There are two lots on Vallejo Street and there is a public lot on Green Street directly across from the restaurant. The restaurant also has a white zone for drop off only.

Vicoletto is a wonderful little
restaurant on Green Street, North Beach. It has delicious food, a great wine list, and yummy desserts. It is small and popular. Make reservations! It is a lively atmosphere, so don't go if you are looking for a quiet intimate experience. The tables are banquettes and close together, but it did not interfere with our fun night out. We would return."

I've been to Vicolletto before and
had good experiences. However, this past time the service was terrible. I felt bad for the one waiter, who was working the entire restaurant alone. It took us an hour to be able to order dinner. The crab tortellini was a highlight, and we were impressed with the wine list. May be back, but maybe not."

Thank goodness we made a
reservation for a Sunday night because they were packed! Only problem was they were understaffed and overworked. Only 1 waiter, 1 busboy, and a bartender handled the whole entire crowd. To their credit however, they did give my parents each a free glass of wine. I guess they figured they better due to the noise and the lack of staff. Food was not outstanding but good. Portion sizes were not huge, and if you order Lasagna for example, thats all you get on the plate, Lasagna. No sides, no garnish, nothing. Raviolis were good, but portion not big at all either."

There are a lot of mediocre
Italian restaurants in North Beach, but this small, quiet spot in the heart of the neighborhood is the real thing. The menu is limited, with an emphasis on pasta dishes, and it does not disappoint. On a recent visit, we had crab-filled tortelloni, lobster ravioli, and tagliatelle in a delicious tomato meat saucer, and they were all sublime. The salads and dessert were great too. Very reasonable prices for the quality. A neighborhood gem."

Small, quaint and delicious. They
share the bathroom with the restaurant next door. After walking by and seeing it was bustling, hip and a whole different vibe, I was so happy to return to the quieter more personable place."

The food is authentic Italian
rather than the tourist expectation of what Italian should be. There is no fried calamari. Instead there is a lovely crudo plate of procuttio, salame, cheese and fried focaccia. Something you would expect an Italian grandmother to put on the table. The wine list is mostly Italian. Ask the waiter for a rec-- ours was very knowledgable and recommended a perfect wine for our meal. On the nagative side the table bread does not do justice to the rest of the meal."

The restaurant serves Italian food
and seafood. They offer two different kinds of glutenfree pasta (tagliatelle and penne), which was great since two members of our family are celiac. Our dinner was great, the food was tasty (both the dishes with and without gluten) and so was the wine. The place has a nice interior and it was crowded even though it was a Wednesday evening so I'm glad that we had made a reservation beforehand. The restaurant was a little bit noisy and we were sitting at the table next to the entrance where there was a bit of a draft but that was the only negative thing about an otherwise very nice restaurant that we can recommend to others."

3 of us went on Saturday night.
Service was quite slow and un-attentive. Waiter pleasant but over worked. Opening salad and all entrees (Lobster ravioli, pulled pork fettuccine and beet tortellini) were all very good."

Came here based on other reviews,
and was not disappointed. Food was perfect. We had the lasagna, which may be the best I've ever had, and while the chocolate lava cake was an 8, the panna cotta was a 10. It is loud, and the service is too slow for me to give it a 5. Some people may enjoy that pace, as it was consistent all night, but I like to have the waiter come by a little more often."

We were staying in North Beach,
and had been unimpressed with the other places we ate. Then we found Vicoletto. The food was fantastic. Service was great. And the wine was perfect. We sat on the patio, and it was a little noisy with all the people walking up and down the sidewalk, but hey, that's the neighborhood. We will definitely eat here again."

Acoustics and tight seating make
the restaurant loud, but luckily the food and service are very good. Busy place--reservations are highly recommended. Shared the burrata appetizer, which was as described buttery, creamy, and delicious--and is easily enough for four people. I had the lasgna with homemade pasta and bolognese, and it was outstanding. The portion was reasonable, not crazy big, but left a lot on the plate after my overindulgence in bread and burrata. My friend had the tuna tartare and a salad for dinner and said the tuna was fresh and delicious. It was a lovely meal at a lovely place, and we were out the door with apps, dinner, a glass of wine, and a nice tip for our wait for just under $80 for two."

We were entertaining out of town

Our main reason for choosing this
restaurant was the availability of gluten-free pasta, which they do not make in house (as they do with the regular pasta), but it is imported from Italy. They have gluten-free penne or spaghetti, and you can have it with any of the sauces they have available that night. My wife thought the GF pasta was pretty good. The waiter also permitted me to have the regular fusilli pasta (excellent!) with the sauce from another entree, which was very good. The salad also was good, and the tiramisu for dessert was among the best I have ever had. The space seems a little small, but our table by the front window was nice."

We had early dinner reservations,
5:15pm on a Friday. When we arrived, we were the only guests & the neighboring restaurants were full of people, chatter and delicious smells surrounded us. We thought that perhaps we had chosen poorly and the more popular restaurants certainly looked more vibrant. We decided to stay put and stick with our decision to eat at Vicolleto, and we're so glad that we did! Excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambience as we sat 5 people by the front window. Lasanga, pappardella, pasta with crab meat were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the tuna tartar, which was extremely wonderful! I'd love to return. Check it out!"

