Vic’s is located in a beautiful old cotton warehouse overlooking the Savannah River and Historic River Street. With entrances on both Bay and River Streets, we are easy to access.   • "We had dinner at Vic's on a Tuesday evening. We sat down at 6:45 or so at a nice table with a view of the river and South Carolina across the water. The restaurant was half full at most but, by the time we left at about 8:00, the place was full and the noise level had gone way up. My panko encrusted fish entree' was just fine. My friend had two small plates and reported that they were also just fine. There are restaurants in the city with better, more exciting fare (Sapphire Grill, Elizabeth, e.g.) but Vic's has location going for it and really is the best you can hope for in the middle of the river front tourist area."

  • "I made Friday 7:30pm dinner reservations and, based on input from other reviewers about the restaurant's noise level, I requested a table in a location that was not too noisy. My husband and I were seated in a perfect location next to a window along Bay Street view and noise was no problem at all. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and she did not rush us as we like to enjoy a nice, relaxed dinner when we are on vacation. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, shared a cobb salad and the pecan crusted flounder which were all prepared perfectly. I definitely recommend this restaurant to those visiting Savannah."

The food we had was good, but it was not what had been described to us. After waiting for the table and the food we did not want to send it back and wait. Our server did apologize when we pointed it out."

  • "My family of four people - ranging in age from Grandmother to teenager - really enjoyed this restaurant. We made a reservation well in advance to ensure a nice spot. We had a great table right next to the window. We started with Crawfish Beignets and Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers, Hot biscuits, Tomato Bisque, Baby Tuscan Kale Salad - all delicious. We also tried the Shrimp & Grits, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and Seafood Pirlau - all perfect. Having dined at many restaurants on frequent visits to Savannah, this is one of the better places, where the quality actually justifies the prices, and it isn't just a tourist trap."

  • "I made the reservation a week ahead and requested a river view because it was a special occasion. We were cheerfully accommodated. Our server was excellent, even nailing my slightly complicated cocktail order. We had a beef carpaccio appetizer which was super flavorful, then I had tomato bisque followed by the best scallops I have ever had. Rounded it out with sweet potato crème brulee which sounds good but tastes even better. I told my dining companion we had to come back every time I was in Savannah. Highly recommended."

  • "On our first visit to Savannah, this restaurant was highly recommend by friends & relatives. It lived up to the reputation. We bother ordered the Pecan Crusted Flounder and found it to be very tasty. If there was a negative to our experience it was the location of our table. I would highly recommend asking for a table in one of the side rooms. We were seated in the front part of the main entrance area...facing Bay Street. The bar was behind us. The "noise" from the entertainer was outrageously loud. Unfortunately she did not take a break while we were seated. I suppose it would have been tolerable if the musician was, at a minimum, talented."

Rare all were medium sent back ... when they came back still not right ... baked potatoes were hard.... very disappointed ... we were not offer a refund or even any type of discount our bill was 300 plus with tip.. Expensive treat for our dogs that where it went .. in a doggie bag ..... we won't be going back there !!! And we live in Savannah !!!"

  • "The crab cakes are incredible. We started with the fried green tomatoes that are perfect to share with another person: light and full of flavor. The sauce is wonderful. The crab cakes sit on risotto that is wonderful and my dining companion had the grits with shrimp, which she loved. The waitress was attentive and helpful in making our selections, but didn't hover. The host accommodated our wish for a window table. The bar looked busy but not too noisy. Overall, a wonderful experience."

There is also a balcony you can go out to look at the riverfront. We ordered the fried calamari as a app, shrimp and grits for me and the scallops for my boyfriend. Everything was outstanding!!!"

  • "Food was just ok. Same quality of food as most higher end chain restaurants, just more expensive (21 dollars for shrimp and grits???). Oh and the shrimp were not devained. GF had the shrimp and grits and i had the ribeye steak entree. Rib eye was cooked as ordered and no issues there. Great wine selection, atmosphere and decor to start off a great romantic evening. (I think the expensive food is to make up for the atmoshpere IMO)."

Both were excellent, in fact, the beef carpaccio was among the best I had ever eaten. Our entrees were the shrimp and grits and organic roasted chicken. Again, both were excellent and we were both very satisfied. Service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable."
