I went to Victor's a year ago while visiting NYC and had to go back again this time. And it did not disappoint. The service was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great for a relaxing dinner of 5 after trekking through NYC all day. I will definitely be back again next time!

We were very surprised to find come to this restaurant to enjoy amazing food. Everything was great. We tried the taste of Cuba and were extremely satisfied. The sangria was great and a half of pitcher was perfect for the two of us. Our favorites were the Ropa Vieja and the pork dish. The black beans are not your average beans. I don’t know what they put in them but we could have just ordered that and been happy. We will be back!!

I have been to Cuba, and found the food consistent with the overall standard of the country. But there's no denying the level of food at Victor's is high -- the quality, the taste, the range. Returning again was a delight -- we were impressed with our lamb, our starters and a shared dessert. And we had ample time to enjoy it before departing for an 8 o'clock curtain at the theater.

A regular stop for trips to Manhattan. The ceviche, served in a tower of mango and avocado, is the best I've had anywhere!!! The sliders made with chorizo are also yummy. The plantain chips and salsa are so much better than tortilla chips. For something different than all the Italian food near Times Square, go for it.

First time visit to NYC and we were looking for a reasonably quiet place close to our Broadway show that would have quality food. I actually keyed in these characteristics in Google and Victor's popped up. As it turned out, it was right across the street from our show. We couldn't have been more pleased, and not because it was so close, but because the ambiance, food, drink and service were impeccable. When I come back to NYC, Victor's will definitely be on my list again!

We were so pleased to hear the fabulous trio playing authentic Cuban music; we were tempted to get up and dance, the music was so infectious. Thank you for an awesome pre theater dining experience.

This once fabulous restaurant needs a major overhaul. The service (waiters) were slow and Didnt want to refill the plantain chips. The pricy appetizers were bland with no taste. The ham croquettes were bright spot. The bass fish special was described as having fresh mango/corn topping. It only came with a tiny small side. Terrible presentation. Our bill was nearly $400.00. Worst money ever spent. Plus the waiter didn't want to take a group photo for us. Go elsewhere!

My wife and I came to Victor's Cafe for her birthday while catching a show in the city, and this really was the icing on the cake. The food was incredible! And the service from the wait staff to the host and the coat check attendant was very good. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I had the Lechon Asado, which was on point! Very delicious. My wife had the Ropa Vieja, which she liked a lot as well. We definitely plan on coming back to Victor's when we're back in the city.

We found this place either from reviews on OT or Urban Spoon, I can't recall which but it was a delightful find as we wanted to try something different. The location was good since we had theatre tickets. The menu choices were fabulous, wines by the glass choices were good and everything we had was delicious. We started with Harina con Jaiba from the hot appetizers as we wanted to try something new -- it was rich and tasty. I had the simple but traditional Arroz con Pollo “a la Chorrera” which was delicious and my only regret is that I couldn't finish it and had no way to take the leftovers. My friend had the suckling pig which was also delicious but another dish that we couldn't finish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back if/when I get to return to NYC.

Service could have been better. It took 20 minutes before our waiter took our order and we had to wave him down to get his attention. We even had to ask another waiter for our bill because our waiter was nowhere to be seen. This is a great restaurant otherwise. I hope that they do not lose customers for this reason.

The food was fine, but not that good. If you are looking for authentic Cuban, try somewhere else. You pay theatre district prices for okay food, but nothing that special. The plantains were extra, which is unforgivable for a real Cuban restaurant. The prices were too much for ropa vieja or leccho asado and while the dishes were fine, the white rice and black beans were better than average. Might be okay for those who don't know good Cuban food, but I would fine somewhere else in the future.

We love cuban food and looked forward to our meal. The food was average or below but not worth the price. If you don't want fried food, don't get the cuban mixed appetizer. Paella was greasy and disappointing. The noise level was terrible. It was so loud that we could not even attempt to hold a conversation. We passed on dessert so that we could escape the noise. We will to not be returning.

Victor's Cuban Cafe would hold its own down on Calle Ocho. The suckling pig is spectacular, the house-made banana chips are addictive, and they have the best sangria in town (ideal as an appertivo). Short but adequate wine list (Albariño is ideal with the pork). Perfect for pre- or post theater dining.

After enjoying Victor's Cafe for years as an authentic bit of Havana offering all the typical flavors and home-cooked goodness, so sad to find Cuban-ish flavorless overpriced meals. Stylish redecoration but the soul is gone. Had a paella with half a spiny lobster tail, four shrimp, a scattering of calamari and two clams and two mussels in a mound of bland rice not even a hint of garlic, for $45.
