  • "We had dinner before the Eagle's concert and had reservations for 7pm. We were seated promptly. We had looked up the dinner menu on-line but when we saw the dinner menu it was different. We were advised they change it for nights that concerts and special events take place. It appeared to everyone in the group that many of the lower priced items had been removed but we were told the only items removed were ones that take longer to fix. However, I am not sure how long it takes to fix fish and chips. The service started out great but later faltered. The place is extremely noisy if you are trying to have a conversation. The food was very good and it gave us just enough time to get to the concert. Good place for before AAC activities."

  • "Directly adjacent to AAC, the location is the draw. Food's not bad, but Dinner Menu no longer includes filet or burger. Service was good. Our table for four was up against a glass exterior wall, and air conditioning was a little uncomfortable for mid-February. Can't recommend it, other than the fact it's a decent meal, and just so easy to get in and out of before a concert or sporting event. I recommend reservations...on the night we went, those without waited ninety minutes."

  • "While looking for a local place to eat prior to a concert, Open Table recommended Victory Tavern. With favorable reviews, it was worth a shot. Excellent and easy reservation for shortly after opening time (5pm). Large, friendly crowd waiting to be let in was fun and energetic. Service from the greeting to the departure was well above par and very appreciated. Food service was quick and complete including a special vegetarian plate for my girlfriend. Who knew you could grill creamed corn and shred brussel sprouts in them, adding to the mystique instead of detracting from the combination. All well done and definitely worth a return visit (or more)."

  • "Valentine's day menus are frequently a disappointment but Victory Tavern's definitely was not. The lobster fondue was very good and the Chateaubriand outstanding. Portion sizes were reasonable and service was attentive. A most enjoyable evening!"

  • "Our reservations were at 5pm when they opened. We were seated upstairs, which is out of the way and quieter than on the main floor. Our server was very attentive as was the "assistant waiter" who kept our tea glasses full. The food was very good and plenty. I had the flat iron steak and it was bigger than I anticipated. My wife had the rainbow trout and she was quite pleased."

  • "The valet was not complimentary or based upon tips. We walked in and waited a good minute for the host to finish her conversation with the bartender to assist us to our table. Great looking bar and restaurant with nice environment. The waiter came over five minutes later and ask for our drink order and left after he only got my girlfriend's, forgot to ask me. Then we ordered a appetizer once she got her drink and he came back ten minutes later to ask how it is and didn't realize, he forgot to get it. Got our appetizer a while later and had half of it, ask for the check and the waiter never came back to get my credit card. Ask the host if she could take care of it. Terrible place to eat in Dallas. Honestly it was very disappointing."

  • "We ate dinner at Victory Tavern just before a concert at the American Airlines Center and I have to say it was the perfect way to start the evening. If you're going before an event be sure to make a reservation, it was very crowded. We arrive right on time and they seated us immediately. There were 2 of us and they seated us at a really small table, we and the people around us actually had to scoot the tables aside to get in or out of our seats! The service was very fast, I'd say maybe a little too fast. I think they may have been hoping to turn our table again before the show but once our server realized that we weren't in a hurry she slowed down and we never felt rushed. The food was excellent, we'll definitely be back."

Blood orange margarita, advertised as "fruity" was bitter with no other flavor. Over $20 for one 2 inch diameter crab cake which was flavorless. Would not describe sound level as "energetic" but simply "too loud for conversation" even far away from the bar. Would not recommend."

  • "We had a lovely meal before a Stars game and the manager got us in even though we were late. Wait staff friendly and prompt. Only downside was the Valet parking. We specifically went there because they valet at AAC but when we returned for the car after the game, the attendants were rude and there was no order to anything-they brought cars back first to the highest tippers and were so blatant about it. We waited forever to get our car, really put a damper on an otherwise nice evening."

  • "The experience starts with the polite effeciency of the Valet personnel. The front desk personnel get you to your table very quickly even when there is an event at AAC. The food is excellent but you might want to consider a couple fast specialties for those of us who sometimes run late. Something simple but is filling and universally liked by adults on the go. The wait staff seem to be well coordinated so your food moves quickly and gets to you by a server other than the one you first met. That is good management."

We made reservations and they were kind enough to hold our table even though we arrived well after our stated time. Once we sat down, the place continued to fill up... and the level of service was not effected at all. Considering the number of people that were dining - I would've expected a bit of a drop off - but it never did! Great job! We'll definitely be back!"

He had great suggestions when certain aspects of a menu choice were not suitable, and really tailored our choices to our preferences. Our food was great and we really enjoyed the service."