This is my absolute favorite SF
find. My husband and I used to live in the city and when we pay it a visit, this place is definitely on the list. It is like we are back in Italy. The wine is superb, the food, just right. I would say it is absolutely the best Italian food in North Beach. Brava!"

We were a group of 9 and reserved
only a couple of days earlier. Despite some teething problems on arrival initiated by one of our group but over-reacted to by the waiter, we had a great time helped by the great food and prompt service. My mozzarella starter could have been more tidily presented but my lobster pasta was simply stunning and a dish I will remember for a long time to come. We were the last to leave at around 12 but we didn't feel rushed in any way. All in all a solid thumbs up from our entire group. "

It is a neighborhood gem in the
center of North Beach where every corner there are Italian restaurants. If you are looking for a high quality/fresh pasta, fresh seafoods and other authentic Italian fare, it is a place for you! I have been here a few times and every time I leave with such a sense of a happiness with good quality of foods."

We saw Vicoletto as we were
wandering through the neighborhood last weekend, and I was able to make a reservation for dinner that same evening on my phone (thank you, Open Table!). The restaurant is a lovely gem with sleek modern decor with a select menu of excellent southern Italian dishes, including some great fresh seafood. Our experience was enhanced by the attentive staff and our friendly fellow patrons. I highly recommend Vicoletto to visitors and locals alike."

Great setting for small, and
intimate dinner. The full staff was very attentive, and provided great input when we requested suggestions on meal, and wine. I'd suggest you try the fresh mozzarella app.......delicious, and light start for the meal. The only minor criticism is getting a cab from Little Italy, or China Town is very time consuming. Best suggestion is to drive if you can. "

We needed to find a restaurant to
entertain a friend from out of town on Mother's Day, not an easy task. However, Vicoletto had available seating so we went there. The food was very good and the bottle of wine that our server recommended was excellent and not too pricey. The service was very good too, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without hovering. "

we had no problem getting our
seats we came early (6pm) the bartender was knowledgeable on the wine list with several wines form Italy the atmosphere upbeat the food was good we were going to a show down the street and chose this place based on reviews and location The selection on the menu is good Our food was served in a timely manner and we had time to enjoy the menu without a rush. The restaurant did become more busy it became later so I would recommend you arrive earlier if you want to be seated in a timely manner and have your meal served on time."

From walking in, we were treated
fabulously. I booked a table for 7, for a friend's birthday. The waiter (tall-ish with a small barely noticeable nose stud) was SO HELPFUL the entire time. He helped with the wine list, and recognized it was a special gathering right away. He was great with our questions and everyone was very satisfied with their order. Their pastas are really good-all made in house-and you can tell. The wine list was neat too-they have a lot of really interesting Italian wines. Overall, it was a great experience. Next warm day I would love to eat outside on the sidewalk-the street isn't too busy and it feels like you are right there in Italy. Thanks!"

First, I'll say that when the food
came, everyone enjoyed the homemade pasta and desserts. Nothing particularly standout given the number of excellent restaurants in the city, but solid. However, the service, while very friendly, was very slow. We had two younger children with us, who were clearly getting antsy - we had to ask to have some bread to snack on while we waited (bread was clearly included, they just hadn't brought it to the table). We had chosen the restaurant because other reviews had indicated it was kid-friendly, and maybe some nights it is, but they didn't have a kids menu or offer off-menu items (past is pretty easy to make up other preparations, right?). I seldom dine with kids, so maybe my expectations are off-base. "

We had an eclectic group of 7 --
SF family, Tennessee family with a few picky eaters thrown in. I thought a night in North Beach, Italian food would be fun, but with so many to choose from, I took a chance on Vicoletto based on OpenTable reviews. It was just what I hoped for. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, and the prices were not so high as to scare our out-of-towners. The picky eater? He ate wild boar with twirled macaroni! Everyone had fun."

Vicoletto continues to be our
go-to spot for truly amazing Italian food. With an Italian husband and having lived in Italy, we are very picky. We love the tagliatelle with funghi (fresh pasta with mushrooms) as our standby comfort food. I branched out and had the veal scaloppine, which was fantastic, and the gnocci with sausage, burratta and polpette (meatballs) are all divine, great italian wines at good prices. The owner just opened il Casaro, which has Naples-style pizzas, mozzeralla bar, arancini, etc., which is another amazing find - authentic Naples!"

My requirement was to have some
home made pasta, which every one of their pastas is. The Tagliatelle Fungi with truffle oil was delicious...the mushroom are so savory that you don't miss the meat, and the truffle oil gives off the perfect luxurious aroma."

This restaurant must be a very
popular spot because it was packed when we arrived. I made reservations through Open Table a few weeks before, as we were coming to San Fran for vacation. For whatever reason the host didn't have our reservation on file, but they was super accommodating and had a table for 6 set up ASAP. The food was great and the service was as well. Our waiter even gave us a complimentary glass of Moscato for dessert. I recommend Vicoletto to anyone who likes a cozy atmosphere and great homemade pasta!"

We went to Vicoletto before
attending Beach Blanket Babylon in North Beach. There were many choices for Italian restaurants in that area, but we made a good one. The service was friendly and efficient. We were made to feel welcome. The food was excellent. I had a Rotoli d Lasagna and my wife had the Gnocchi -- quantities were just right. We were very pleased and would go again. Location is just down the street from the theatre."
