to valet park (plus tip) which made the lunch more expensive. If the restaurant validates, the hostess/waiter should have offered to stamp my parking ticket upon learning (they asked) that I wasn't a hotel guest. If the restaurant doesn't validate, it should. The parking is a major deterrent for me when I next want to meet a friend on Miami Beach."

  • "Amazing service! the food it was very good, you must have to try the salmon!!! delicious, very well cooked and perfect flavor with the cuscous and herbs! children's menu it was very good and you have for them healthy options like chicken with veggies but they just need to update the veggies dish for be more atractive to kids! the fruit salad for children: *****!!! mix of the best fresh fruits!!! also they have drawing fun activities and as a prize if they eat the whole meal: a big warm delicious chocolate cookie! kids loved this restaurant & we came back on the enxt day! the only not good thing, wines...so so...and the mojito cocktel they must have to improve, it wasn't good..."

  • "Overall we had an amazing time at vida! The food was delicious! The entire staff was extremely accomodating to my friends many allergies and ensuring she would be able to have just as good time and leave with a full tummy! The lobster guacamole was great but extremely overpowered with red onions. Skip cappuccinos and coffee though as they came out weak and cold. Otherwise everything at our table was perfect!"

  • "Our daughter of 9 loves steak, so we chose Vida. Hard to believe but everything went perfectly well. Food amd service was outstanding, and the beer menu was extensive with foreign beers. We would come back for our farewell dinner."

  • "A lovely relaxing dining experience with great ambience, rather romantic. This was our first visit to Vida and we would definitely return. We all ordered the rotisserie chicken which was a very generous portion - we ordered an extra plate of vegetables as we felt they were not enough in comparison to the chicken portion. The service was excellent with friendly staff. We didn't have wine so cannot comment."

  • "I had the salmon which was actually very good. My parents had the Cobia and beef dish and said it was good but not anything to go crazy over. The service was excellent though with the waiter being very knowledgable of the menu and wines. He was able to suggest a wine to go with all of our dishes. We had a great experience."

  • "There was a great assortment of dishes from traditional breakfast fare to sushi and cerviche, and everything in between. All were of incredible quality...not just for a buffet! The desserts were fabulous and the service was excellent."

  • "I would recommend Vida. The food is very fresh, flavorful and presented nicely. The staff is very friendly and will cater to your every need. The restaurant is very nice inside but casual attire is also acceptable. A little pricey but you would pay the same at other restaurants where the food is just ok. I don't mind paying the price if the food is this good. Worth every penny for food this fine."

  • "My girlfriend and I were staying at Fontainebleau for the weekend and decided to do their Sunday Brunch and were very happy that we did. While the price tag, much like everything else at Fontainebleau was shy high ($180 inc. tax and gratuity for brunch for 2), I had zero complaints about it for what we received. Breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, dessert buffet, and even a raw bar with awesome salmon tartare. Can't forget all the Mimosas and Bloody Mary cocktails you can drink. For me, running a restaurant and eating out a minimum of twice a week, you have to do something pretty special to even get my attention for a buffet and Vida delivered. This is something to definitely check out. Make sure to make a reservation. Place gets packed fast."

  • "It was our first time we chose vida for the American food menu we had seen online. We were put all the way in the back corner ( even though the restaurant was nearly empty). The hostess was very nice and pleasant, but our waiter was far from that. He was very cold and serious and made our dining experience awkward. I'm in the hospitality industry and I have always been taught to not only be an "order taker" , but also make sure you provide a great experience for your guests. Especially if gratuity is included, you should have to earn it."

  • "I could see the effort everyone went through for Mother's Day but the food was just fair: crab legs watery, Beef Wellington dry etc. The service was wonderful but it was too dark inside. This was an afternoon brunch, it didn't need to be ambient like a cave. The worst thing was being held captive by waiting 45 minutes for our car to be handed back to us. That was a shambolic scene on the steps with everyone from babies to seniors waiting up to two hours for their cars to be returned to them. I know you contract that service out but it was still under your name. No one seemed to be in charge and no one cared how long we waited. Never again."

  • "The Buffet was very expensive, Not as good as before, The meat selection was not very good as the only meat dish was lamp. The Prime rib is much better. Looks like they are not making the buffet as nice as before and cutting cost. Its shows."
    Dined on 4/14/2013
  • "The service was inaceptable, we waited 90 minutes for our food and we ask to cancel the order, and we where ignored, I will never recommend this place to any body."

  • "Ate here for lunch on our first day of arrival at the Fontainebleau and again for their Sunday Brunch. Their Sunday Brunch was amazing! First off our server for Sunday Brunch, Isaac, was outstanding. Couldn't ask for a better server. He was very polite, friendly, and attentive. He definitely more than earned the automatic 18% gratuity added on the check. Thank you Isaac! The selection of food was appetizing with a variety of selections to fit your palate. They had an omelet station, carving station, seafood, dessert station, and even sushi with Tuna tartare! The seats were comfortable with great lighting. Worth the visit!"
